2. In this photo Tom has positioned the photo in
a landscape way. This is done to capture
everything in the shot. If it was portrait then
the audience would not be able to see the
leading lines within the photo, which are the
arms of the supporters reaching towards the
man, this allows the photo to have attention
drawn to the focal point in this image, which is
the man. The colours in this photo is mainly
green and white which signifies the grass and
the kit the man is wearing. Also, the white
could signify the hope of the team and even a
little bit of light within the man. The lighting in
this image is both natural and unnatural, from
the floodlights in the stadium (which we can
see in the higher stands of the photo, natural
light would not have covered this) and the
natural light by the shadows at the bottom of
the mans right arm. The contrast in this photo
is not very deep, with not a lot of dark places
in the photo. Which makes the photo be
extremely bright with the brightness coming
from the light sources. In this photo it has
deep focus as the full photo is on focus.
3. In this photo Tom has used shallow focus as
only segments in the photo is in focus. Major
focal points are in focus in this image, for
example the two United players and the
crowd. The crowd in this image stands out to
the audience as it takes up the majority of the
photo, the crowd also gives the main colours
to the audience which is red, but then the
Liverpool goalkeeper gives the green away
with the grass. The leading lines within this
image is the net. It draws the audience's
attention to the crowd and the ball. The
lighting in this image is natural lighting, we
know this because of the shadows we can see
from the stadium.
4. In this photo Tom has taken it landscape to
allow the blue bright sky to stand out to the
audience and also to allow the audience to
know the models setting. Obviously this is
taken to spread the word of Paralympics and
the audience knows this because of the angle
of the shot which is a close up. The shot has a
shallow depth of field with only the man being
fully in focus. The triangles on the stadium are
the leading lines to the focal point, which is the
model, all of them are pointing to the model,
and you could also say the lines in the stands
in the background of the shot are. The
brightness in this image is bright with the
contrast not changing anything within the
shot. Now this photo follows the rule of thirds
as the model would be in the middle column
being the centre of the photo which almost
gives the model the centre of attention in this
photo.
5. In this image Tom has taken the photo
with shallow focus on. This is to draw the
attention to the focal point of the image
and for them to feel the mood of the
image. He has taken this image with
enough focus on the focal point but not
too much for the audience to not be able
to see the crow, which you can feel the
mood off too. This image is taken
landscape to allow the audience of the
photo to see the full photo and the
crowd in the background. The leading
lines in this image is the arms of both the
ref and the player. These aim towards
the two men who are the focal points of
this image. This image follows the rule of
thirds in this image, as both of the men
are in the centre of the three boxes. This
allows the audience to see them from
their first glance.
6. In this image Tom has used shallow focus
with only 3 players in focus. This he has
done this to allow the audience to
understand the focal point within in the
photo. The focal point in this image is the
three players and the ball because the sport,
which is football, requires all attention to
the ball, which is what Tom has done here.
The lighting in this image is pretty low-key,
with the only lighting being the floodlights
and the stands, higher in the image, being
dark proves this. The main colours in this
image are black and dark blue, with green
being on the lower side of it mixes them up.
The leading lines in this image are the legs
of the players, with all the legs leading to
the players themselves and aiming at the
ball. Also the contrast of this image is not
very high, with the whites in this image
being white and not grey. Tom has taken
this landscape as he needed to fit in all 3
players and the crowd to show the audience
what the photos full effect is.
