Judaism is one of the oldest monotheistic religions, originating over 4000 years ago. It was founded by Abraham in 2000 BCE and codified through the teachings of Moses in the 13th century BCE. The core beliefs of Judaism are embodied in the Torah and emphasize strict monotheism, observing moral and ethical commandments, worshipping God, and maintaining family and community. Today there are approximately 15 million Jews worldwide who trace their religious origins and beliefs back to the ancient Hebrews in the Middle East.
