                    • Client C is a small financial services firm that had relegated IT support to one of the
                         managing partners. This partner’s departure from the firm prompted a technology review,
                         through which I repurposed hardware to replace a failing fileserver and developed
                         network backup services.
                    • Client D is a not-for-profit organization for which I provide desktop software support, WiFi
                         network design and configuration, as well as hardware platform power-tuning to extend
                         the productive lifespan of legacy computers.

            Senior Network Engineer, Enterprise Network Services                                               2000 – 2009
            Primary responsibilities included network troubleshooting and design on an enterprise scale, management of
            Cisco Access Control Lists to provide secure access for vendors and internal reps using Citrix desktops.
            Telecommuting position, requiring some travel to perform hardware installations or disconnects.
                 •    On one $24M project, ensured that all Access Control Lists were put in place to allow the reps to
                      traverse two Virtual Private Networks and take over network management and helpdesk
                      responsibilities for the client.
                 •    Routinely got ACL changes implemented in 1 or 2 days, when the standard Service Level Agreement
                      turnaround time was 11 business days.
                 •    Directly managed the conversion of 5 facilities from 3Com network gear to Cisco gear.

                      decommissioning 8 facilities.

            Provided IT support to manager laptops, sales rep and supervisor desktops, administering an NT Domain
            security infrastructure and the servers that provided it. Oversaw the growth of the network in the center from
            an outdated, mainframe-centered system to a 465-seat client/server domain.
                 •     Received a Destination Ovation award for managing the conversion of the Wichita Telemarketing
                       facility network from a two-segment Thin-Net implementation to a network consisting of 4 high-
                       density 3Com hubs and Cisco Catalyst switches with fiber-optic links between wiring closets.
                 •     Developed the process by which the 450+ machines rolled-out in the conversion process were
                       received into local inventory, loaded with NT Workstation, and placed on the tabletop. This was
                       completed in one weekend.
