the National Institute of Engineering, Mysore

 Received Master’s Degree from IIT
Kanpur,1969

5. CAREER
 First position was at IIM Ahmedabad as Chief
Systems Programmer
 Served as CEO of Infosys Limited from 1981-
2002
 From 2002-2011 served as the chairman of
Infosys Ltd
 In 2011 , became chairman of Emeritus
 In 2013, appointed as additional Director &
Executive Chairman of the Board for 5 years

6.  A God Father of India’s software industry
 Believes giving away money is just as import
as making it
 One of the India’s prominent philanthropist
 Committed to helping struggling people
 Work with a non profit striving to improve the
voter databases in India to strengthen the
nation’s Democratic system

injection of Rs.10,000 invested by his wife

culture, care for the destitute and rural
development

building in a remote area of the Southern state
of AP
 Raising funds for a midday meal program for
the poor
