This diversity training presented by Dr. J.L. Kemp has the goals of improving community relationships, decreasing litigations, promoting racial harmony, facilitating cultural competence, enhancing self-awareness, and teaching skills to deescalate negative situations. The training will focus on diversity from historical and psychological perspectives, with the goal of providing a cognitive restructure to heighten sensitivity toward others by helping participants understand themselves. It will teach self-analysis, cognitive behavioral, and self-regulation techniques over the course of three sessions.
