3. Comparing Christian Bible And The New Testament
The Christian Bible is split into two divisions, the Old Testament and the New Testament. The Old
Testament, the first division, focuses mainly on the history of the creation of our world,
specifically the history and religion of the people of Israel. The second division, the New
Testament, mainly focuses on the life and religious teachings of Jesusand the beliefs of the Christian
church. Although the New Testament acts as an extension/continuation of the Old Testament, a
main difference between the two if the characterization of God and his relationship with humanity.
In both divisions, although God condemns those who are guilty of sinning and does so in a way
that can often be seen as quite wrathful, his loving side is depicted a lot more in the New Testament
than in the Old Testament.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the Old Testament, in the Creation Story (Genesis), God proves how vicious he can be with his
punishments when he punishes the serpent for allowing Eve to touch the tree of knowledge. The
Bible states, And the lord God said unto the serpent, because thou hast done this, thou art cursed
above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt
thou eat all the days of thy life, (Gen. 3.14). Right then and there God exhibits his power over all
living things. God has a very strong opinion about the life that he s created and always has
consequences for things that he finds wrong with the world. In the Flood, while conversing with
Noah, God says, The end of all flesh is come before mel for the earth is filled with violence
through them and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth, (Gen. 6.13). The God being depicted
in the Old Testament is very merciless and seeks full divine judgment for all things he

4. The Impact Of Media Industry On The World Essay
Media industry companies throughout the world has changed significantly during the last decade.
Just as once film industry has been threatened by and had to adjust to the introduction of DVDs
instead of VHS tapes, nowadays, a similar pattern can be identified with introduction of digital
platforms. Various media companies, including film and music production, distribution,
television, publishing, etc. have to not only adapt their services to this emerging development,
but also find new ways to keep up with direct and indirect competitors. The former ones include
large over the top services such as Netflix and Spotify, which have been a sort of pioneers in the
field of digital platform distribution and which are acquiring more and more power by day; the
latter ones are self production release platforms, most evident with Youtube replacing television
and blogs replacing printed magazines and newspapers. Canadian based media companies today
are struggling to keep up with the ongoing movement. This can be clearly seen from current
closures, merges that are the result of digital predominance of big american companies. Throughout
the course of the semester, both individually and in groups, we looked over various distribution
paths and explored the existing patterns both in class and through our assignments. In this carry

the industry, especially in Canadian premises and draw some

5. Fuzzy Logic Is a Way to Deal with Imprecise Concepts Essay
As I sit down to write this paper, I am also waiting for my laundry to finish. I set the machine to
auto load size and dumped my clothes in, oblivious to the actual size of the load. The machine
can calculate the size of the load for me, and assure that my clothes are washed at the proper
temperature for the proper amount of time. This is accomplished through the use of what is
referred to as soft computing, pioneered by a man named Lofti Zadeh (Peterson). Lofti Zadeh
was born in Baku, Azerbaijan in 1921. The son of an Iranian journalist and a Russian physician,
Zadeh s early life was spent under the influence of Soviet ideas. In an interview with Betty Blair,

The choice is no longer just zero or one. Fuzzy logic allows for fuzzy sets, which do not rigidly
follow a yes or no logic when attempting to determine the elements of such a set. Fuzzy sets can
include partial elements; elements that may or may not belong to the set depending on other
circumstances (Peterson). Because of this flexibility, fuzzy sets are used in soft computing, a
process engineers now use in many modern home appliances. Prior to the 1970 s, fuzzy logic had
not been put into practical, real world use. This changed when many Japanese manufacturers began
to implement simple fuzzy systems in their household products, leading to the vast amount of items
which make use of soft computing today (Zadeh).
To go back to a previous example, my washing machine determines which type of cycle to use
based on the weight of the clothing. A small load or a medium load is not rigidly defined, but the
fuzzy logic allows the washing machine to approximate the type of cycle it should use. An
amount of clothes on the cusp of both small and medium could be placed in either category,
depending on other variables such as fabric mix and the amount of detergent ( Fuzzy logic ). In
this specific example fuzzy logic and soft computing can lead to errors, such as a wash cycle
erroneously stopping after the clothes become heavier due to

6. Historical Context Of Oppression
Introduction Growing up in America it seem that success was described in a way that was very
obtainable for everyone to reach as long as you worked hard and got an education. Now
assessing life and some of the experiences I have had, I don t remember anyone explaining that
white privilege had that exception. With a social worker perspective it helps me understand that
different cultural group are associated with being vulnerable because of cultural norms in
diverse ethnicities of individuals. Identifying as an African American woman has many life risk
factors associated with those identities. One example that I have had personal experience with
was racism. While striving to become a better person and working to obtain my bachelors degree
in Social Work, I took notice to how the residents of the rural environment were uncomfortable
with my identity s being African American and woman. I often got racially profiled by police
and even was called hurtful names by residents due to the color of my skin and stereotypes. In
further support of my experiences Draut (2017) acknowledges that hierarchies continue to
marginalize black people, women and immigrants. As a Social Worker it is a part of our duty to
Ethics to encourage dialogue and provide education on stereotypical biases to begin to see change
in the way that diverse groups are viewed and treated. Historical Context of Oppression Overtimes

7. Why Girls Get Periods
Period Questions
Why do girls get periods?
Every 28 days (or month), your uterus lining thickens in preparation to receive a fertilized egg if
you were to become pregnant. If this egg isn t fertilized, your vagina will release this uterine lining
in the form of blood. This is why you get your period!
What exactly is the blood that we push out when we have our periods?
The blood you push out every month (or so) when you get your period is the lining your uterus
prepares to receive a fertilized egg. When you do not get pregnant, this lining is released through
your vagina.
How often should I be getting my period?
Technically you should be getting your period every month. However, every girl and every single
one of our bodies is different. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Brownish blood does not necessarily mean something is wrong. In fact, plenty of women
experience this throughout their menstrual cycle. Sometimes, brownish discharge means that a little
blood stayed in your uterus for a day or two before it came out.
I keep bleeding through my pads/tampons, is that normal?
Menstrual flows vary from woman to woman, some of us bleed a lot more, some bleed a lot less
during our periods. If you are bleeding through your pads and/or tampons it might mean you
need to opt for products designed a heavier flow. However, if your periods are very heavy in flow
and are accompanied by lots of pain and other symptoms you should visit your doctor to find a
solution to your heavy periods.
My period came earlier than expected, what does that mean?
Your menstrual cycle will vary throughout your life. If your period came earlier than expected it
you shouldn t worry. First of all, it means you re not pregnant (Phew!!!). You will see as you
grow older that your period cycle will stabilize. If you d like to have a more predictable menstrual
cycle though, you should talk to your doctor and consider getting on the pill.

8. The Land Registration Act ( Lra 1925
The Land Registration Act (LRA) 1925 has drawn much flak over the years with regards to one
of its most important provisions on overriding interests (OI), which often goes unnoticed until it
swoops up and takes priority over the rights of a future purchaser. These interests often come in
the form of other occupiers in the property with an equitable interest and, like in the case of
Boland , this leaves the lender in a tight spot when they find out about the existence of these
interests only after they have initiate proceedings for possession against the defaulting borrowers.
Due to the other occupier s concealed nature on the property register, the lenders have regained
their footing by applying the concept of overreaching and ..... The Law Commission, on the other
hand, contemplated abolishing these interest altogether but did not go to that extent because it

9. Essay on The Artwork of Henry Matisse
Matisse once said, A good art work should be like an arm chair in which you could relax at the
end of the day . This statement of Matisse s indicates that artist s artwork should be an art of
balance, of purity and tranquillity devoid of troubling or depressing subject matter. An art which
is created for everyone in society and that is like a pacifying influence, something like a good arm
chair in which you could rest from physical fatigue. Moreover, his paintings are about imagination,
dreams and about the nature itself. Matisse s Fauvist paintings Large Red interior and Open
Window Collioure are great examples of Matisse s attitude and response to the world around him.

The division of the canvas into patches of pure unmixed, warm and strident colour positioned in
powerful contrasts with each other, translating the emotions of Matisse. This creates a balance
in the artwork by applying equilibrium of colours on both of the sides of the canvas.
Primitively, this was the way of Fauvists expressing their emotions, through the use of vibrant
colours and compositions. In this way we can see that Matisse artwork is an art of balance
which avoids the depressing subject matter. Henri Matisse further explores the Fauvists ideas in
his art work, through the use of the lines and shapes. The lines and shapes play a significant role
in the work and the lines work together to establish balance. The balance of lines and shapes is
achieved through the geometric and organic shapes. The painting Open window, Collioure is
typically simplified into shapes and forms whose details are conveyed by untouched brush strokes
of roughly the same size. This creates an overall harmony that is unexpected in a composition of
such incompatible and dramatic complementary colours. Furthermore, the key to his success in
using such intense colours was the realization that he had to simplify his drawing. Matisse was
aware that if he intensified the colours for the expressive effect, it would be necessary to reduce
the amount of detail used in drawing shapes and lines of the objects. Moreover, by applying the

Andragogy is a term used by Malcolm Knowles to describe the process in which adults are prone

phases. 1. Changes in Self Concept. 2. The role of experience. 3. Readiness to learn. 4. Orientation
to learning. (Tiedeman, D. V., Knowles, M). (1979).
In the Psychosocial Rehabilitation world, individuals can participate as a student, in a classroom

The sociological imagination is to think of society from a different perspective and as an
individual to take a step back and think how a situation affects the bigger picture. One of the
biggest concerns in today s military is fear of retaliation from supervisors after an individual reports
sexual assault. Within the U.S. Militarythere have been policies put in place such as the
whistleblower protection act, but as we all know when there comes change individuals refuse to
comply. Civilians expect that U.S. Military members act in a more professional manner due to the
higher standards then the general population.
To start off there is absolutely no protection for members who have been sexually assaulted. Just
like any other civilian, service members have a job to go to and perform. Service members are
evaluated based on their job performance, the last concern they need to be worried about is fear of
going to work and being scrutinized by their peers including their boss. Victims that experience

Elmwood Park is a village in Cook County, located in the northwest suburbs of Chicago and it

were Italian cuisine and Italian pizzerias. I saw a lot of people outside as it was a nice warm day,
there was a park that was filled with young children and some elders, there was also some other

The psychodynamic approach was proposed by Freud. This approach towards personality is
based on the notion of underlying forces such as the id, ego and superego which are either present
from birth or develop during childhood shape our behaviour and personality as such. Experiences
in childhood are proposed to be the basis of human personality, according to Freud and as such
Psychodynamic theory proposes that some undesirable unbalances between the id and superego can

Another strength of the psychodynamic approach to personality is that it has provided a valuable
insight into how early experiences or relationships can affect our adult personality. One of the
examples of this is that fixations can be causes during even the earliest few months of childhood,
such as the oral stage in psychosexual development, this can be caused by separation from the
caregiver too early or having feeding difficulties. These fixations can then lead to psychological
problems in personality centred around eating or drinking. Jacobs et al (1966) used the Rorschach
inkblots to compare the orality of smokers and non smokers, finding that smokers emerged as being
significantly more oral.
On this note, the psychodynamic theory also provided psychological treatments which are still
widely used today in therapy for personality disorders. These two treatments in psychodynamic
theory are the Rorschach inkblot test and assessment/analysis of dreams. In the Rorschach test the
subjects perceptions of inkblots are recorded and then analysed using psychological interpretation,

Even Without Capes Ivanhoe was written by Sir Walter Scott in 1819. Set in England, between
the towns of Sheffield and Doncaster, Ivanhoe occurred during the end of the Third Crusade. At
this time, England was under the temporary rule of Prince John. Prince John sided with Philip of
France to ensure that his brother, King Richard, was kept in captivity by the Duke of Austria. He
feared Richard and was horrified by the prospect of his brother s return, as he wanted England
under his own rule. In Ivanhoe, King Richard eventually escaped from his imprisonment and
returned to England. He waited for the reinforcement of his allies to reclaim his throne. Even
though he was a Norman, Richard helped the rival Saxons. He wanted to end the dissension
between these groups as the Saxons felt oppressed by their Norman conquerors. He also obtained
help from the Saxons to defeat untrustworthy Norman leaders. Known as Coeur de Lion, Richard
was actually extremely similar to Beowulf. Beowulf was a powerful warrior, who travelled to aid

22. Ratios Analysis In Financial Analysis
Ratios analysis is quantitative analyses of financial statements. They can generally be categorized
into profitability, liquidity, gearing and valuation ratios (BBP P3, 2014). Ratio is used as a
yardstick for assessing the financial position and business performance of the organization. It is a
helpful tool to analyze and produce a meaningful interpretation of financial statements. This
technique helps in decision making process and finding out the relationship between different
trends and ratios (Accounting Managment , n.d).
For my RAP, I have analyzed the following ratios for both Delta and its comparator:

It does not indicate which environmental influences are more important than others, so managers
may use their own subjective judgments (Emile Woolf, 2010).
2.4.3 SWOT analysis
SWOT analysis is a framework that identifies the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of
an entity. It assesses what an entity can and cannot do. It also evaluates potential opportunities and
threats. These can be divided into internal and external factors (Investopedia, n.d).
Internal factors
The strengths and weaknesses relate to the availability and utilization of resources and capabilities
to establish what an entity is outperforming or underperforming and whether the available resources
are enough or in short.
External factors Opportunities and threats relate to external factors such as the impact of economic
changes, new technologies, new entrants to the market and powerful customer can have on the

23. Examples Of Poor Judgement In Alice In Wonderland
The book Alice s Adventures in Wonderland is about Alice and her adventure down a rabbit hole.
In the book she portrays very poor judgment and makes awful decisions. She may also be
dreaming throughout the book thus the reasons she makes very bad decisions. Alice has very
poor judgement, she makes awful choices throughout the book. Some of the choices she makes
puts her in bad positions but she somehow finds a way out of them. In the beginning of the book
Alice sees a rabbit wearing clothes saying he was late, so she followed it. She followed for
sometime and then it disappeared down it s hole. Alice, having poor judgment, followed it down
the hole without consideration of how she would get back out. She found herself falling down a very

26. Child Soldiers in India
The military use of young children takes three distinct forms: children can take direct part in
hostilities (child soldiers), or they can be used in support roles such as porters, spies, messengers,
look outs, and sexual slaves; or they can be used for political advantage either as human shields or
in propaganda.
Throughout history and in many cultures, children have been extensively involved in military
campaigns even when such practices were supposedly against cultural morals. Since the 1970s a
number of international conventions have come into effect that try to limit the participation of
children in armed conflicts, nevertheless the Coalition to Stop the Use of Child Soldiers reports that

The lack of systematic birth registration, particularly in rural areas, made it difficult to verify ages,
making it impossible to rule out the possibility that under 18s might participate actively in
hostilities. There were active recruitment drives targeting youths , particularly in the Kashmir

There was evidence that in areas of armed conflict children accused of being members of armed
groups were detained, often in violation of national legislation designed to protect children in
conflict with the law. In Manipur it was alleged that the system established under the Juvenile
Justice Act 2000 was non functioning due to inadequate resources; in particular no juvenile home

insurgency operations were reportedly claiming that they were over 18 when

Adolf Hitler was not a fabricated beast from a horror movie, like many seem to think. Hitler was,

hardships, failed the trials of life, became a power driven leader that kept Germany first, and
eventually caused the deaths of 11 million people. Hitler killed 11 million people with lives,
families, and the possibility of a future that was taken away from them. He was only a man, so
how could he have been capable of being so heartless and power hungry? He did not invent hating

test gives the peak power output. The mean power output is the average power given overall of
the 30 second test. The fatigue index is the decrease in power rate from the peak power to the end
of the test. These three are what was being measured in the anaerobic performance test.

Furthermore, in the fourth portion of the poem shows the speakers obligations to maintain her
freedom. In stanza four the speaker then states, I am a tornado child born in the whirl of clouds;
the center crumbled then I came. My lovers know the blast of my chaotic, giving that they
tremble at the whip of my supple thighs; you cross me at your peril, I swallow light when the
warmth of anger lashes me into a spin, the pine trees bend to me swept in my gyrations... (Lines
16 22). The speaker discusses his sexual encounters in lines sixteen through twenty two with the
Rosalie Richardson. The speaker explains how to maintain a sense of freedom through
sexuality, which was one of the ways that black southerners maintained their freedom. The last
lines of the poem which is in stanza five states, I am a tornado child. When the spirit takes my
head, I hurtle into the vacuum of white sheets billowing and paint a swirl of color, treaked with
my many songs (23 26). According to the text, stanza five just outlines the seemingly
purposeless nature of Rosalie s life. The speaker becomes creative by adding the use of colors to
describe the tone and Rosalie s feeling throughout the poem. The speaker uses white to describe
Rosalie life as a blank canvas and the swirl of color shows how she is open to various cultures,
which are greatly influenced by Dawes because he is exposed to numerous cultures. While
freedom is manifested in Dawes s poem, hopelessness is shown in Brooks poem. Therefore, in
Brooks poem We Real Cool, wickedness is defined through hopelessness. Throughout the poem
darkness manifests itself as the narrator discusses a group of teenagers that s all about living wild
and dying young because of hopelessness. The narrator starts off by displaying that they seem like
they are content with the alternative lifestyle that they outline throughout the poem, but that defiant
mood abruptly ends at the last line, when their demise seems to be an effect of all the
responsibility they had been putting off over the years. The poem describes the men s fears, their
motivations, and who they think they are, as opposed to who they really are. The first part of the
poem begins with, We real cool. We Left school (Lines

31. Summary Of American Jewry
The American Civil War was, with the exception of the presence of Loyalists during the American
Revolution, the only time in American history that neighbor turned against neighbor in both
widespread physical violence and enmity of the heart. This was true of the entire nation, but even
more so of American Jewry. American Jewry was a very small percentage of the American
population at the start of the war in 1861. During the conflict it was forced to confront its own
differences during the Civil War; the politics, policies and emotions of the war acting as a great
revealer which exposed the fractured unity of the tiny ethno religious group in America. While the
war exposed this fracturing, it simultaneously exposed the commonalities that American... Show

In his chapter The Rabbis and the Slavery Question , Bertram Wallace Korn notes how Judaisms
religious ideals and principles were interpreted in widely disparate ways when a crucial issue
faced the entire nation ; in the case of the Civil War that is interpreted according to geographic
sentiments and the ideologies that went along with them(slavery). With the exception of New
York City, whose general sentiments regarding slavery went along with the anti abolitionist
sermons of Dr. Morris J. Raphall and articles of Mordecai M. Noah, Northern Jewry tended to be
abolitionist while Southern followed their Christian neighbor s in extolling the virtues of slavery.
The reason for this kind of outlook is not surprising in the least, as any minority people will
invariably take up the majority culture as a means of survival. However, Jews were [possibly] more
prone to this throughout their stay in the early United States, as Rabbinic Judaism has always
championed that the law of the land is the law when living in the diaspora; a teaching which would
ultimately justify the beliefs and actions of both sides to themselves. In Shifting Veils , Diane
Ashton posits that especially in the nineteenth century Jews throughout the United States borrowed
and adopted the attitudes common to the regions in which they lived . For years prior to the Civil
War no Jew wanted to appear disloyal to their majority Christian neighbors (many of whom
regarded them with suspicion) or to their country, and as such did everything they could to adopt
the culture and beliefs of their region [either out of sincere belief or desire to blend in ]. A state of
war only heightened the differences within American Jewry that had been present all along, and

ESSAY ON ALTERNATIVE SOURCES OF ENERGY
The law of conservation says that energy is neither created nor destroyed. When we use energy, it
doesn t disappear. We change it from one form of energy into another. A car engine burns gasoline,
converting the chemical energy in gasoline into mechanical energy. Solar cells change radiant
energy into electrical energy. Energy changes form, but the total amount of energy in the universe
stays the same. Scientists at the Department of Energy think they have discovered a mysterious
new form of energy called dark energy that is actually causing the universe to grow!
The simplest way to define energy is said by: the capacity to do work by moving matter against an

the same fuel that is used by stoves, water heaters and clothes dryers stored in cylinders at
pressures of 2,000 to 3,500 pounds per square inch. Compressed natural gas is used in light duty
passenger vehicles and pickup trucks, medium duty delivery trucks, and in transit and school buses.
LNG, on the other hand, is favored for heavy duty applications, such as transit buses, train
locomotives and long haul semi trucks.
Fossil fuels come under non renewable sources of energy because we burn the fossil fuel to obtain
coal, oil, natural gas, petrol and etc and one day these resources will get over. Nevertheless, these
fossil fuels also cause global warming because of the increasing soil and air pollution on burning.
Take for example the case of our city Power Station which runs on coal. A fuel that is obtained
from wood, by chopping tress and leads to deforestation. This fuel is also difficult and hence
expensive to transport. Now burning of coal also leads to air and land pollution, which leads to

34. Logistics And Supply Chain Practices Essay
Logistics and Supply Chain Practices
Introduction
We have several logistics and supply chain management practices that increase the competitive
advantage of a business. They include among others lean thinking, information quality, customer
relations, strategic alliance and information sharing (Elizabeth, p.14). This section discusses lean
thinking and customer relations in the manufacturing and retail markets respectively. The
discussion is also based on a critical analysis of recent literature review in logistics and supply chain
management.
Critical Analysis
Lean thinking is essential to improve supply chain management. This is because lean thinking
ensures things are done just as they should. As an example, Toyota has demonstrated superior
results with regard to quality, cost and lead time compared to most (if not all) of its competitors.
This accomplishment has led to a widespread interest in the Toyota System of Production and its
way of doing business. Subsequently, various reviews of The Toyota Way have been done. This
has led to the characterization of lean production, which can now be seen as a generic description
of the Production System at Toyota. Despite there being many, diverse perceptions of what exactly
has led to Toyota s success, Toyota itself proposes that its system is based on considering the time
from getting the client s orders to cash collection and shorten this lead time by eradicating waste
(Chiarini 2011).
Customer relationship is also a key

35. Classroom Management Theories
Teacher training focuses on understanding child growth and development, teaching and learning,
behavior and pedagogical practices. These elements form the pool of knowledge teachers use to
teach effectively. Whilst these are extremely important elements for teachers to understand, without
adequate knowledge of the models and theories for classroom management, these concepts can
seem removed from hands on experiences in the classroom and schoolyard. This essay aims to
analyse three classroom management theories by highlighting the people involved, the key
principles, the strengths and weaknesses of the models and summarises the similarities and
differences between them. These are the Goal Centered Theory, the Choice Theoryand the Assertive
Discipline Theory.
The Goal Centered Theory (Rudolph Dreikurs, 1972)
The Goal Centered Theory (GCT) is a psychoeducational theory coined by Rudolph Dreikurs in
1972 (Lyons Ford, 2015). The theory is based on the principle that people are social beings that
behave in order to achieve social recognition and self determination (Lyons Ford, 2015).
Classroom misbehavior arises as a result of students mistakenly believing that disruptive
behaviors will lead to group belonging (Lyons Ford, 2015). The GCT requires educators to look
for needs based explanations for students misbehavior (Lyons Ford, 2015). Educators need to
engage in whole class discussions about meeting needs and understand that they will be provided
choices in terms of

agreed that forgiveness involves a willingness to abandon resentment, negative judgement and
indifferent behaviour towards the person who has hurt them Although research is recent, from the
last 15 years, it has helped develop our understanding of forgiveness . Research has shown that
forgiveness gives positive mental health and prevents the development of mental disorders such as
anxiety, depression and stress. Two major models of forgiveness are Enright s model and

In the work phase the individual will feel empathy toward the offender. Finally in the deepening
phase involves awareness of decreased negative affect, maybe an increase in positive affect. This
model was proposed to promote forgiveness in individuals and was developed from empirical
research. If forgiveness can be given this will improve an individual s mental health as the model
suggests and empirical evidence proves support this from a series of studies which had consistent
findings to support the argument that forgiveness does indeed give improved mental health. Hebl
and Enright (1993) conducted a study on elderly females who had suffered from various injusticies
such as spousal conflict and overmedication to show forgiveness can be induced and with
therapeutic goals. Further findings come from Coyle and Enright (1997) who used a forgiveness
intervention on males who had been hurt by a partners abortion who found forgiveness lead to
reductions in anger, anxiety and grief, therefore forgiving does have a positive effect on mental
health. A second study by Al Mabuk, Enright and Cardis (1995) on students who had been love

3. Results and Discussion
3.1. Absorption spectra study of 5 aminopyridine Schiff base (L1 and L2):
The absorption spectrum of probes L1 and L2 (40 ОјM) were investigated in the presence of metals
ions in DMSO solvent. As shown in Fig. 1, Schiff base L1 exhibited absorption band at 269 nm,
310 nm, 323 nm and 347 nm; and L2 at 264 nm, 319 nm, 341 nm, 439 nm and 462 nm, that may be
attributed to ПЂ ПЂ* charge transfer transition. However, no remarkable changes were observed in
absorption spectra after the addition of 1 equivalent various metal ions such as Ag(I), K(I), Li(I)
Na(I), Co(II), Cu(II), Cd(II), Pb(II), Mg(II), Hg(II), Mn(II), Al(III), Cr(III), Gd(III) and Nd(III)
ions. Interestingly upon the addition of zinc and nickel ions to the probe L1 absorbance peak shifted
to higher wavelength (red shift) from 347 nm to 413 nm and 410 nm, respectively. Thus, L1 Zn(II)
and L1+Ni(II) complexes exhibited color change from colorless to intense yellow color. Similarly,
the addition of Fe(III) and UO2(II) to the probe L2, absorbance peak lead to decrease at 439/462
nm while new peak appear at 355 nm and 366/ 515 nm, respectively. Consequently, the absorbance
peaks of L2 Fe(III) complexes shifted to UV region, thus light yellow color turned to colorless, and
in case of L2 UO2(II) complex absorbance peak showed red shift effect, that resulted in dark yellow
color (Fig. 2a and b). Thus, absorption spectral changes were enabled to detect Ni(II), Zn(II),

39. The Between Islam And Middle Eastern Countries
America is predominantly known as the melting pot of the world. It has cultivated a variety of
populations in search for a new life. People from a variety of religions, races, and ethnicities live
in this country and call it their home. People whom identify as Muslims are one of the many
groups of people who live, work, and worship here. Since we live in a country where there are
multiple religions and races, it is important that we learn their customs and culture. Muslims most
commonly originate from Africa, and Middle Eastern countries. The religion of this group of
people, Islam, developed in the seventh century. Islam helps put life into perspective and gives
hope to the hopeless . The beliefs of Islam revolve around the Quran, which was written by the
prophet Mohammad (Rippin, 2012 p. 5). As stated by Armstrong (2012), the formation of Islam can
be summarized as, a narrative that tells of the revelations given to the Prophet, the migration to
Medina, the battles of the early community, the return to Mecca and the subsequent conquests under
the Rightly Guided caliphs p. 88 . The religion of Islam that Muslims identify with is fairly new as
compared to other religious such as Judaism and Christianity. The Quran holds three basic
teachings; through law, the previous prophets ( Mohammed), and the final judgment (
Enlightment). Some of this parallels to what Christians refer to as the Doctrine and Bible of Christ.

40. Disadvantages Of Storage Virtualization
STORAGE VIRTUALIZATION Storage virtualization is the process of grouping physical
storage from multiple storage networks so it is unique. Storage Virtualization is the process of
presenting a logical view of the physical storage resources to the hosts. Cloud storage is the other
name for storage virtualization. It hides the internal working of the storage devices from the host
application. The management and storage of data is easily carried out using facilities like
backing up data, archiving data and also recovering data in case of failure in less time. These
facilities are made possible by SAN (Storage area network) which is used to implement storage
virtualization. San is a high speed sub network which consists of shared storage devices. Storage

This separation provides greater flexibility to manage the storage. The virtualization system
provides the logical space for data storage and also maps it to the actual physical location. There
can be various layers of virtualization and mapping so the output of one layer can be passed on to
the other higher layers. Virtualization maps between front end and back end resources where the
back end refers to a logical unit number that is not presented to the host system and the front end
refers to logical unit number that is presented to a host system. The actual form of mapping
depends on the implementation. In block based storage a single block of information is addressed
using a LUN identifier and an offset which is known as logical block addressing. The virtualization
software maintains the mapping information of virtualized storage. The mapping information is
called as metadata and is stored in mapping table. Some implementations do not use mapping table
instead they use algorithms to calculate the location for storage. Dynamic methods can be used for

41. The Best Kind of Sex Education
There is much controversy over which form of sex education should be taught, comprehensive sex
education, or abstinence only sex education. The definition for comprehensive sex education is
responsible and balanced sexuality education that seeks to assist young people in understanding a
positive view of sexuality, provide them with information and skills about caring for their sexual
health, and help them acquire skills to make decisions now and in the future. It is medically
accurate and provides information about abstinence and contraceptives as tools to prevent
unintended pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases. On the other hand, abstinence only sex
educationis a form of sex education that teaches abstinence from sex. This type of sex education
promotes sexual abstinence until marriage and avoids discussion of use of contraceptives.
Comprehensive sex education goes against some family morals and encourages teenagers to have
sex. But abstinence only sex education does not teach students enough about sex or how to protect
themselves from STDs and pregnancy. Comprehensive sex education should be mandatory in all of
our nation s schools.
In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, sex education was strongly effected by Victorian values.
Sex education at that time taught that sexually transmitted diseases were the result of punishment
for immoral behaviors. The discussion over what to teach children about sex in school occurred as
early as 1912. In the 1950 s the

The Pro Life vs Pro Choice Debate
History of Abortion The 1973 court case Roe v. Wade was a landmark decision for United States
history, and it still remains very controversial today. The Court ruled that the right to privacy
applied to a woman s choice to have an abortion, therefore legalizing the action. Abortion is
officially defined as the deliberate termination of a human pregnancy, most often performed during
the first 28 weeks of pregnancy. Today there are two groups continuing this battle, pro life and pro
choice . People who define themselves as pro life believe that abortion is unethical and insist that
the Roe v. Wadedecision be overturned. On the other side of the battle, pro choicers fight to get
even more liberation for women.
Pro choice Argument The main argument of pro choicers is that women should be responsible
for anything involving their own body, because no one else is living her life, and...she will have
to live with [her] decision [to have an abortion] (Pollitt 12). The government isn t affected by a
woman having an abortion, so they shouldn t be involved in the decision. Although they re
pleased that abortion is legal in the United States, present day supporters are still pushing for
modifications to the 1973 Supreme Court ruling: Roe v. Wade was all about privacy, but the most
private parts of a woman s body and the most private decisions she will ever make have never been
more public (Pollitt

43. Age-Related Diversity Issues at the Workplace
Workplace Diversity Issues Age Related Introduction Study #1 Older people are not retiring as
the traditional age of 65 as they once did. According to a research paper published by the U.S.
Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) between 1977 and 2007, the number of employed workers
over the age of 65 ...increased 101 percent (BLS). For men 65 or older still at work, the increase
(between 1977 and 2007) reflects a 75% rise; as for women, the number of those 65 and older
rose by an impressives147 percent in that time frame (BLS). The number of people 75 years of
age and older that are employed is relative small (0.8 percent of the American workforce) and yet
this age group experienced the most dramatic gain during the period 1977 to 2007 a startling 172
percent (BLS). This study used data collected by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, which gathers
statistical data from the consumer price index, the Current Population Survey, and employment
surveys to present a clear picture of age in the workplace. The data analysis techniques are not
known, nor are the collection strategies that the federal government uses. Theoretically this
information is presented as raw data drawn from a number of sources with no editorial agenda. It
is interesting to note that in that same window of time the number of non institutionalized
Americans 65 and older rose by about 60 percent but the number of those 65 and over who were in
the workforce doubled while employment for everyone 16 and over

44. Bhopal, India Chemical Accident, 1984
Just after midnight on December 3, 1984, a pesticide plant in Bhopal, India had a chemical leak
accident. The chemical that was released into the air is called methyl isocyanate, or MIC, used to
make pesticides. This chemical is tremendously harmful and fatal to humans, livestock, and crops.
Only a short term exposure may cause death or unfavorable health effects. The slums of Bhopal
and its residents that surrounded the plant which were mostly affected by the gas suffered dearly.
An estimated 8,000 people dead and about 300,000 more suffering from its effects. Bloated
carcasses of cattle dotted the streets. Tree and plant leaves were yellow and brittle. Corpses littered
the streets and discovered behind locked doors, trapped in private... Show more content on

The overwhelming population in Bhopal means very few jobs that are out there for the public.
В…Even a meager, low paying job is welcomed as a way to avoid abject poverty (15). The
bottom class of society, workers and job seekers take any job they can find if they are fortunate.
If they are lucky, they will be found in such places as small industries around the city like the
glue factory, the bone mills, the tannery center, the distillery, the slaughterhouse, and the straw
products factory. Otherwise, these people work as sidewalk vendors who shine shoes, give
haircuts or clean ears (15). They can also find jobs as street cleaners or in communal sewing
centers. In addition to these unofficial social classes, Hindus in Bhopal and throughout India
adhere to a rigid caste system that further separates people into classes (15). It is very hard to
change caste to a higher standard of living and converse with a higher class. But if some
individuals have the desire to change caste, they can through immense effort, talent, and luck;
В…one may change caste by gaining prominence in a certain occupation (17). The caste system
offers little flexibility in village life, politics, and in marriage. Religion also plays a part in this
caste; only Hindus can have caste. In the midst of the poverty and chaos in Bhopal, Union carbide
opened its chemical plant in 1969 (17). The plant is located at the city limits

There are many different types of arguments for the existence of God. With each argument there is
a conception presented of God. For each argument there are different approaches. I will be focusing
on the Cosmological and Teleological Arguments. Teleological
Arguments are known to be arguments from divine, arguing from order in the universe to the
existence of God (1).With the ordering of the universe, created by an intelligent being, they hold
that it is ordered towards a purpose or an end. The Cosmological Argument is the argument that the
existence of the world or universe is strong evidence for the existence of a God who ... Show more

The atheist holds that there is severe contradiction between claiming God is good, yet evil exists.
Mackie, an atheist, says
...the contradiction does not arise immediately; to show it we need some additional
premises...these additional principles are that good is opposed to evil, in such a way that a good
thing always eliminates evil as far as it can, and that there are no limits to what an omnipotent thing
can do. From these it follows that a good omnipotent thing eliminates evil completely, and then the
propositions that a good omnipotent thing exists, and that evil exists, are incompatible (8). There
exists two kinds of evil. There is human evil, and natural evil in which atheist claim are both forms
of needless suffering. The logical problem of evil claims the
tension between simultaneously having evil in the world, while also having a perfect God. This
would without a doubt be a logical contradiction according to the atheist. There is also the
evidential problem of evil. With this claim, there is not contradiction, but the fact that evil exists,
if give grounding evidence for being able to reject that God is all powerful. It is a weaker version
of the former, and claims that it is highly unlikely that an all perfect God exists. Plantinga responds
with trying to defend that it is reasonable to believe in God, even without evidence.
