A Simple Essay
Writing an essay on the seemingly straightforward topic of "A Simple Essay" might initially
appear to be an uncomplicated task. After all, the subject suggests simplicity, implying a lack of
complexity or intricacy. However, the apparent simplicity of the topic can be deceptive, as it
opens the door to a myriad of challenges that one may not anticipate.
Firstly, defining what constitutes a "simple essay" can be a perplexing endeavor in itself. Is it an
essay with a basic structure, devoid of intricate arguments and complex ideas, or does it refer to
an essay that delves into the simplicity found within complex concepts? The ambiguity
surrounding the interpretation of the topic adds an element of uncertainty to the writing process.
Furthermore, attempting to maintain simplicity while avoiding banality poses a unique challenge.
Striking the right balance between clarity and depth is a delicate task, requiring a nuanced
approach to language and structure. The risk of oversimplifying or overcomplicating the content
looms large, making it difficult to achieve the desired equilibrium.
Crafting an engaging introduction and a compelling conclusion without veering into clichГ©s
can be another hurdle. Striving for originality within the constraints of simplicity demands a
creative mindset, as finding a fresh perspective on a seemingly basic theme may prove to be
more challenging than expected.
Moreover, the challenge lies not only in presenting ideas clearly but also in sustaining the reader's
interest throughout the essay. A simple topic may lack inherent excitement, requiring the writer to
inject creativity and passion into their writing to captivate the audience.
In conclusion, the task of writing an essay on the topic of "A Simple Essay" is surprisingly
intricate. It involves navigating the fine line between simplicity and complexity, avoiding
clichГ©s, and maintaining reader engagement. While the subject may seem straightforward at
first glance, the journey of exploring its depth and breadth can be both intellectually stimulating
and demanding.
If you find yourself struggling with similar essay topics or if you're pressed for time, consider

The Unethical Behavior of the 3rd Brigade, 101st Airborne...
3rd Brigade, 101st Airborne Division must face reality. The kill company scandal has
seriously damaged the image of the US Army, which in turn has challenged the trust
the Nation places in its armed forces. More concretely, these events highlighted the
need for strengthening the Rakkasans ethics standards. Soldiers are not warriors; they
are ethical warriors, whose identity relies on two inseparable pillars: ethics principles
and operational efficiency. The Army core values reflect this ethical identity and the
duties that come with it. Understanding that warriors need solid ethical references,
the Brigade will demonstrate commitment to the Army values, invest in ethics
education, and engage leadership. Warrior ethos without military... Show more

American soldiers are ethical warriors. Military ethics and warrior ethos constitute
the two fundaments of the Army s Code of Honor. One cannot be separated from the
other. This obligation has applied for ages to those who held power: science without
conscience is but the ruin of the soul, as wrote Rabelais in the early seventeenth
century. More than ever, soldiers need ethic references to guide their actions and
prevail, especially in a Counter insurgency environment where excessive use of force
jeopardizes mission accomplishment. Whatever the situation might be, soldiers must
be able to use their science of war with restraint, discernment, and ethics. Recent bad
experiences proved that the Army should advocate this ethical military obligation
with humility and determination. The Brigade will advocate its commitment to the
Army s core values by focusing on Honor, Personal Courage, and Duty because these
three values summarize what an ethical warrior must be. The other Army s values
remain important but focusing on three will bring clarity and simplicity. Honor is a
code of personal integrity. This code ties the Army to the Nation. It is of course the
soldiers honor to risk their lives to defend the nation. But it is also their honor to fight
in accordance with American values. The US Army s ethical warriors fight their
enemies with determination, but respect. Acts of crime, misconduct, and ethical
breaches
Canada Political Parties
My Opinion On Voting Canadian political parties
The NDP in my opinion, is the best party to vote for. I know, New Democrats know,
that is is possible to grow our economy while protecting our environment, (Tom
Mulcair speech at iVote May 2015.) The following reasons why I support the New
Democratic Party are. Their belief of not leaving anyone behind, the way they plan to
grow the economy and how they will help preserve the environment.
Firstly, The NDP s main goal, To build a better Canada
, where no one is left behind.
Meaning they will support the less fortunate Canadians and help elevate them into a
better social class. They will support the lower class by taxing the richer population,
closing the income gap. This approach I suspect ... Show more content on

The NDP will re prioritize the goals Canada has and treat global warming seriously,
facing it now rather than ignoring and letting it spiral out of control in the future.
The NDP will combat this by investing in the production of clean tech. By 2020, the
global market for Cleantech is estimated to be over 3 trillion. Another plan the
NDP have is to ensure the construction of future national parks, protecting the
ecosystems and create new jobs at the same time. They want to increase the
amount of emissions tax corporations pay as well as decrease the limit they already
have. This is a tremendous way to help boost the economy and protect the

such a great place to live... the Environment; that we took for granted for the last
decade exploiting and exhausting the natural resources we are fortunate to have in
Canada. The NDP will re prioritize the goals Canada has and treat global warming

The Employees of the Store
Employees are people who will manage all aspects of the database. In most
databases, they are identified with as much information as possible. To keep our
implication simple, we will need the name and the title of each employee. To
uniquely identity an employee, each one will have an employee number. This
number will be specified but the person who is creating the record for a new hire.

Teaching Hel Is The Variation Of Language And Give
Voice...
Our approach to teaching HEL is to embrace the variation of language and give voice
to ordinary people speaking these variants. While we must rely on textual
documentation for most historical samples, we do have recordings of older speakers
in American English that continue to exhibit some of the same dialectfeatures found
in early Englishes. These voices are found in the interview data collected for the
Dictionary of American Regional English, a six volume dictionary of regional
American English variation (DARE, 1985 2012). As we near the end of our HEL
course, we present an overview of the settlement patterns that have most influenced
American regional dialects. Throughout these lectures, we play recordings from
DARE speakers as evidence of dialect features that retain links to British and other
historical English dialects. Past courses we have taught revealed that standard
American English speaking students are often dubious of language features or words
that they have never heard before. To counter these views, we engage students in
several linguistic sleuthing activities that allow them to become linguistic researchers
as they must use DARE evidence to trace dialect features and word etymologies,
thereby enriching students experiences learning the history of English. To illustrate,
we present three such activities.
The first activity is a group project in which a small cohort of students are given an
audio clip that illustrates a feature such as a prefixing, want plus
The Impact Of Television And Video On Student
Achievement
The Impact of Television Video Entertainment on Student Achievement in Reading
and Writing.
By Ron Kaufman
Educational television should be absolutely forbidden. It can only lead to
unreasonable disappointment when your child discovers that the letters of the
alphabet do not leap up and dance around with royal blue chickens.
Fran Lebowitz, Metropolitan Life, 1978
The term cyberspace was coined by writer William Gibson in his book Neuromancer.
Published in 1984, Neuromancer was one of the first cyberpunk novels that involved
a virtual world alongside the real one. The novels of Gibson, Neal Stephenson and
other cyberpunk authors tell stories of a not so distant future where video screens,
computers and other media channels ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The children of this new millennium will be barraged with more electronic media
than ever in history. The nature of a child s curiosity will naturally drawn him or her
to a video game or interactive television. The other influence is that cable operators,
television networks and video game publishers target children (and their parents) as
part of the consumer base. Children will not be able to escape electronic media and
in the future may be drawn more and more toward it.
Though the new media saturated world may be wonderful in many ways, what
suffers may be traditional educational practices. If children spend their time
watching TV and playing video games they are not spending a great deal of time
reading and writing. Statistics collected by the U.S. Department of Education s
National Center for Educational Statistics (NCES) show that student achievement
in both reading and writing has been declining in recent years. The NCES 1998
Writing Report Card states that 16 percent of 4th and 8th graders and 22 percent of
12th graders have not mastered basic writing skills (March, 1999). The NCES 1998
Reading Report Card shows that across grades 4, 8, and 12, no more than 40 percent
achieved the proficient level of reading and only 7 percent of 4th graders, 3 percent
of 8th graders, and 6 percent of 12th graders could read at the advanced level.
The average, or typical, American student is not a proficient writer. Instead,
Case Analysis Regulatory Review Commission Essay
Executive Summary
This case deals with the unstable work environment at the RRC Operations office in
particular between Monique Ricard and Brian Coffey. Brian s work habits are poor
and are becoming a detriment to office workflow. Now Monique must decide what to
do with the employee whether to discharge, request a transfer or request a
continuation of his probationary period.
The problems that Monique is facing with Brian include tardy assignments and lack
of discipline in terms of punctuality around the office. He is continually handing in
assignments either right at deadlines or exceeding them. In addition he has had
unexplained prolonged absences in recent time.
The causes from these problems could be stemming from a number of ... Show more

Causes
There is a lack of fit between process/systems. the fact that this office is run through
the government it makes it hard for employees to be discharged involuntarily.
Government jobs usually bring with them a more stable environment and due to this
discharging an employee in this department becomes extremely frustrating. Brian s
last supervisor noted the drawbacks in his workmanship but only voiced these
concerns in person. No formal written complaints were ever filed, instead he was
merely passed along to another department. Also a policy stating that when no more
work is required, everything will be done to get them another job of comparable skill
when instead they could simply offload these workers.
There is a lack of fit between structure. After reviewing the RRC staff organization
chart it can be seen that they are understaffed. When three out of the eight positions
available are currently vacant a problem may arise. Monique may think she is giving
Brian sufficient time for his assignment but these allotted times are most likely done
in figures where the office is fully staffed. Brian may be taking longer than apparently
needed due to the lack of additional coworkers in the office.
There is a lack of fit between processes. Brian is a young man and seems not sure
yet about his life plans evidenced by the scattering
Cabana Boys Concert Report
On November 18, I attended the Cabana Boys concert presented by the Music
Department at Fullerton College. The band itself was made up of Fullerton College
students, and the concert was directed by Dr.Gregory Woll. Generally speaking, The
Cabana Boys are a high energy group performing contemporary musicincluding latin,
rock, fusion and pop (department). The band consisted of these eight members and
instruments: Jonny White, Trumpet; Jack Sneddon, Trombone; Oscar Soriano, Sax;
Blake Rambo, Bass; Gabe Barraza, Guitar; Nico Vasquez, Drum set; Juan Garcia,
Percussion and Gio Thomson, vocalist.
On the whole, this concert was a new but pleasant experience for me, because it
was my first time attending a school jazz concert. For the most part, there was
consonance in all of the songs played by this band along with a slow, mellow
tempo. The tunes and melodies were repetitive as well as groovy. Notably, the genre
of the majority of the songs was Jazz, and they were mainly songs by Gordon
Goodwin. I thought it was very unique how most of ... Show more content on

Personally, I enjoyed this performance since the song played was a cover from my
favorite band, The Doors. In my opinion, this cover was excellent because the
vocals and instruments were syncopated and merged perfectly together. While this
song played, the background stage lights manifested a psychedelic mood by
spirling in different colors. The Doors was a Psychedelic/Acid Rock band from the
late 1960 s, and therefore it made sense to use those colorful lights to create that
surreal, trippy mood. The beginning of the song starts off by saying, Before you
slept into unconsciousness, I d like to have another kiss./Another flashing chance at
bliss/Another kiss, another kiss. The Cabana Boys were able to represent the LSD
part of the acid rock era with the use of this song; since the lyrics are both poetic and

Waiting for Godot, Act Without Words I much like the name suggests, has no
dialogue, which proposes that verbal communication is either impossible, pointless,
or both. The shrill whistle is the only form of communication in the play, and even
then, it seems to be unclear to the man and not present a clear message to him aside
from one that is startling and unhelpful to him. It only furthers Beckett s idea of
communication is worthless if there is nothing worthwhile to say, that the
translation of meaning between people can be difficult when we all live in our
own realities and our circumstantial existence can warp that meaning when we try
to communicate with others. In the end he is left there alone in his own misery in

Harley Davidson has built itself as a company in such a way that today it is the

not without reason: Their each part is tuned to perfection, to be the best and do the

the only two motorcyclecompanies which was able to survive the Great Depression
in the 1930s but that was not its only test. It has been able to survive through many
a tough times with competition to reach where it has but now, it wouldn t be an
exaggeration to say that Harley Davidson has shaped the motorcycle culture in
USA. In fact it wouldn t even be wrong to say that it has created a culture of its own;

I consulted my trusty 1828 edition of Webster s dictionary for a definition. I use
this one because it was written by Noah Webster himself, and isn t saddled with the
baggage of pagan political correctness. Noah Webster defined torture as: Extreme
pain; anguish of body or mind; pang; agony; torment. Ghastly spasm or racking
torture....Severe pain inflicted judicially, either as a punishment for a crime, or
for the purpose of extorting a confession from an accused person. I put the term
judicially in bold because here s how Noah Webster defined that word: The forms
of legal justice; as a sentence judicially declared. By way of penalty or judgment;
as, to be judicially punished. Fascinating. Here is the man known as the father of
American education, who was also a devout Christian that often used Biblical
language and citations in his dictionary definitions, describing some forms of
torture as legal justice. When the New Testament talks about love your neighbor as
yourself it is talking about how we treat each other as individuals. It is not talking
about civic justice. Otherwise our prisons would be empty since almost everyone in
them claims to be innocent, and who among us wants to be held accountable for our
actions? In fact, that same New Testament also says this about godly government:
For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no
Systems Theory Of Human Service Organizations
Human service organizations are there to meet the needs of people and help to
prevent and solve problems whilst improving or maintaining the quality of life of
people. Human service organizations have a modus of operation so as to deliver its
services to the intended recipients. This modus emanates from the systems theory
which was introduced by biologist Ludwig von Bertalanffy in the 1940s, and gained
importance in the 1960s which permits analysis of the complex nature of human
interactions within a social environment. The systems theory is a way of elaborating
increasingly complex systems across a continuum that encompasses the person in
environment (Anderson, Carter, Lowe, 1999). The systems theory has three social
level systems which... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The closed system model relies on the internal processes of an organization and
depends primarily on the employees commitment to work and the way managers
delegate and supervise employees. The external environment does not influence any
decisions in the organization this promotes homeostatic balance and efficiency. The
open system model, organizations are influenced by the external environment
(technology advancement, political decisions, culture and demographics of the
community) and rely heavily on constant communication between the organization
and external environment to create services for clients. There is more than one way
of obtaining the same result which is known as equifinality.
Bureaucracy is a system that is used by human service organizations as a way to
create the structure of an organization to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of
management and delivery of services. Bureaucracy is a classical theory that was
developed by Max Weber, and focuses on what the managers and employees do to
achieve positive results by the use of five principles. However the system of
bureaucracy affects the application of social service delivery to clients or recipients
of intended services because social services require timely responsiveness to various

The rain fell aslant, coming at their faces so that the top of the carriage did little

Ada learns from Ruby about the nature of the world. You commence by trying to see
what likes what, Ruby said. Which Ada interpreted to mean, Observe and understand
the workings of affinity in nature (138). Slowly Ada learns how to run the farm and

As a heron flies over her head she wonders if the sighting is A blessing? A warning

drawing pictures of the bird and maybe other associated objects. She even says to

What Is The Difference Between TFK And Kidshealth
TFK and KidsHealth.org have found that kids just want to be closer to their
parents. Studies show that kids argue with their parents regularly but usually
discuss in a calm manner What the problem is. It s normal to argue and disagree
but it is also very important to know how to do it respectfully. Kids made it clear
that they would rather avoid conflict altogether. To no surprise two out of three
kids reported lying to their parents to try and get out of trouble or to not disappoint
them. Kids ages 12 14 not only said they lied but said they lied more and feel less
close and are not having fun with their parents nor getting along. Kids feel like their
parents do not understand them and that is why they lie and hide the truth more. Kids
How are the Majority of Celebrities Inappropriate Role...
People look up to celebrities as role models, the youth especially. The youth believes
that if they imitate these cynosures they will become affluent and legendary. Famous
people imply that if the youth act insubordinately they will be successful in life.
Celebrities of today are not appropriate role models for this generation.
A celebrity is a famous or well known person, someone who has fame or is
renowned (dictionary.com). When people think of a celebrity they think of someone
they would see on television, in magazines, or here about on the radio; those are the
celebrities I am referring to here, but those aren t the only celebrities out there. There
are also other interpretations for the word celebrity. My favorite alternative to the
typical thought of a celebrity is the term local celebrity. A local celebrity or
hometown celebrity doesn t have to be rich or world famous, they are known for
doing something that has either impacted the local area or has made his/her
hometown proud. My focus is on the quintessential definition of celebrity, the ones
that are known for their influence on the current generation, my generation.
The current generation is easily influenced because it is completely focused on being
accepted by society and trying to find ones individual identity. The youth of my
generation believe that their identity is based on society s acceptance; not on their
own thoughts, desires, and opinions of themselves. Most celebrities preach about
individuality to

Controversies are brought up arguing if the embryo is human and whether or not
that embryo has legal and moral rights. If the inner cell wall of the mass is removed,
it prevents the fertilized eggs from developing ( The Great Debate Over Stem Cell

the embryo deserves to be protected. Also, there are some cultures that do not
support the use of human life to someone else besides its producer. They also
believe that the embryo only has moral rights as a human only after a few months of

Why The Battle Of The Bulge
The Battle of the Bulge, or Ardennen Offensive was a major German offensive. On
December 16, 1944 towards the end of World War II the battle was the only major
German offensive of the war, launched by Adolf Hitler in order to attempt to reverse
the decrease in his fortunes that had started on D ay. He intended to accomplish this
by trying to split Allied troops through an assault located within the Ardennes Forest
of Belgium, destroying enemy troops located here. He believed would ensure the
allies to form a peace treaty that would favor the Axis Powers. The attack in the
Ardennes Forest did not result in Hitler s predicted outcome. The Ardennes Forest,
was a dense forest with only a few roads that stretched seventy five miles, these roads
were being help by four inexperienced and tired American divisions. Using them
element of surprise the German troops attacked the forest on December 16, 1944.
The American divisions, desperately sought to stop advancing German troops.
Despite their attempts by the end of the day the German stoops had broken through
the American lines, taking over important intersections and had surrounded the
majority of the infantry division. (Battle of the Buldge December 1944) German
troops pushed forward towards the Meuse River and managed to... Show more content

The additional troops as well as the German shortage on fuel assisted the Allies in
halting the German troops. *Battle of the Buldge) By December 25, 1944, the
advance of the Germans had stopped just short of their destination, the Meuse River.
The Third U.S. Army, under command of LT Gen. George S. Patton had been

On December 26, they reached the town of Bastogne, Belgium, which had been under
siege by German troops, and managed to liberate
Why Engineering And Technology ( E T ) Industries Have...
I.Introduction
There has been numerous studies conducted over the previous decades into how and
why engineering and technology (E T) industries have such a low representation of
women. The topic has often reached top academic researchers who try to find the
root cause and hope to blur the gender lines. Studies have shown that the proportion
of women to men in STEM fields is extremely low, despite receiving more help than
their male counterparts. One article states, Among the top 100 US universities, only
8.8 15.8% of tenure track positions in many math intensive fields (combined across
ranks) are held by women, and female full professors number less than 10% (SI
Text, Si). Recent studies have also proven that women represent 16.4% of E T in
2007/2008, which is significantly lower than the average across all subjects
(57.1%). Although there has been positive strides, the ratio plateaus out at an
unacceptable percentage. This is a problem of high importance that should be
studied if society wants to move forward and evolve as a whole. Everyone deserves
an equal opportunity to hold positions in all fields, regardless of gender.
Aspect 1:
The first article titled, Women in Engineering and Tech Have More Help than Males,
aims to evaluate women s experiences of higher education in E T, primarily on the
assistance and support women E T students receive. It also proposes possible
explanations about why this happens, how women experience this behavior and the
potential influences
Criticism Of Diego VelГ zquez s Las Meninas, SebastiГ n
de...
Diego VelГzquez was called the noblest and most commanding man among the
artists of his country. He was a master realist, and no painter has surpassed him in
the ability to seize essential features and fix them on canvas with a few broad, sure
strokes. His men and women seem to breathe, it has been said; his horses are full of
action and his dogs of life. Because of VelГzquez great skill in merging color, light,
space, rhythmof line, and mass in such a way that all have equal value, he was known
as the painters painter, as demonstrated in the paintings Las Meninas, SebastiГ n de
Morra, and Baltasar Carlosand a Dwarf.

The interlocking of these luminous areas is the more vivid as the middle distance
is cut off by the shadows which spread across the floor. The depth of the chamber is
stressed by the alternation of window jambs and picture frames on the right hand
wall, the stretcher of the large canvas on the left foreground, and the perspective
sequence of the empty lamp hooks on the ceiling, which mark as central the spot in
the rear wall where the King and the Queen are seen reflected in the mirror. In no
other painting has VelГzquez rendered space in so architectural a manner as in this,
the only work in which he has depicted a ceiling. Neither is there any other
composition of his that is so vividly keyed to the space lying out of the picture frame.
Recent studies of Las Meninas, inspired by the ideas of Michel Foucault, have paid
considerable attention to the seemingly novel relationship between the scene on the
canvas and the spectator. These ideas tacitly assume that the picture was meant to
be seen by the public at large, as if it were hanging in an important museum, as it is
today. (They also exaggerate the novelty of the way in which the spectator is
involved in the picture.) However, the original placement indicates that this is not the
case. In 1666, the year after the death of Philip IV, Las Meninas was

According to Almaguer, nineteenth century relations between Mexicans and
Anglos in California were powerfully determined by class division within the two
populations, divisions that led to the divergent historical experiences for the
Mexican working class and the ranchero elite (45). The biggest division of class
happened during the Mexican and Spanish periods, Spanish and Mexican
governments issued a total of twenty land grants of 415,959 acre of land and
represented 38.6 percent of the total land area in the [Santa Barbara County] to
families such as Juan Camarillo, Isabel Yorba, Jose Arnaz, Juan Sanchez, and the
de la Guerra brothers who will later become gente de razons, the largest landholders
(Almaguer 76 77). What this 1860s act did, was separate the Mexican class as a
whole, if you were a gente de razon, you were Rancho elite, you were royals of the
town, dominating everything from economics and agriculture to political and
social affairs. If you were not Rancho elite, you were rancheros and farmers with
small land holdings, skilled rancho laborers and foremen, artisans in the Mexican
pueblos , or as they were often referred, mestizos (mixed racial ancestry) and was
typically viewed as middle class by travelers visiting California during the Mexican
period (Almaguer, 48). Now with this vision in mind it is not hard to see how
different of an experience the Spanish had when the Anglos came because of their
already dominant positions in life creating this image of
Managing The Change Management Strategy
Organizational change management is the outline for managing the change
management strategy. It also helps with the corporate processes for structural and
cultural changes of Blue Cross Blue Shield. Change management helps our
organization realize why the change was essential so that we can accept all changes
and goals to move forward. Change in our organization is good for all of the
employees since it will help them gain new skills and competencies and this in fact is
an organizational goal of the company. The first step for our change management
strategy is creating urgency. For this change to occur, the whole establishment
needs to be on board and really wants it. Developing a sense of urgency around the
need for change can trigger the initial motivation to get things moving. Without
motivation, individuals will not help and the efforts for the change will not go
anywhere (Kotter, 1995, p. 60). Managing change across the board if it is not done
correctly can be damaging. The second step is to convince our employees that
change is necessary. This frequently takes strong management and noticeable support
from important people within our organization. Dealing with change is not enough
one will have to lead everyone in this process. Once shaped our change partnership
or coalition needs to work together as team and continue to build urgency round the
need for change. Our goal is to be successful. It requires that our organization gets all
of the knowledge it can so
Descriptive Essay On A Bag
For most college students, carrying some form of bag is a necessity. Depending on
the person, they might carry a backpack, purse, messenger bag, tote, or something
else. Bags are sometimes a way to express yourself, and sometimes appearance doesn
t matter rather the functionality of it. Many people chose their bag of choice based
on these ideas.
For myself, my choice of bag was due to convenience and I ll explain. The backpack I
use currently, I have had since my sophomore year of high school. It is a grey
JanSport backpack, that has one large pocket and one small pocket. It has a giant
hole in the side from years of use and to put it nicely I am to frugal to buy a new
one. Until, the straps breakoff I will probably continue to use it. In high school I
chose this backpack based on appearance (Grey, which is my favorite color) and the
popularity of the brand. Today, I don t care much about the appearance, as many
could gather from the giant hole. I use it because I have it and its still functional.
Laptop: My laptop is a necessity for me and that is why I always carry it in my
backpack. I m often on campus most of the day and I use the laptop to work on
assignments, quizzes, watch Netflix between classes, or browse the internet.

affiliate marketing with any unrealistic expectations.
How Can I Make Money From Home With Affiliate Marketing It really is Quick and
Basic
In the event you break it down, affiliate marketing indicates absolutely nothing more
than selling somebody else s product, service or business opportunity for profit.
Your job would be to basically promote the product and make a sale. This can be
normally completed by means of setting up a website or perhaps a blog and posting
different reviews, tutorials, videos along with other content that delivers value to
those probably to become customers considering and understanding much more
regarding the products you re providing.
Among the list of the fastest, easiest techniques to acquire would be to go setup a
free WordPress blog. There is no expense and you can possess a nice blog setup and
prepared to start promoting within minutes. Later you may wish to consider finding
a domain name and hosting a blog yourself as this puts you in total control of all of
the content you produce and what you ll do with it.
What most prime affiliates will advocate is when starting out you select a subject
that you know a good deal about. If you have a hobby, that s an excellent place to
start.
It is possible to write articles about your hobby and portion of the study will be to
discover products that you simply can sell associated to your main subject.

Discovering Mortality in Once More to the Lake Essay
Discovering Mortality in Once More to the Lake
E. B. White s story Once More to the Lake is about a man who revisits a lake from
his childhood to discover that his life has lost placidity. The man remembers his
childhood as he remembers the lake; peaceful and still. Spending time at the lake as
an adult has made the man realize that his life has become unsettling and restless,
like the tides of the ocean. Having brought his son to this place of the past with him,
the man makes inevitable comparisons between his own son and his childhood self,
and between himself as an adult and the way he remembers his father from his
childhood perspective. The man s experience at the lake with his son is the moment

I would be in the middle of some simple act, I would be picking up a bait box or
laying down a table fork, or I would be saying something and suddenly it would be
not I but my father who was saying the words or making the gesture (White 151).
When the man lay in bed early one morning, he heard his son sneak out to take a
canoe out on the lake, just as he used to do when he was a child. By living a dual
existence the man could see from two perspectives; his son sneaking out early in the
morning, his father lying in bed listening to his son sneak out. I began to sustain the
illusion that he was I, and therefore, by simple transposition, that I was my father
(White 151). The man s alternate ways of viewing these events convinced him that he
was becoming his father.
This thought eventually leads to the man s realization that he will die someday, just
as his father did. A thunderstorm came over the lake one day when the man was a
child. He remembered swimming in the lake just after the storm passed, but while
rain was still coming down. Just like the scene from his childhood, another
thunderstorm came over the lake, only instead of swimming in the lake with the
others, the man merely watched his son put on his bathing suit.
I watched him, his hard little body, skinny and bare, saw him wince slightly
Divine Intervention By Elia Suleiman
Palestinian identity has lasted the test of time through exile, diaspora, and attempts at
cultural white washing. It is through these situations that Palestine has created a
unique sense of identity, unlike many nation states. The Palestinian identity has come
to transcend borders, nationality, and mediums. It is not only represented in politics
and protest, but in personal expression and the arts. This paper argues that both
national identity and cultural productions of Palestine represent the diaspora through
noticeable adaptation based on location and support the idea that Palestinian identity
isn t singularly definable. The first piece of evidence that I will analyze is the movie

One particularly interesting perspective is his opinion on how the conflict has
somewhat freed the identity of Palestinians from a shared land, and that for some
Palestinians that can escape the occupation, there is a the creation of a transnational,
transgressive life. (Suleiman, 2003, 73) Thus exists multiple outcomes from one
identity. He further supports this by commenting that Palestine does not have
borders, does not actually exist in the sense of geography, but it still has a sense of
space. The Palestinian people are this space, and the people are how we define what
is, and what is not Palestine. People are separated geographically, but defined by
identity and community, and this creates a unique sense of freedom outside of a
defined nation state. (Suleiman, 2000, 96) This lets the definition of this identity be
more fluid. He says that in his work he purposefully moves away from a centralized
view of Palestinian identity and uses cinema to present the differences in viewpoint,
perception, and narration that exist within this conflict. Not only between Israelis and
Palestinian s but between all Palestinian s. (Suleiman, 2000, 97) He purposefully
moves away from a singular form of Palestinian identity and states My films are
Palestinian because I am Palestinian. (Suleiman, 2000, 99) This movement from a

periodontal diseases are prevalent human diseases defined by the signs and symptoms
of gingival inflammation and/or periodontal tissue destruction. These diseases are
conventionally diagnosed by clinical evaluation of the signs of inflammation in the

inflammation and tissue destruction periodontitis). A clinical diagnosis of
periodontitis ismade by measuring the loss of connective tissue attachment to the root

They provide constant probing force, computer storage of data, and precise electronic
management of the resulting inflammation. However, clinical evaluations of these
systems have reported only slightly improved reproducibility when compared with
conventional probing, although not clinically significant. Other electronic probing
systems have been reported in the literature, although they have never been released
for general use. One of these systems is the electronic probe described by Jeffcoat et
a1 39,40 (the Foster Miller probe), capable of coupling pocket depth measurement
with the detection of the cemento enamel junction from which the clinical attachment
level is automatically detected Researchers at the University of Toronto have also
described a probe the Toronto Automated probe that like the Florida probe, uses the
occlusal incisal surface to measure relative clinical attachment levels. The sulcus is
probed with a 0.5 mm nickel titanium wire that is extended under air pressure. It
controls angular discrepancies by means of a mercury tilt sensor that limits angulation
within В±30 degrees, but it requires reproducible positioning of the patient s head and
cannot easily measure second or third molars The measurement of clinical attachment
levels has traditionally been used in the diagnosis of periodontitis however, this
measurement only reflects the history of past disease and does not assess current or
future disease activity. The most practical method of determining that disease is
progressing (active) is the demonstration that significant loss of attachment has
occurred over time. To detect progression of periodontal disease over a short perio
Literary Conventions In Beowulf
The epic is a literary genre that typically begins its narratives in media res. The use
of this poetic convention in classical literature is not arbitrary, to say the least. Its
use is repeated due to its great efficacy as a technique, its presence emphasizing
characters feats over what could be considered pedantic plot points in the context of
the epic s objective. If this literary convention is so effective, then, what does it mean
when poets specifically choose not to use it? Though much isn t known about
Beowulfs anonymous author, their specific decision to begin their story, not with
their title character s life, but with another character s lifespan altogether, is a
narrative choice that ultimately colors the audience s perception of... Show more

As a result, one can assume that Beowulf s decreased strength with age has been
recognized on some level. His understanding that he requires aid in battle is a
recognition that his prowess as a hero has diminished over time. For this reason,
his ability to barely [escape] alive will soon vanish entirely as he loses more and
more of his strength to age. Thus, Beowulf s ability to act as a protector of his
people is waning as well. What makes a cycle of heroism vital in this specific
social environment, then, is the plain fact that, while Beowulf s physical strength is
clearly faltering, his status as a triumphant hero is not, potentially forcing him to
remain in power as an ineffective leader (2352). In fact, in comparing Beowulf to
the dragon, the Beowulf poet may be alluding to the possibility of Beowulf s
corruption as a leader. The poet blatantly places Beowulf and the dragon on the same
plane, stating that the two are coming close to the end of their lives. Then, curiously
enough, the poet writes that the dragon had held for so long his hoarded wealth,
insinuating that the dragon s longevity in his position inspired a corruption of sorts
(2344). As Beowulf had just been compared to the dragon

an element with the most allotropes, next to sulfur. The allotropes greatly differ in
structure but are all widely used in modern production. Graphite, diamond and

The term graphene should be used only when the reactions, structural relations or

of the leading researched materials in electronics it was found that large area
graphene does not have as many useful properties as graphene nanoribbons. The
nanoribbons are graphene that has a finite width.
Background:
The discovery of graphene was given credit to the director of the center for
Mesoscience and Nanotechnology at the University of Manchester, Andre Geim
and his colleague Kostya Novoselev. The paper was published in October 2004 in
Science Magazine. The title of the paper was Electric field effect in atomically

physics. Around the time of the discovery, carbon nanotubes was an interesting
area of research. Geim was also interested in carbon nanotubes but had an idea
about using them in an unfolded configuration. With the idea for the unfolded
nanotubes he took a graphite block and polished it. After the block was polished
Scotch tape was used to peel the top layer away. After pulling away the tape only
flakes of graphite were left on the tape. The process was repeated applying more tape

Technical Writing And Creative Writing
Many people are unaware that there are many different types of writing. Writing is
used in a wide variety of different subjects. Some people think that left part of the
brain is used for technical writing and the right side is used for creative writing
(Patel). Technical writing is used in the fields of science, engineering, technology and
the health sciences (Nordquist). Creative writingis used in novels, poems, epics, short
stories, screenplays, songs, television scripts, etc. (YourDictionary). Although they
have some minor similarities, the differences between Technical writingand Creative
writingare clear.
Technical Writing Background Technical writing is used in the professional world
and is always non fiction. It helps to provide clear communication so that the contents
are completely understood. Technical writing helps to put your ideas out on the table
so that they may be considered. The only way that you can get patents is by providing
exactly what your invention does, so you must be able to communicate clearly so you
can receive a patent. The Society for Technical Communication (STC) offers this
definition of technical writing: the process of gathering information from experts and
presenting it to an audience in a clear, easily understandable form. (Nordquist). The
biggest difference between technical communication and the other kinds of writing
you have done is that technical communication has a somewhat different focus on
audience and purpose.

called Indigenous Religions are based on nature, and the earth. The practice of these
religions is considered sacred to the people that follow them. Many of these
indigenous people are fully sacrificed to their religion. They live their lives according
to these religions and are fully indebted to them. The four major Indigenous Religions
are Shinto, found in Japan, the Australian Aboriginal, African, and Native American.
The Native American Religion is based off of nature. Many Native Americans
believe in a Great Spirit who powers all aspects of life. This spirit, they believe,
makes its presence known through nature; plants and animals. Performing various
rituals, ceremonies, and prayers, the Native American people focus most of their
worship on important points of the agricultural and hunting seasons. Many of their
prayers are offered in song and dance form (Spielvogel) . One very well known
ceremony of the Native American people is the Sun Dance. The Sun Dance is
practiced by many tribes, even today, as a prayer for life. It is much like the Native
American s Thanksgiving. Many people may dance to pray for a relative or friend,
or to determine their place in the world, but it is their

Organization Strategy and Human Resources
An organizational strategy is the creation, implementation and evaluation of decisions
within an organization that enables it to achieve its long term objectives.

2) What new skills and capabilities will be needed and what changes in the
procedures relating there too will be required.

learning means growth through learning events and experiences for individual

Modern Day America Essay
Knowledge on how to make a better tomorrow while being an everyday American
in America. Is something we all want to know how to do. Little do we know it all
begins with history. Knowing your facts knowing what happened in the past can
help better our future. So, studying and learning about American history makes a
big impact on society. It s a source we can consider getting an understanding of
human interaction and how everything came to be the way it is today. So, it is left
to us to share our history on to the next generation and so forth. This responsibility
is not just story telling but it s a chance for us to tell our experiences to the best of
our ability. From viewing Howard Zinn s chapter one its explains the history of

How America came to be America was not all sugar and spice. They brutally took
over North America and forced the Natives off the land. No one is really exposed
to the truth about how North America came to be. The school board fails to allow
it in the school systems. Which I don t think is fair the kids should know once it
becomes appropriate for them to understand. Then leads me to say whether it s one
of us sharing our history on the world. We should begin telling our history to our
kids beginning with a part in life where we understood life. The social and political
part of history is something relevant to the next generations. What is relevant
would be based on the story teller. So, it s yet again left for us to share on our own.
It s a task that you must take into your hands and hope that you are giving enough
information. You can always add on to the story if once you re telling it you leave
out information you may have forgot when you remember you speak. It s good for

Mike Byster Research Paper
Who Is Mike Byster, Creator of Brainetics? Who is Mike Byster? He is a 56 year
old, American, human calculator, mathematician, math educator and the creator
of Brainetics. Mike discovered his talent with math at an early age. After receiving
a proper education, he worked as a stockbroker until he quit the position. Then, he
decided to devote his life to improving children s math and memory skills through
his own unique methods. Today, he still passes on his skills to others in an attempt
to improve their learning abilities. His methods allow him to perform math
calculations in his head quicker than most other people. Years ago after research
sessions, experts did proclaim him one of the fastest mathematicians on Earth.
Early Years Mike grew up with his parents, Gloria and David Byster along with an
older sister in Skokie, Illinois. His parents knew that Mike had a special skill with
math at an early age and encouraged him to explore it. He discovered certain
patterns in things even as young as about 4 years old when he first memorized the
presidents of the USA. Mike learned to apply this same memorization skills to his
math studies. Education, Employment and Personal Life... Show more content on

Di Leo s Essay In Praise Of Tough Criticism
Criticism can come in many forms and Di Leo argues in his article, In Praise of
Tough Criticism, that tough criticism is superior, and should be preferred to the
alternatives. His thesis statement can be summed up as this: While most
professors in the academic community find harsh criticism distasteful, compassion
doesn t do the authors justice in rewarding truly superior work, and if criticism isn
t critical there shouldn t be any criticism at all. This thesis gives an overall preview
into what the article is about but it doesn t capture his main points or add any
illumination for the reader. If I were to restructure his thesis it would could be
summed up as: While most scholars view harsh criticism as a form of jealousy and
envy towards the authors, the alternatives to harsh criticism are far worse, and we
should desire to receive honest, direct opinions from critics. This would enable us to
separate truly superior work from mediocrity, while simultaneously raising the quality
of writingthroughout the world. I find that this type of thesis really would capture Di
Leo s main arguments, as well as add illumination for the... Show more content on

Tactics such as faint praise and anonymity are used so advocates against harsh
criticism can avoid praising mediocrity, while not giving in to the temptation of
harsh criticism. He says that scholars would prefer these methods because it allows
them to be critical without the consequences of being seen as jealous or envious.
Along with this, he believes that anonymous harsh reviews done by advocates
against harsh criticism is hypocritical and that is just a form of cowardice. The fact
that my thesis would mention the alternatives would improve Di Leo s thesis
because it is capturing his argument in a more precise way that critics fearful of
being seen as jealous or envious by critiquing harshly should consider that the
alternatives are far
The Doctor Won T See You Now Summary
In the article The Doctor Won t See You Now by James Gorman, the author achieves
his purpose of ridiculing the unethical functions of doctors during the aids epidemic
by utilizing sarcastic language, negatively connotated diction, and vague supplication
of details in his arguments. For example, after Gorman depicts the prevalence of
doctors preferences of not treating certain patients, he makes the remark Smart
thinking . This sarcastic remark, similar to others within the text, is used in order to
exhibit the author s obvious feeling of anger toward physicians who act
unprofessionally. Furthermore, his selection of vocabulary, such as slob , stupid , and
pig like, forms offensive generalizations of people intended to demonstrate how
Cognitive Behavioural Theory Of Cognitive Behavioral
Therapy
Cognitive behavioural therapy is a major area of interest within the field of
counselling. The cognitive behavioural approach has made significant
contributions towards counselling over the years. As a result of this the cognitive
behavioural approach has become more widely practiced (Dobson and Dobson,
2009). Despite these contributions, cognitive behavioural therapy has experienced a
few limited cons as well as effective pros. In spite of this, previous studies have
provided evidence, which confirms the effectiveness of the cognitive behavioural
approach, to be higher than any other approach (McLeod, 2013). This essay, will
examine and critically discuss the various pros and cons that exist within the
cognitive behavioural approach. The objective of this essay is to, demonstrate an in
depth exploration of the cognitive behavioural approach to the treatment of anxiety.
The essay will be organised in the following way. The first section will give a brief
overview of the cognitive behavioural approach. The next sections will then go on to
critically discuss and compare the limited and ineffective contributions to the
effective contributions cognitive behavioural therapy has made towards counselling
anxiety. With particular reference to how cognitive behavioural therapy for women

abbreviation CBT will be used, as it represents Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.

McGraw went on to open his own psychological practice with his father after

Self esteem and self concept may not be synonymous on the surface, but after
looking over their meanings, they appear interconnected. Just as self esteem
becomes impacted by personal surroundings and environments, McGraw posits that
one s self is, like a chameleon, takes[ing] on the emotional colors of history and
environment in which is has existed (McGraw, 63). A person s family, parents, and
other negative life experiences shapes self esteem impacts self and self esteem.
Throughout class discussions, the idea rose that even with environmental factors
shaping self perception or self esteem, these emotions or feelings do not have to
impact a person s future. McGraw in his first chapter appears to be leading a reader
down the same path to reach the realization that distorted self concepts do not have to

21th century it is converted into Alpha, Betas and C++.
The fast spread of computers in today s general public has purchased forward the
interest for more individuals to assemble, compose programs for, and repair them.
Computer designers are responsible for building while computer analysts have

Persuasive Barack Obama
We have had many presidents throughout the time span of the United States. Some
good, some bad it takes a lot to be a good president. It takes passion, dedication, and
you have to be able to sway the people in your direction. Very few have
accomplished this task. Barack Obama is in my opinion the best president to have
touched down at the White House. Obama was able to get people of all ages,
genders, and races to vote for him and support him. He won the states of Florida
and Texas both times in his back to back election years. Obama was liked by many
people from all around he had foreign presidents, and politicians they all wanted to
meet with him face to face. Obama also had a lot of passion when it came to taking

Taking Any Initiative Or Preventative Measures
2.It s been said and heard in many forms. You need to love yourself and be yourself
one hundred percent before you can actually love someone else. If you have the
ability to love, love yourself first. The most terrifying thing is to accept oneself
completely. And now, if you want to win the Public Victory, you must win the Private
Victory first. To define a Private Victory one must define the habits that make up a
Private Victory which would be first, the habitof being proactive. To define proactive
it s best to evaluate it in reference to its opposite re active. Re active means to react to
a situation as it occurs, without taking any initiativeor preventative measures.
Proactive therefore means the opposite of the definition of re active making
proactive the action of taking any initiative or preventative measures. As a UCSB
undergraduate, I can confidently say that I have been very proactive in my first
year. Since I ve become a part of the Gaucho family I have taken the initiative to go
through formal recruitment to then join a sorority. I took the initiative to apply for
the Leadership Training Course through UCSB Adventure Programs and even more
so, I made the choice to then continue to pursue and attend all trainings after I was
waitlist taking all the measures necessary for me to eventually become an official
participant. I am thankful to my old self for taking the initiative to do so because
since I decided to continue to pursue the program it led me to become a
Comparing A Letter Home And Waiting For Dan
In the two passages A Letter Home and Waiting for Dan, protesters stand up for what
they believe in and make it known. There have been many occasions on this world
where unjust events caused protests to occur. In A Letter Home, Kara writes to her
parents about the angry students protesting at Kent State Universitybecause of the
Vietnam War. In Waiting for Dan, activists fought for equal rights for all races by
participating in the Freedom Ride. Between these texts, there are multiple similarities,
as well as differences.
To start off, one similarity the protesters had were that they both were letting the
government know that they were against the current events of their time. In Kara s
letter to her parents she writes, Many students ... Show more content on

. . Before he left, he justified his decision by saying the Freedom Ride would bring
the race issue to the forefront of American politics. In this particular example, the
reader learns that although the government had laws to say that segregation was
illegal, it was still practiced in Southern states. As a result, protesters had to express
themselves to the government. Another similarity between the protesters in the texts
is that they were both standing up for peace. During the Civil Rights Movement,
African Americans were violently treated inferior. Their petitions and rallies
struggled to stop the brutality so the environment would be more peaceful. In
Waiting for Dan, the text states, A group of African Americans and whites would
board buses and ride through the Southern states. Inside the bus, the whites would
sit in the back of the bus and the blacks would sit in the front. In this case, the
Freedom Ride represented the opposite end of segregation; where everyone was
equal. While these activists were protesting to end brutality towards blacks, students
at Kara s University stood up to stop the Vietnam War. Many college scholars were
angry because the U.S.
Bbc 3 s Online Move
I am going to talk about the newspaper article The guardian about BBC Three s
online move, which is approached by the BBC Trust in a move to save the company
ВЈ30m a year. They will expend money on documentaries such as Life and Death
Row and long form comedy shows like Bad Education and Cuckoo, instead of
lighter formats such as Snog, Marry and Avoid. However, this will have an effect on
the audience because they will lose BBCviewers. My research shows that BBC Three
is currently watched by 11.2 million people every week and it reaches 25% of 16 24
year olds.
Moreover, it is currently the only BBC channel watched by 925,000 people in that
age group and 80% of which are expected to be lost to the BBC with the closure.
This suggests that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Therefore, they would go online to watch the videos and there less number of
audiences watching television than they used to. Especially, if they are behind in
watching a soap opera, they might catch up in their free time. However, most soap is
always online and people can watch when they want instead of waiting a certain time,
which isn t helpful for them.
Overall, this has a knock on effect on the number of people watching TV on BBC.
Especially, because they rely on the number of views and not the advertising.
Therefore, it suggests that due to the fast changing pace of ICT. This has meant that
companies should rely on adverts as well put things online to have a higher number
of audience.
However, the closure of the channel will save about ВЈ30m a year and would save
money budget for BBC1. This means that more viewers will switch to watching
BBC 1 relying better production or would use the internet. This is because teenagers
these days rely on downloading apps and watching BBC I player. Therefore, BBC
are trying to put better content online to ensure they have high views. According to
my research BBC believe it will allow them to innovate with new ideas and new
forms of content for younger

A Simple Essay.pdf

  • 1. A Simple Essay Writing an essay on the seemingly straightforward topic of "A Simple Essay" might initially appear to be an uncomplicated task. After all, the subject suggests simplicity, implying a lack of complexity or intricacy. However, the apparent simplicity of the topic can be deceptive, as it opens the door to a myriad of challenges that one may not anticipate. Firstly, defining what constitutes a "simple essay" can be a perplexing endeavor in itself. Is it an essay with a basic structure, devoid of intricate arguments and complex ideas, or does it refer to an essay that delves into the simplicity found within complex concepts? The ambiguity surrounding the interpretation of the topic adds an element of uncertainty to the writing process. Furthermore, attempting to maintain simplicity while avoiding banality poses a unique challenge. Striking the right balance between clarity and depth is a delicate task, requiring a nuanced approach to language and structure. The risk of oversimplifying or overcomplicating the content looms large, making it difficult to achieve the desired equilibrium. Crafting an engaging introduction and a compelling conclusion without veering into clichГ©s can be another hurdle. Striving for originality within the constraints of simplicity demands a creative mindset, as finding a fresh perspective on a seemingly basic theme may prove to be more challenging than expected. Moreover, the challenge lies not only in presenting ideas clearly but also in sustaining the reader's interest throughout the essay. A simple topic may lack inherent excitement, requiring the writer to inject creativity and passion into their writing to captivate the audience. In conclusion, the task of writing an essay on the topic of "A Simple Essay" is surprisingly intricate. It involves navigating the fine line between simplicity and complexity, avoiding clichГ©s, and maintaining reader engagement. While the subject may seem straightforward at first glance, the journey of exploring its depth and breadth can be both intellectually stimulating and demanding. If you find yourself struggling with similar essay topics or if you're pressed for time, consider seeking assistance. Services like HelpWriting.net offer support in crafting well-structured and engaging essays, ensuring that your ideas are presented with clarity and finesse. A Simple EssayA Simple Essay

  • 3. The Unethical Behavior of the 3rd Brigade, 101st Airborne... 3rd Brigade, 101st Airborne Division must face reality. The kill company scandal has seriously damaged the image of the US Army, which in turn has challenged the trust the Nation places in its armed forces. More concretely, these events highlighted the need for strengthening the Rakkasans ethics standards. Soldiers are not warriors; they are ethical warriors, whose identity relies on two inseparable pillars: ethics principles and operational efficiency. The Army core values reflect this ethical identity and the duties that come with it. Understanding that warriors need solid ethical references, the Brigade will demonstrate commitment to the Army values, invest in ethics education, and engage leadership. Warrior ethos without military... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... American soldiers are ethical warriors. Military ethics and warrior ethos constitute the two fundaments of the Army s Code of Honor. One cannot be separated from the other. This obligation has applied for ages to those who held power: science without conscience is but the ruin of the soul, as wrote Rabelais in the early seventeenth century. More than ever, soldiers need ethic references to guide their actions and prevail, especially in a Counter insurgency environment where excessive use of force jeopardizes mission accomplishment. Whatever the situation might be, soldiers must be able to use their science of war with restraint, discernment, and ethics. Recent bad experiences proved that the Army should advocate this ethical military obligation with humility and determination. The Brigade will advocate its commitment to the Army s core values by focusing on Honor, Personal Courage, and Duty because these three values summarize what an ethical warrior must be. The other Army s values remain important but focusing on three will bring clarity and simplicity. Honor is a code of personal integrity. This code ties the Army to the Nation. It is of course the soldiers honor to risk their lives to defend the nation. But it is also their honor to fight in accordance with American values. The US Army s ethical warriors fight their enemies with determination, but respect. Acts of crime, misconduct, and ethical breaches

I know, New Democrats know, that is is possible to grow our economy while protecting our environment, (Tom Mulcair speech at iVote May 2015.) The following reasons why I support the New Democratic Party are. Their belief of not leaving anyone behind, the way they plan to grow the economy and how they will help preserve the environment. Firstly, The NDP s main goal, To build a better Canada , where no one is left behind. Meaning they will support the less fortunate Canadians and help elevate them into a better social class. Another plan the NDP have is to ensure the construction of future national parks, protecting the ecosystems and create new jobs at the same time. • 8. Teaching Hel Is The Variation Of Language And Give Voice... Our approach to teaching HEL is to embrace the variation of language and give voice to ordinary people speaking these variants. While we must rely on textual documentation for most historical samples, we do have recordings of older speakers in American English that continue to exhibit some of the same dialectfeatures found in early Englishes. These voices are found in the interview data collected for the Dictionary of American Regional English, a six volume dictionary of regional American English variation (DARE, 1985 2012). As we near the end of our HEL course, we present an overview of the settlement patterns that have most influenced American regional dialects. Throughout these lectures, we play recordings from DARE speakers as evidence of dialect features that retain links to British and other historical English dialects. Past courses we have taught revealed that standard American English speaking students are often dubious of language features or words that they have never heard before. To counter these views, we engage students in several linguistic sleuthing activities that allow them to become linguistic researchers as they must use DARE evidence to trace dialect features and word etymologies, thereby enriching students experiences learning the history of English. To illustrate, we present three such activities. The first activity is a group project in which a small cohort of students are given an audio clip that illustrates a feature such as a prefixing, want plus

By Ron Kaufman Educational television should be absolutely forbidden. It can only lead to unreasonable disappointment when your child discovers that the letters of the alphabet do not leap up and dance around with royal blue chickens. Fran Lebowitz, Metropolitan Life, 1978 The term cyberspace was coined by writer William Gibson in his book Neuromancer. Published in 1984, Neuromancer was one of the first cyberpunk novels that involved a virtual world alongside the real one. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The children of this new millennium will be barraged with more electronic media than ever in history. The nature of a child s curiosity will naturally drawn him or her to a video game or interactive television. The other influence is that cable operators, television networks and video game publishers target children (and their parents) as part of the consumer base. Children will not be able to escape electronic media and in the future may be drawn more and more toward it. Though the new media saturated world may be wonderful in many ways, what suffers may be traditional educational practices. If children spend their time watching TV and playing video games they are not spending a great deal of time reading and writing. Statistics collected by the U.S. Department of Education s National Center for Educational Statistics (NCES) show that student achievement in both reading and writing has been declining in recent years. The NCES 1998 Writing Report Card states that 16 percent of 4th and 8th graders and 22 percent of 12th graders have not mastered basic writing skills (March, 1999). The NCES 1998 Reading Report Card shows that across grades 4, 8, and 12, no more than 40 percent achieved the proficient level of reading and only 7 percent of 4th graders, 3 percent of 8th graders, and 6 percent of 12th graders could read at the advanced level. The average, or typical, American student is not a proficient writer. Instead,

The problems that Monique is facing with Brian include tardy assignments and lack of discipline in terms of punctuality around the office. The band itself was made up of Fullerton College students, and the concert was directed by Dr.Gregory Woll. Generally speaking, The Cabana Boys are a high energy group performing contemporary musicincluding latin, rock, fusion and pop (department). On the whole, this concert was a new but pleasant experience for me, because it was my first time attending a school jazz concert. For the most part, there was consonance in all of the songs played by this band along with a slow, mellow tempo. The tunes and melodies were repetitive as well as groovy. While this song played, the background stage lights manifested a psychedelic mood by spirling in different colors. The Doors was a Psychedelic/Acid Rock band from the late 1960 s, and therefore it made sense to use those colorful lights to create that surreal, trippy mood. The beginning of the song starts off by saying, Before you slept into unconsciousness, I d like to have another kiss./Another flashing chance at bliss/Another kiss, another kiss. The Cabana Boys were able to represent the LSD part of the acid rock era with the use of this song; since the lyrics are both poetic and

A bright barren wasteland of nothing in which there is a man, completely alone trying to decide what to do next, reflecting upon his situation is the beginning of Act Without Words I, the man is in a hopeless setting and all help or comfort he might have is stripped away from him. We see much the same in the tragicomedy Waiting for Godot but with two men who are waiting and trying to decide what to do while they look for the arrival of the mysterious Godot. He really has no choice; the water is unattainable and will always be denied to him. The tree offers some comfort but then that is taken from him, all things in which he might find ease to his suffering are taken or pulled just out of reach. Even when he seems to come up with the idea to hang himself and then end all his misery that too is removed as an option and even death is taken from him. In stark contrast to Waiting for Godot, Act Without Words I much like the name suggests, has no dialogue, which proposes that verbal communication is either impossible, pointless, or both. The shrill whistle is the only form of communication in the play, and even then, it seems to be unclear to the man and not present a clear message to him aside from one that is startling and unhelpful to him. It only furthers Beckett s idea of communication is worthless if there is nothing worthwhile to say, that the translation of meaning between people can be difficult when we all live in our own realities and our circumstantial existence can warp that meaning when we try to communicate with others. In the end he is left there alone in his own misery in the purgatory like place he is marooned in, this could be seen as an allusion to life and how there is no real end to the suffering of being, that we must simply drift through life no matter how asinine it appears to be and derive meaning however we can. Noah Webster defined torture as: Extreme pain; anguish of body or mind; pang; agony; torment. Ghastly spasm or racking torture....Severe pain inflicted judicially, either as a punishment for a crime, or for the purpose of extorting a confession from an accused person. I put the term judicially in bold because here s how Noah Webster defined that word: The forms of legal justice; as a sentence judicially declared. By way of penalty or judgment; as, to be judicially punished. Fascinating. Here is the man known as the father of American education, who was also a devout Christian that often used Biblical language and citations in his dictionary definitions, describing some forms of torture as legal justice. When the New Testament talks about love your neighbor as yourself it is talking about how we treat each other as individuals. It is not talking about civic justice. Otherwise our prisons would be empty since almost everyone in them claims to be innocent, and who among us wants to be held accountable for our actions? Systems Theory Of Human Service Organizations Human service organizations are there to meet the needs of people and help to prevent and solve problems whilst improving or maintaining the quality of life of people. Human service organizations have a modus of operation so as to deliver its services to the intended recipients. This modus emanates from the systems theory which was introduced by biologist Ludwig von Bertalanffy in the 1940s, and gained importance in the 1960s which permits analysis of the complex nature of human interactions within a social environment. Manufacturer companies also need to be ready to communicate the stakeholders and let them know that they come first. However, when a plan is not firmly established or is completely ignored, the company can jeopardize not only their reputation, but also loose financially, the way Firestone/Bridgestone and Ford Company had to undergo. The youth believes that if they imitate these cynosures they will become affluent and legendary. Famous people imply that if the youth act insubordinately they will be successful in life. Celebrities of today are not appropriate role models for this generation. A celebrity is a famous or well known person, someone who has fame or is renowned (dictionary.com). When people think of a celebrity they think of someone they would see on television, in magazines, or here about on the radio; those are the celebrities I am referring to here, but those aren t the only celebrities out there. There are also other interpretations for the word celebrity. My favorite alternative to the typical thought of a celebrity is the term local celebrity. A local celebrity or hometown celebrity doesn t have to be rich or world famous, they are known for doing something that has either impacted the local area or has made his/her hometown proud. My focus is on the quintessential definition of celebrity, the ones that are known for their influence on the current generation, my generation. The current generation is easily influenced because it is completely focused on being accepted by society and trying to find ones individual identity. The youth of my generation believe that their identity is based on society s acceptance; not on their own thoughts, desires, and opinions of themselves. Most celebrities preach about individuality to

On December 16, 1944 towards the end of World War II the battle was the only major German offensive of the war, launched by Adolf Hitler in order to attempt to reverse the decrease in his fortunes that had started on D ay. He intended to accomplish this by trying to split Allied troops through an assault located within the Ardennes Forest of Belgium, destroying enemy troops located here. I.Introduction There has been numerous studies conducted over the previous decades into how and why engineering and technology (E T) industries have such a low representation of women. The topic has often reached top academic researchers who try to find the root cause and hope to blur the gender lines. Studies have shown that the proportion of women to men in STEM fields is extremely low, despite receiving more help than their male counterparts. One article states, Among the top 100 US universities, only 8.8 15.8% of tenure track positions in many math intensive fields (combined across ranks) are held by women, and female full professors number less than 10% (SI Text, Si). Recent studies have also proven that women represent 16.4% of E T in 2007/2008, which is significantly lower than the average across all subjects (57.1%). Although there has been positive strides, the ratio plateaus out at an unacceptable percentage. This is a problem of high importance that should be studied if society wants to move forward and evolve as a whole. Everyone deserves an equal opportunity to hold positions in all fields, regardless of gender. Aspect 1: The first article titled, Women in Engineering and Tech Have More Help than Males, aims to evaluate women s experiences of higher education in E T, primarily on the assistance and support women E T students receive. The depth of the chamber is stressed by the alternation of window jambs and picture frames on the right hand wall, the stretcher of the large canvas on the left foreground, and the perspective sequence of the empty lamp hooks on the ceiling, which mark as central the spot in the rear wall where the King and the Queen are seen reflected in the mirror. In no other painting has VelГzquez rendered space in so architectural a manner as in this, the only work in which he has depicted a ceiling. Neither is there any other composition of his that is so vividly keyed to the space lying out of the picture frame. Recent studies of Las Meninas, inspired by the ideas of Michel Foucault, have paid considerable attention to the seemingly novel relationship between the scene on the canvas and the spectator. These ideas tacitly assume that the picture was meant to be seen by the public at large, as if it were hanging in an important museum, as it is today. Spending time at the lake as an adult has made the man realize that his life has become unsettling and restless, like the tides of the ocean. When the man lay in bed early one morning, he heard his son sneak out to take a canoe out on the lake, just as he used to do when he was a child. By living a dual existence the man could see from two perspectives; his son sneaking out early in the morning, his father lying in bed listening to his son sneak out. It is through these situations that Palestine has created a unique sense of identity, unlike many nation states. The Palestinian identity has come to transcend borders, nationality, and mediums. It is not only represented in politics and protest, but in personal expression and the arts. This paper argues that both national identity and cultural productions of Palestine represent the diaspora through noticeable adaptation based on location and support the idea that Palestinian identity isn t singularly definable. One particularly interesting perspective is his opinion on how the conflict has somewhat freed the identity of Palestinians from a shared land, and that for some Palestinians that can escape the occupation, there is a the creation of a transnational, transgressive life. (Suleiman, 2003, 73) Thus exists multiple outcomes from one identity. He further supports this by commenting that Palestine does not have borders, does not actually exist in the sense of geography, but it still has a sense of space. The Palestinian people are this space, and the people are how we define what is, and what is not Palestine. People are separated geographically, but defined by identity and community, and this creates a unique sense of freedom outside of a defined nation state. (Suleiman, 2000, 96) This lets the definition of this identity be more fluid. Thus, Beowulf s ability to act as a protector of his people is waning as well.
