Jeb Bush Presidential Campaign
Presidential Campaign: Jeb Bush John Ellis "Jeb" Bush, comes from a very political background.
Having his father George H. W. Bush and oldest brother George W. Bush, both serve as President of
the United States, gives him a lot of inspiration and drive, also wanting to make a difference in our
world, all while being a man of his own. Jeb is standing strong with his beliefs in his platform. A
few of his issues include domestic, economical, international relations, and education. He entrusts
that this will help improve the overall outcome of America. So, let us take a deeper look into his
political campaign, and observe how his platform issues help create his inspiration into becoming
our President for 2016. In covering the domestic side ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I went into this research trying to have a clear mind, blocking out the facts that his father, George H.
W. Bush, and brother George W. Bush, were both former presidents of the United States. I did not
want to try and categorize Jeb into a category with others. I wanted to keep him as an individual.
After researching Jeb on his political stance in running for President of 2016, I have soon discovered
that he fell into the category as, "another Bush". I do not agree with some of his standing issues,
mainly his insight on education. The common core curriculum is a horrible learning formula for our
children. As an adult and knowing how my education experience was growing up through school,
and looking at how my children are being forced to learn common core, makes my job as a parent
even more difficult. I struggle day in and day out, trying to wrap my head around the way my
children are learning at school, so I am able to offer the support they need at home while completing
their homework assignments. When I have to look at my children and say, "I'm sorry, mom will not
be able to help explain this to you because I just don't understand how you are being taught', just
breaks my heart as a parent. This Common core has made learning a deeper struggle for our children
and I will not, and I mean will NOT, support it. I look at it like this; if you are #AllInForJeb! (Meet

Contrast Of Presidential Campaign Positions Of McCain And...
Contrast of presidential *campaign positions of McCain and Obama. From year to year, presidential
elections face many controversial problems that involve candidates' personality and ideas, and they
have a great influence on voters' decisions. Many journalists and politicians express their feelings
about upcoming presidential elections in provocative articles, revealing accomplishments of one and
limitations of another, but the only right way to find out who our candidates are, and what are their
real intentions, is to let them turn their ideas into life. Just remember the words of President George
Bush during the 2000 campaign about building a nation. His position was very clear and stated that
it is none of the government's business, and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He will also "establish permanent tax credit equal to 10 percent of wages spent or R&D".
McCain plans a retirement tax cut, to be exact, to lower Medicare premiums, and to "reform
budgeting to treat equally spending and taxes and to stop damaging tax hikes". Finally, he adds that
"he is going to fight the Democrats' crippling plans for a tax increases in 2011," which compose
about 700 dollars per person. (McCain J. , McCain Tax Cut Plan, 2008) It is surprising that Obama
has no word about tax increases in his economic issues section; probably he has it in his official plan
and there is no secret about it, but still, can we accuse him of not telling the whole truth? It is pretty
clear that an average voter never reads official plans, and he will never know about tax increases if
somebody like Mr. McCain, for example, will not reveal it for public. It would be foolish to assume
that an excuse might be that elections are in 2009, and plans for 2011 can be reported in 2011, as
candidates should inform their voters about all plans during their presidential term. Not less
important question in economic development is trading policy and employment. Both candidates
have a variety of valuable ideas about this issue. John McCain stresses his attention on lowering
barriers to trade; he "will engage in multilateral,

2012 Presidential Campaign Analysis
Improving the 2016 Presidential Campaign with U.K. Influence
Another four years has passed and it's time for another United States Presidential election and the
campaigning that precedes it. The campaigning starts well in excess of a year with the candidates
campaigning to be elected by their parties in the primaries and then continues right to the run up into
November for the actual voting for president. All along the way the public are bombarded with
slander campaigns on the television, the newspapers, billboards along the roads, and on the radio by
the political parties, super pacs, and the candidates themselves. The campaigns and the way they are
run could be vastly improved with the introduction of portions of the United Kingdom's election ...

The political parties and super pacs are legally allowed to raise virtually unlimited amounts of
money to throw at their chosen candidates' campaigns and, money from foreign investors makes its
way into the election through super pacs and through legal residents who cannot legally vote. Also
candidates reporting of their campaign spending need to be more concise and transparent.
The United States presidential campaign and the primary election leading up to it showcases the
virtually unlimited bankroll candidates along their parties and super pacs have access to. Television
smear campaigns run nearly nonstop in the months leading up to the election and half and full page
ads fill the newspapers as well as mailers filling mailboxes nearly daily. Billboards along roadways

President Donald Trump 's Presidential Campaign
Businessman Donald J. Trump began his 2016 presidential campaign by saying,
When Mexico sends its people, they're not sending their best. They're not sending you. They're not
sending you. They're sending people that have lots of problems, and they're bringing those problems
with us. They're bringing drugs. They're bringing crime. They're rapists. And some, I assume, are
good people. ("Here's Donald Trump's Presidential Announcement Speech")
Mr. Trump's comments reignited a nationwide debate over illegal immigration from Mexico to the
United States. The issue quickly became one of the most controversial matters facing the candidates
on their 2016 quest for the White House. Republican and Democratic contenders alike have
struggled to devise practical solutions for this complex issue. Some are advocating for providing a
path to citizenship to illegal aliens; others are calling for widespread deportations of all
undocumented immigrants; and some are even pushing for the construction of a wall along the
southern border of the nation. Instead, the "land of opportunity" should open its doors and welcome
all those wishing to emigrate from Mexico with open arms. In addition, Legislators should work
together to enact bipartisan, common sense immigration reform that includes offering most of the
migrants already in the country all of the rights associated with full citizenship in the United States.
Although immigration is certainly an important issue in the 2016 election, it is

Presidential Campaign Communication Analysis
Craig Allen Smith's 2015 update of Presidential Campaign Communication details every aspect of a
Presidential campaign from start to finish. Taking into account the trialogue between campaigners,
reporters, and citizens, the roles each of them play differ, but come down to the citizen. The citizen
is exposed to campaign ads, candidate appearances while they try and weed through the information
in order to make a decision on their political beliefs. Campaigners have a different agenda because
they most surface, gain their parties nomination, bring the party together of the primary season, and
then go on to win the electoral college with 270 votes or more. The third and final part of this
'trialogue' are the reporters, which can be on any platform that his an audience. ... Show more

It is also important to understand that only three in four Americans that are registered to vote and,
out of them, only two–thirds go out and vote. It is all about how the citizen decides how to
participate in the election after being presented with all the information of Campaigners. With the
advent of new technology, our new social media overtakes other, older forms of technology. Citizens
surround themselves with like–minded people on these different platforms and are exposed to the
views of their families and friends, who usually hold the same ideals in high esteem. When there is
discourse, which most citizens try to avoid, they remove themselves from the contentious situation.
System 1 thinking affects more Citizens as it is quick and targets people who already have a specific
belief system that allows them to subconsciously take in stimuli. This is in contrast to System 2
thinking, which requires more thinking and effort in order to analyze the

Presidential Campaign Essay
The Presidential campaign is a very major topic of discussion. There are a lot of issues and
conversations that come with these campaigns. While there are many candidates running, at the end
of the day only one president is chosen. There are many pressing problems of the day in terms of the
presidential campaign. This campaign in particular comes with a lot of responsibilities and these
candidates need to prove that they are capable of attacking any issue that comes their way.
Politically, economically, and even socially. The president is chosen by the citizens of America and
they consider all the factors possible before voting because whoever the president is, will be having
a say as to how the United States will function.

While Bush has his concerns on the economy, he also brings up climate change and a solution he
proposes on executing if elected president. In an article, it is mentioned that Bush proposed a
solution to this climate change issue and it states, "Bush has said the U.S. should work with other
countries to cut carbon emissions and has stressed the role of private industry in addressing the
problem" (PBS 1). Jeb Bush wants the United States to seek help from other countries and try to
control the climate change by that. His solution is not realistic because even is the carbon emissions
are cut out, there are other ways to hurt nature which effects the climate. His solution is worth a try
but it cannot be guaranteed that those are the reasons our climate is changing. He needs to put a
strict enforcement of no littering because even though there are fines, no one really abides by that
rule. Other things affecting the climate would be pollution, so smoke and gas, and that will never
lessen because people are dependent on cars, and other means of transportation that requires gas and
pollutes the air with the smoke they release. Another issue brought up by Jeb Bush is gun control, he
believes that people that own guns should have more rights towards them but that cannot be good
for the people in the United States because murders and kidnapping is already an issue as it is with

Donald Trump's Presidential Campaign Analysis
Should presidential candidates be redundantly different from each other? As seen in the past,
presidential candidates have different resolution plans for issues regarding the nation in every
presidential campaign held every four years. Despite the differences candidate's may reflect, every
candidate has to meet the same requirements, they must be a natural born citizen of the United
States, a resident for 14 years, and be at least 35 years of age or older. Throughout the course of
time, the United States, has had 45 different presidents elected into office, all of which have been
men. The United States has never had a woman as president, but this may change after the

such increased measures. In Clinton's campaign she says further background checks should be

problem of individuals with problematic history purchasing firearms "under the radar," such as in
gun shows or online. In contrast to Clinton, Donald Trump has expressed that expanding
background checks is not a part of his main concerns. He agrees with improving the background

Fallacies In Marco Rubio's Presidential Campaign
Presidential campaigns often thrive on fallacies. Trump is a perfect example of this, but is not the
only one. Hillary Clinton, Martin O'Malley, Ben Carson, etc. Marco Rubio's campaign, in particular,
relies on a overly sentimental appeals as well as combination of fallacies resulting in a scare tactic.
Marco Rubio's presidential campaign website poses several questions on the front page, asking if
you want to win or if you are ready. These questions imply Marco Rubio is the "right" choice, that
you must vote for him or else no good will come from the November election. These questions are
fallacious for they imply Rubio is the right choice when that itself is under to question–– is Rubio

The Evolution of Presidential Campaigns and Government–Media Relations
The media has always played an important role in the President's relationship with the public, but
just what kind of affect does it really have on the executive office? The first televised presidential
debate in 1960 between John F. Kennedy and Richard Nixon marked the beginning of a new era –
the inaugural shift of the media's role in politics. Since that time, the media has continued to
transform the way the president is perceived by the public through print, broadcast, and more
recently, social media. All of said outlets have played vital roles in not only a president's campaign,
but also in their presidency and likability throughout their time in office. While the White House is
still the source of most presidential news, the media are the shapers of the story and can frame it
pretty much any way they want. There used to be limits on certain issues or realms of the presidency
that were to remain untouched, however, first amendment freedoms take precedence over almost
any restriction the government could try to place on the media. The purpose of this paper is to
explore the relationship between the media and the president throughout recent years, looking
briefly into the past to establish the scale of the dramatic change, and to study their reciprocal
connection of how each utilizes the other.

The 1968 Presidential Campaign
Life Magazine 1968
The editorial section of Life Magazine devoted a lot of its writing to the 1968 Presidential
campaign. Early on it seems that it will be Richard Nixon running against President Johnson. Only
Richard Nixon and George Romney started out running in the primaries, suggesting that this
seriously underrepresented the Republicans. However, if he were to run, Nelson Rockefeller was
believed to be the republican most likely to beat Johnson. By the end on the first quarter the
emergence of Nelson Rockefeller, Robert Kennedy, and Eugene McCarthy brings new animation to
the race.
At the beginning of the second quarter Johnson has declared that he will not seek a second term as
President opening up the chance for Vice President Humphrey to throw his hat into the ring. This
alters the scheme for those campaigning as they can no longer claim that anyone but Johnson would
do a better job. After the Assassination of Robert Kennedy and the continual premature writing off
of McCarthy it appears that by the end of the second quarter it will be ... Show more content on

Presidential Rhetoric and Campaign Essay
Presidential Rhetoric and Campaign
Osama bin Laden
Osama bin Laden is a political icon to the people of Afghanistan. He has created a modern day
crusade against western civilization that people support because of his rhetorical ability to create,
not only through speech, but also through his actions, an insightful philosophy that has moved
thousands of people into action against the United States. He was able to achieve this because he
chose a religious path that people supported; he took influential persons in his life and his familial
background into his radical stance on Islamic government and created an historical movement that
has affected thousands of people.

He found that the bond held between the civilians of the U.S. was equivalent to fellowship found in
the Islamic religion, but the bond between the Muslim Brotherhood was something that was more
meaningful to him because of his devotion to his religion. The Muslim Brotherhood is an Islamic
organization that's goal is to "build the Muslim individual." (http://www.ummah.org.uk/ikhwan/) In
order to do this they reject any other religious affiliations that do not focus on the Quran or Sunna
(http://www.ummah.org.uk/ikhwan/). Because of his connection with the Muslim Brotherhood,
many went on to categorize him as an "Islamist." "An 'Islamist' is one who views Islam as the total
way of life and desires to have Islamic law implemented in every aspect of life."
Qutb's radical affiliation with this group as well as his Islamist perspectives parallel another one of
Osama bin Laden's major influences, Taqi al–Din Ibn Tammiyah.
Taqi al–Din Ibn Tammiyah is, in essence, the provoker of intolerance amongst Islamists against any
differing displays of Islamic religion. He is also a supporter of the Muslim Brotherhood, "which

First of all, Mrs. Candidate it is my honor to advice you for this years' presidential campaign. In
order to succeed in this campaign, it is important that you get familiar with Japan and also how their
local and international politics are structured. Before we start, let me please briefly introduce you
the structure of the Japanese government. After the World II Japan replaced their Meiji constitution
to its current Constitution in 1946. According to Maki the reason why Meiji constitution is because
as he stated "The national tragedy of a physically and spiritually devastating lost wars brought the
old constitutional order to an end." (Maki, 1990). In the new Constitution, it states that Japan shall
have a constitutional monarchy, in which the Emperor is the head of the state but serves only as the
symbol of the state with no power. (NYU, 2006). Moreover, the Japanese Government consists of
three branches including, the Executive branch, the legislative branch and the Judicial branch.
Executive power consists of the Prime Minister and other ministers who complete the Cabinet. On
the other hand, the Japanese national parliament "Diet" has the legislative power. The Diet is
comprised from both the House of Representatives and the House of Councilors. Moreover, both of
these houses are directly elected by the Japanese ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Dole's Presidential Campaign Essay
When one reflects upon the various characteristics of all the previous presidents in the history of
America, one trait has remained unchanged: they have all been male. In well over 200 years and 57
presidential elections, the United States has never elected a woman as president. Still more telling, a
woman has never even been nominated to run for president at the top of the ticket of a major
national political party in the U.S., and only two, Geraldine Ferraro and Sarah Palin, have been
selected for the number two slot. Nevertheless, women have been running for the nation's highest
office even before they earned the right to vote in 1920 with the passage of the 19th Amendment. In

after that she attended Harvard Law School which had only 23 other women in her class out of 550
students (152). Following the completion of her education, Dole began working for the White House
Office of Consumer Affairs in both the Johnson and Nixon Administrations (Gutgold 109). Other
notable positions she held during her career include serving for a time as the U.S. Secretary of
Transportation under President Ronald Reagan, as the U.S. Secretary of Labor under President
George H. W. Bush, and as the President of the American Red Cross (Gutgold 109–110). When
considering the period in which she grew up, she truly was an accomplished woman. Research
shows that women candidates are "assumed to be less qualified than men to hold public office, even
when they have more experience and stronger credentials" (Carroll and Fox 55). With this in mind,
it is most likely one of the main reasons why Dole strongly stressed her personal and career
experiences during the campaign. She undoubtedly hoped to use her background as evidence of her
readiness for the nation's highest office and, and the same time, to eliminate the inaccurate

"Republican presidential hopeful Jeb Bush will make his first official campaign stop in Colorado"
(Rittiman). Jeb Bush started his presidential campaign August 25th and seems to be falling fast just
two months later. Suffering Donald Trump 's reality show style insults and the problems his family 's

people behind him seeing him as genuine, but now he is beginning to fall prey to Trump 's
demonization. Bush is losing funding fast and unfortunately for him some are calling him the next

Jeb Bush is a real contender for primary. It would not be fair to call him a pretender, but he is losing
support fast. Bush has even publicly shown indication of his loss of faith.

"I've got a lot of really cool things I could do other than sit around, being miserable, listening to
people demonize me and me feeling compelled to demonize them. That is a joke. Elect Trump if you
want that" (Cillizza).

America 's Choice 1960 Presidential Campaign
History`s choice–1960 Presidential campaign What respectable person would think of the best
choice for president? There are plenty of classical case of presidential campaigns in past years. In
1960, the Soviet Union and the United States were in the Cold War. Nevertheless, civil rights and
the fight against apartheid and other issues cause a lot of trouble. According to these historical
background, there are two politicos began to compete for president: John F. Kennedy, a young and

Kennedy and Nixon before the presidential campaign, Kennedy not only the lack of rich diplomatic
experience, but also in a disadvantaged situation of his identity of Catholics. However, Kennedy
won the presidential campaign by his unique advantage. There are several differences and
similarities between Kennedy and Nixon that cause the final result of the presidential campaign.
Religion entered the campaign in 1960 as 1928 and it 's importance can not be underestimated.
Kennedy and Nixon have a different religion. Many citizens voted for their religion rather than their

where they attack each other personally, rather than focusing on the issues at hand. While it is said
that polarity is an integral part of nature, we need our differences to bring us together as a whole,

Presidential Election : The Presidential Electoral...
After research–filled, highly targeted, and negative campaigns, the results of the 2016 Presidential
Election stunned the world. But were these results really all that surprising? America was prepared
for a change in policy and election projections were incorrect due to the fact that there existed many
"under cover Trumpers", whom voted their conscience but were not willing to openly admit their
political beliefs for fear of condemnation. The 2016 Presidential Election results open many areas
for research into the legitimacy of the Electoral College, civic engagement, and campaign strategies
as well as raises concerns over the fear American people possessed in defending their political
values.
Amidst the past eight years of lackluster economic advancement, America's prowess and respect
declining worldwide, increasing government involvement in daily lives, and a President seemingly
unwilling to take a solid stance on a the global threat of terrorism, the transfer of power between
political parties in the White House is not so stunning. Due to the two–party system, this is not an
unprecedented phenomenon. The American people are constantly seeking a political party to garner
their attention and adapt to changing times, opinions, demographics, and attitudes (Cohen) and this
results in the alternation of power between the two key political parties.
What does contribute to the surprise element of the election results is the miscalculation by election

Levy (2016) states that "Struggling to make ends meet, Ben Carson's 2016 Republican presidential
campaign woes continued Thursday with the announcement of a "reorganization" that cost dozens of

campaigns. It follows that the fate of the presidential candidates' fate relies on organization and by
extension, their pockets.
Private financing forms the biggest percentage of political parties funding and their candidates
which comes with both dangers and virtues. While enabling political parties or candidates to engage
the electorate better stands as a virtue, the financing also poses considerable risk to democracy. The
main concern is the source of money which could be from illegal or criminal activities aimed at
curtailing the course of justice. The main concern among the electorate is the upholding of impunity
and buying influence by the campaign financiers.

Senator Ted Cruz 's Presidential Campaign
After a crushing defeat in Tuesday 's Indiana primary, Texas Senator Ted Cruz ended his presidential
bid, clearing the way for GOP front–runner to become the presumptive nominee. "Tonight, I'm sorry
to say, it appears that path has been foreclosed," Cruz said, as supporters began shouting emotionally
"No!" "And so with a heavy heart, but with boundless optimism for the long–term future of our
nation, we are suspending our campaign." Cruz added, "But hear me now, I am not suspending our
fight for liberty." The news of Cruz suspending his campaign came from his campaign manager Jeff

The alliance left both campaign supporters questioning their motives as a recent NBC News/WSJ
poll showed voters overwhelmingly opposed the alliance. The alliance became shaky just hours after
both campaigns announced their divide and conquer plan when Kasich said his supporters should
still vote for him even though he wasn 't campaigning there. The alliance quickly dissolved when
Cruz stated there was no alliance leading to Kasich 's campaign to tweet out a subliminal message of
"I hate liars." Last Wednesday, Cruz tried to get the media 's attention away from Trump 's foreign
policy address by announcing his Vice Presidential pick, his former rival Carly Fiorina. The move
was seen as "a sign of desperate" according to many media pundit who questioned why would Cruz
who was mathematically eliminated from becoming the nominee pick a running mate just three
months before the convention. Cruz hoped the move of picking Fiorina, who became his strongest
surrogate after endorsing the Senator before the Florida primary in mid–March would help with the
moderate Republicans and woman voters. After announcing Cruz–Fiorina 2016, Fiorina campaigned
alongside the Cruz, a mistake the Cruz 's campaign employed. Previous approaches in Iowa and
Wisconsin used by the Cruz 's campaign would deploy their top surrogates in key suburbs as a

Presidential Election And Campaign Recommendations
Re: Analysis of the 2012 Presidential Elections and Campaign Recommendations
After analyzing the different strategies used in the 2012 presidential election by candidates Barack
Obama and Mitt Romney, I have gathered enough information to lead you, Candidate Smith, into a
path of success, and in the hope to help you reach presidency. The key element that made Obama
successful, was the usage of social media–such as Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Youtube, etc.
Therefore, I hope you have at least one account running in your favor, if not that will be the first
thing on the agenda. So first, I will explain the possibilities for video ad campaigns and the power
they have to persuade the people. Second, I will go over statistics for the Swing States of Nevada
and Wisconsin, in order to understand our demographic–that is there ethnicities, income, education,
and most importantly to understand their needs, that way we can start brainstorming on how we can
help them prosper. And third, I will explain how Obama's campaign was managed and what made
him successful, moreover, how he was able to utilize social media to engage and relate to the
citizens.
Analysis of Romney V. Obama Video Ad Campaigns
During the 2012 presidential election, both candidates Obama and Romney utilized the power of the
internet to create short video ad campaigns. Some were aired on television, others were uploaded to
social media platforms, such as Youtube. After carefully analyzing four videos, two from the Obama

1864 Presidential Campaign Analysis
The primary issue during the presidential campaign of 1864 was the Civil War and determining how
it was going to come to a conclusion. The growing divide between the North and the South had
become overwhelming. The North and the South could not come to any agreements on issues such
as slavery, nullification, and tariffs. The greatest dividing factor was slavery, which was currently
legal in the South but was becoming increasingly unpopular in the North. Southerners feared it was
only a matter of time before northerners obtained the political power in order to abolish slavery
throughout the country. South Carolina was the first southern state to secede, followed by Georgia,

Johnson chose to continue President Lincoln's moderate reconstructive plan to repair the South as
well as the relationship shared by the North and South. Johnson also was disinclined to punish the
South, despite the many increasingly persistent Northern Radicals who demanded that the South
should receive penalties for opposing the Union. This was similar to President Lincoln's decision, he
also refused to punish the South. Not only did Johnson follow Lincoln's plans, he also supported
lincoln's political views. Johnson oversaw the 13th Amendment to the United States Constitution
disbanding slavery. Lincoln had always strongly supported the abolishment of slavery and the belief
that all men are created equal. Although Johnson was able to successfully complete a significant
amount of his predecessor's intentions, he was not very successful in fulfilling Lincoln's remaining
term. President Johnson was from the South, but supported the Union during the war, he was called
a traitor by many citizens of the South. In this way Johnson alienated himself from many groups,
including the Whig Party. Johnson also became the first president in history to be impeached,
however he was later acquitted by the Senate by one

The Importance Of Latino Political Parties In The 2000...
The amount of Latinos in this country is rapidly growing; the Latino community is 16.3 percent of
the population. In the article written by Kate Linthicum, it is estimated that 40 million Latinos will
be eligible to vote by 2030 and in 2014, 25 million Latinos were eligible to vote. In the previous
2012 Presidential elections, the massive amount of Latinos had a significant importance in the
election. Both the Democratic and Republican political party aimed to receive the support of the
Latino voters. This upcoming election both political parties will have to find strategies to win over
the Latino vote. Neither the Democratic nor the Republican political party is a perfect fit for the

Social Media's Role In Presidential Campaigns
Social media websites have been gaining popularity and record amounts of users since the early
2000s, but in recent years social media has started to have an important role in presidential
campaigns. Barack Obama, president of the United States from 2009 to 2017, is regarded as the first
"social media president" and since his time in office, the use of social media has only continued to
expand. The use of websites such as Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube have become key components
in the election of the president and their time in office. This importance can particularly be seen by
examining the most recent presidential election in 2016. The 2016 campaign season, election, and
subsequent presidency of Republican candidate, Donald Trump, are largely considered to be unlike
any other in the history of America. Unlike campaigns in the past, every detail of the 2016 process
was shared online. Not only did the public use ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
During the 2016 campaign season, Donald Trump's frequently uttered phrase "fake news" made the
headlines week after week and continues to be discussed well into his presidency. Fake news is
defined by Hunt Allcott and Matthew Gentzkow as "news articles that are intentionally and
verifiably false, and could mislead readers." Facebook, in particular, had a significant issue with the
spread of fake news reports and articles during the 2016 election. An increasing number of residents
in the United States are creating social media accounts and turning to these websites for quick
access to political knowledge and social media companies are struggling to slow the spread of fake
news. Managing the rise of online false stories is a problem never encountered before in presidential

Presidential Election : Presidential Campaign
The 2016 Presidential campaign is riding on numerous factors which are being played out in 2014.
Obama and his success or failure, will play a significant role in the way in which the voters may
swing politically in the 2016 election. President Obama won by a landslide in 2008, which gave the
Democratic party more votes than it had seen since 1964 (Martin, web). This had given hope to the
Democratic Party that the American political landscape had created a new electoral map with a more
diverse coalition (Martin, web). However, there seems to be concern over Obama's involvement in
the current 2016 election campaign strategy.

Granted, he cannot be solely responsible for all that has occurred, however the American population
looks to him to solve the problems and to protect them. Obamacare was probably the most
significant factor that impacted the popularity of Obama. The nation is probably very easily divided
on their opinion in regard to the healthcare reform. Some are lauding it for finally addressing the
huge need for healthcare insurance for the millions who had none previously. Others were happy to
hear that the insurance premiums would be more controlled. However, there are those on the
opposite side who feel that his reform drives up their premiums and that they will be too limited on
their physician choices, will receive lower quality care, or other concerns that have not yet been
validated or confirmed as real threats. The overall issue that Obama faces is that he has changed the
way of life for many through his attempt to alleviate major problems. People don't always handle
change well, even if it is a good thing. The most effective way to use him is to reinforce the positive
changes and how they have helped people. However, there will always be those who are unable to
hear these truths despite their validity.
The strategy for him to avoid certain states is probably very wise. Those who have hard held beliefs
are not likely to change their minds if he comes to their doorstep

Presidential Election Campaign Analysis
Four years have past and it is time for yet another presidential election. Presidential campaigning for
this election started as early as February, approximately 21 months prior to the actual Election Date.
The Republican party had originally 17 candidates, 16 of them dropped out leading Donald J. Trump
to be the Republican Nominee. The fight for the Democratic nomination was neck and neck. With
originally 6 candidates, 5 whom dropped out, lead Hillary Clinton to be the Democratic Nominee.

Jill Stein and Libertarian Party, Gary Johnson.

However there were people who from the start knew exactly who they were voting for and why. It's
all about, which candidate best represents the issues you want to be changed (or keep.) Donald
Trump is talking about how America would be better off if we kept everyone out of it, not letting
anyone from mexico entering by building a wall. Trump thoroughly believes that this wall is how
we will make America great again. There are many people who are for trumps immigration stance,
wanting to send back any illegal immigrants to their country. However what if being failed to be
noted is that building a wall is only regressive. Building this wall with one of America's closest
allies will only put a strain in our relationship with not only Mexico, but the rest of the world.
Trump wants to alienate and attack all Mexicans legal and illegal in the United States, as opposed to
Jill Stein who wants to be able to provide for them. Stein support immigrants' rights and wants to
create a welcoming path to citizenship for immigrants.Wanting to put the discrimination to an end,
Stein wants to provide everyone with equal rights and access to health care. Her platform on Health
Care as a Right states, "No restrictions based on pre–existing illness, employment, immigration
status, age, or any other category." Donald Trump wants to kick people out of America thinking that
is how America becomes better again, but he is wrong. Jill Stein wants to halt deportations,
including the shameful practice of night raids being used to terrorize refugee families. People come

President Donald Trump 's Presidential Campaign
Businessman Donald J. Trump began his 2016 presidential campaign by saying,
When Mexico sends its people, they're not sending their best. They're not sending you. They're not
sending you. They're sending people that have lots of problems, and they're bringing those problems
with us. They're bringing drugs. They're bringing crime. They're rapists. And some, I assume, are
good people. ("Here's Donald Trump's Presidential Announcement Speech")
Mr. Trump's comments reignited a nationwide debate over illegal immigration from Mexico to the
United States. The issue quickly became one of the most controversial matters facing the candidates
on their 2016 quest for the White House. Republican and Democratic contenders alike have
struggled to devise practical solutions for this complex issue. Some are advocating for providing a
path to citizenship to illegal aliens; others are calling for widespread deportations of all
undocumented immigrants; and some are even pushing for the construction of a wall along the
southern border of the nation. Instead, the "land of opportunity" should open its doors and welcome
all those wishing to emigrate from Mexico with open arms. In addition, Legislators should work
together to enact common sense immigration reform that includes offering most of the migrants
already in the country all of the rights associated with full citizenship in the United States.
Although immigration is certainly an important issue in the 2016 election, it is not a new

Presidential Campaign Ethics Case Study
In short, the Presidential Campaign is long and tough an often in the beginning you may have up to
seven opponents all trying to win their party nomination to run against the other party winner on a
national level. Therefore, each of the candidates will hire a team to manage his or her campaign and
each team goal is to convince the public that their candidate is the best choice and it's their job to
help get their candidate message on the primary elections and then on to the national elections. In
general, the political team will use different forms of mass communication such as; radio, television,
and satellite TV are the most logical choice because it can reach millions of people and it can affect
how they view their candidate opponents. However, most people don't trust politicians believing
they would say anything to get elected and according to Neher & Sandin (2007), "To many people,
political communication ethics sounds like oxymoron" (p. 227). Furthermore, in the public view,

The Presidential Campaign And Obama 's Administration
A key issue during the 2008 presidential campaign and Obama's administration was interest groups
and lobbyists. Obama had to deal with interest groups all throughout his presidency, whether it was
dealing with Congress or his interaction with committees. Over time interest groups have taken on a
larger and more important role in government. The interaction between interest groups and Obama
played an influential role in shaping his presidency. Special interest groups are a group of people,
usually formally organized that share a common concern and wish to influence public policy in
some way. The goal of all interest groups is to affect government policy for themselves or to further
their causes. A goal they have could be an exclusive policy that benefits group members or one
segment of society or a policy that affects a larger group such as the public as a whole. An example
of an exclusive policy is government subsidies for farmers and an example of a larger effecting
policy is improving air quality. The main method special interest groups use to accomplish their
goals is lobbying, which is trying to influence decisions made by legislators or other government
officials. Whether a government is democratic, authoritarian, or totalitarian, interests are a dominant
and permanent aspect of the political world. Furthermore, interest groups not only play a role on the
national stage, they exist at all levels of government: national, state, provincial, and local. Interest

1992 Presidential Election Campaign Analysis
During his acceptance speech in 1988, Republican Vice President, George H. W. Bush, said, "read
my lips, no new taxes" (Bush as cited by Matthews, 2004). Unfortunately, in the wake of financial
pressure President Bush in 1990 implemented a new tax on the American people. The failure to
honor this declaration brought into question President Bush's credibility and trust, and ultimately
followed him to the 1992 Presidential Election (Jamieson, 1996). However minimal the phrase, the
impact of his trustworthiness plagued Bush to the ballot box costing him reelection. The presence of
credibility, likability, and charisma in a political candidate are precious characteristics needed in the
electoral process.
These characteristics have the power to move voters in an electoral process and ignite action

Presidential Campaign Of President Obama
Political campaigns can elevate a candidate's position, or a poorly run campaign can doom that
candidate's chances no matter how good the candidate is. At the end of the day all that matters is
winning. That is the goal of political campaigns in a nutshell. There have been many tactics
implemented when trying to run a campaign. Of the tactics implemented there are those that are
believed to work better than others. Of those that work better than others are, mobilizing base voters
by properly identifying who they are, having a clear message and spreading that message to voters,
debate performances and fundraising efforts. In this paper the 2008 presidential campaign of current
president Barack Obama will be measured along with the 2004 presidential campaign of John F.
Kerry. In this paper both campaigns will be analyzed on what tactics they used properly, where they
were not as effective and what could have been differently.
One of the most important factors when trying to run a successful political campaign is properly
identifying and mobilizing base voters. According to the readings in the book Presidential Elections:
Strategies and Structures of American Politics, it gives reasons why people do and do not vote. One
of the reasons people do vote is because voting in some way or another makes the voter "feel good."
However when a campaign properly identifies their base voters, they can pretty much assume that
those voters are going to go out and vote, but more importantly

Donald Trump's win in the recent Presidential campaign is probably one of the greatest paradoxes in
the recent political history of the US. On the one hand, he was the candidate unwanted and criticised

the other hand, his very controversial sayings and ideas has drawn the public attention and public
support to him and revived nostalgic feelings of many Americans about traditional American values
and return of America to its greatness.
However, in its essence, Donald Trump just manipulated with the public opinion and made a stir to
draw the public attention that was his main purpose. On analysing his Presidential campaign it is

Presidential Election Campaigns: Article Analysis
In the article "Hype Versus Substance in Network Television Coverage of Presidential Election
Campaigns", authors Julia R. Fox, James R. Angelini, and Christopher Goble analyze political
coverage on broadcast news during the final weeks of presidential elections. In the end they found
that in the final weeks of campaigns many voters are still undecided. "Voters making up their minds
at the end of the campaign tend to be less partisan and more likely to use–and to be influenced by–
media messages in making their decision " (Fox, J., Angelini, J., & Goble, C). This tends to be
enough to cause a last minute "swing" in an election. With this being said the authors also found that
these broadcast news stations very rarely address the critical

Compare And Contrast The Three Dramatic Mass Media...
Contrastingly, the three dramatic mass media presidential campaigns differed in the following ways.
Starting with the 1960 campaign, it was the first of its kind and so all that was broadcasted was not
advanced as compared to the debates that succeeded. The 1960 Kennedy/Nixon debate was
broadcasted live from a television studio unlike other debates that followed (Webley, 2010). Else
too; the images were not clear – they lacked quality definition due the fact that the technology used
then was not so advanced like that of the years that succeeded ( History, n.d ). Fifteen years later
another presidential campaign happened. This was in 1992 when Bush, Clinton and Perot were
contesting for presidency. This time the campaigns took a very

The Presidential Campaign : The Campaign
When the 2016 presidential campaign began, no one expected that the big collection of current and
former governors would slide to the back of the pack. Governors once had an inside track to the
White House. Is that a thing of the past? It's hard to say for sure yet –– but the current governor–
candidates have all had trouble. The ones with the most experience in governing have had the
hardest time exciting citizens, while those with the least experience have created the most buzz.
Among Republicans with experience, Louisiana 's Bobby Jindal, Texas ' Rick Perry and Wisconsin 's
Scott Walker have dropped out. George Pataki (New York) hasn 't escaped the second–string debate
squad, while Chris Christie (New Jersey), Mike Huckabee (Arkansas) and John Kasich (Ohio) have
also been mired in the bottom tier. The heir presumptive, Jeb Bush (Florida), found himself hemmed
in from his first steps out of the gate.
It hasn't been much different for the Democrats. Former Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley has gasped
for oxygen, and Lincoln Chafee of Rhode Island couldn't survive a disastrous debate performance.
What's going on here? After all, governors have been winning presidential elections pretty
consistently in recent times and in the nation's history. In all, 17 presidents –– nearly 40 percent of
the total –– have first served as governor. From 1901 (Theodore Roosevelt) through 2009 (George
W. Bush), governors held the White House for 62 years, nearly three–fifths of the time.

Jeb Bush Presidential Campaign

  • 1. Jeb Bush Presidential Campaign Presidential Campaign: Jeb Bush John Ellis "Jeb" Bush, comes from a very political background. Having his father George H. W. Bush and oldest brother George W. Bush, both serve as President of the United States, gives him a lot of inspiration and drive, also wanting to make a difference in our world, all while being a man of his own. Jeb is standing strong with his beliefs in his platform. A few of his issues include domestic, economical, international relations, and education. He entrusts that this will help improve the overall outcome of America. So, let us take a deeper look into his political campaign, and observe how his platform issues help create his inspiration into becoming our President for 2016. In covering the domestic side ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I went into this research trying to have a clear mind, blocking out the facts that his father, George H. W. Bush, and brother George W. Bush, were both former presidents of the United States. I did not want to try and categorize Jeb into a category with others. I wanted to keep him as an individual. After researching Jeb on his political stance in running for President of 2016, I have soon discovered that he fell into the category as, "another Bush". I do not agree with some of his standing issues, mainly his insight on education. The common core curriculum is a horrible learning formula for our children. As an adult and knowing how my education experience was growing up through school, and looking at how my children are being forced to learn common core, makes my job as a parent even more difficult. I struggle day in and day out, trying to wrap my head around the way my children are learning at school, so I am able to offer the support they need at home while completing their homework assignments. When I have to look at my children and say, "I'm sorry, mom will not be able to help explain this to you because I just don't understand how you are being taught', just breaks my heart as a parent. This Common core has made learning a deeper struggle for our children and I will not, and I mean will NOT, support it. I look at it like this; if you are #AllInForJeb! (Meet Jeb) more power to ... • 2. Contrast Of Presidential Campaign Positions Of McCain And... Contrast of presidential *campaign positions of McCain and Obama. From year to year, presidential elections face many controversial problems that involve candidates' personality and ideas, and they have a great influence on voters' decisions. Many journalists and politicians express their feelings about upcoming presidential elections in provocative articles, revealing accomplishments of one and limitations of another, but the only right way to find out who our candidates are, and what are their real intentions, is to let them turn their ideas into life. Just remember the words of President George Bush during the 2000 campaign about building a nation. His position was very clear and stated that it is none of the government's business, and ... McCain plans a retirement tax cut, to be exact, to lower Medicare premiums, and to "reform budgeting to treat equally spending and taxes and to stop damaging tax hikes". Finally, he adds that "he is going to fight the Democrats' crippling plans for a tax increases in 2011," which compose about 700 dollars per person. (McCain J. , McCain Tax Cut Plan, 2008) It is surprising that Obama has no word about tax increases in his economic issues section; probably he has it in his official plan and there is no secret about it, but still, can we accuse him of not telling the whole truth? It is pretty clear that an average voter never reads official plans, and he will never know about tax increases if somebody like Mr. McCain, for example, will not reveal it for public. It would be foolish to assume that an excuse might be that elections are in 2009, and plans for 2011 can be reported in 2011, as candidates should inform their voters about all plans during their presidential term. Not less important question in economic development is trading policy and employment. Both candidates have a variety of valuable ideas about this issue. • 3. 2012 Presidential Campaign Analysis Improving the 2016 Presidential Campaign with U.K. Influence Another four years has passed and it's time for another United States Presidential election and the campaigning that precedes it. The campaigning starts well in excess of a year with the candidates campaigning to be elected by their parties in the primaries and then continues right to the run up into November for the actual voting for president. All along the way the public are bombarded with slander campaigns on the television, the newspapers, billboards along the roads, and on the radio by the political parties, super pacs, and the candidates themselves. The United States presidential campaign and the primary election leading up to it showcases the virtually unlimited bankroll candidates along their parties and super pacs have access to. • 4. President Donald Trump 's Presidential Campaign Businessman Donald J. Trump began his 2016 presidential campaign by saying, When Mexico sends its people, they're not sending their best. They're not sending you. They're not sending you. They're sending people that have lots of problems, and they're bringing those problems with us. They're bringing drugs. They're bringing crime. They're rapists. And some, I assume, are good people. ("Here's Donald Trump's Presidential Announcement Speech") Mr. Trump's comments reignited a nationwide debate over illegal immigration from Mexico to the United States. The issue quickly became one of the most controversial matters facing the candidates on their 2016 quest for the White House. Republican and Democratic contenders alike have struggled to devise practical solutions for this complex issue. Some are advocating for providing a path to citizenship to illegal aliens; others are calling for widespread deportations of all undocumented immigrants; and some are even pushing for the construction of a wall along the southern border of the nation. Instead, the "land of opportunity" should open its doors and welcome all those wishing to emigrate from Mexico with open arms. In addition, Legislators should work together to enact bipartisan, common sense immigration reform that includes offering most of the migrants already in the country all of the rights associated with full citizenship in the United States. Taking into account the trialogue between campaigners, reporters, and citizens, the roles each of them play differ, but come down to the citizen. The citizen is exposed to campaign ads, candidate appearances while they try and weed through the information in order to make a decision on their political beliefs. Campaigners have a different agenda because they most surface, gain their parties nomination, bring the party together of the primary season, and then go on to win the electoral college with 270 votes or more. With the advent of new technology, our new social media overtakes other, older forms of technology. Citizens surround themselves with like–minded people on these different platforms and are exposed to the views of their families and friends, who usually hold the same ideals in high esteem. When there is discourse, which most citizens try to avoid, they remove themselves from the contentious situation. While there are many candidates running, at the end of the day only one president is chosen. There are many pressing problems of the day in terms of the presidential campaign. This campaign in particular comes with a lot of responsibilities and these candidates need to prove that they are capable of attacking any issue that comes their way. In an article, it is mentioned that Bush proposed a solution to this climate change issue and it states, "Bush has said the U.S. should work with other countries to cut carbon emissions and has stressed the role of private industry in addressing the problem" (PBS 1). Jeb Bush wants the United States to seek help from other countries and try to control the climate change by that. His solution is not realistic because even is the carbon emissions are cut out, there are other ways to hurt nature which effects the climate. His solution is worth a try but it cannot be guaranteed that those are the reasons our climate is changing. He needs to put a strict enforcement of no littering because even though there are fines, no one really abides by that rule. Other things affecting the climate would be pollution, so smoke and gas, and that will never lessen because people are dependent on cars, and other means of transportation that requires gas and pollutes the air with the smoke they release. As seen in the past, presidential candidates have different resolution plans for issues regarding the nation in every presidential campaign held every four years. Hillary Clinton, Martin O'Malley, Ben Carson, etc. Marco Rubio's campaign, in particular, relies on a overly sentimental appeals as well as combination of fallacies resulting in a scare tactic. Marco Rubio's presidential campaign website poses several questions on the front page, asking if you want to win or if you are ready. • 9. The Evolution Of Presidential Campaigns Niko Kazanjian Presidential Politics 12/2/14 The Evolution of Presidential Campaigns and Government–Media Relations The media has always played an important role in the President's relationship with the public, but just what kind of affect does it really have on the executive office? The first televised presidential debate in 1960 between John F. Kennedy and Richard Nixon marked the beginning of a new era – the inaugural shift of the media's role in politics. Since that time, the media has continued to transform the way the president is perceived by the public through print, broadcast, and more recently, social media. All of said outlets have played vital roles in not only a president's campaign, but also in their presidency and likability throughout their time in office. While the White House is still the source of most presidential news, the media are the shapers of the story and can frame it pretty much any way they want. There used to be limits on certain issues or realms of the presidency that were to remain untouched, however, first amendment freedoms take precedence over almost any restriction the government could try to place on the media. The purpose of this paper is to explore the relationship between the media and the president throughout recent years, looking briefly into the past to establish the scale of the dramatic change, and to study their reciprocal connection of how each utilizes the other. Early on it seems that it will be Richard Nixon running against President Johnson. Only Richard Nixon and George Romney started out running in the primaries, suggesting that this seriously underrepresented the Republicans. However, if he were to run, Nelson Rockefeller was believed to be the republican most likely to beat Johnson. By the end on the first quarter the emergence of Nelson Rockefeller, Robert Kennedy, and Eugene McCarthy brings new animation to the race. At the beginning of the second quarter Johnson has declared that he will not seek a second term as President opening up the chance for Vice President Humphrey to throw his hat into the ring. • 11. Presidential Rhetoric and Campaign Essay Presidential Rhetoric and Campaign Osama bin Laden Osama bin Laden is a political icon to the people of Afghanistan. He has created a modern day crusade against western civilization that people support because of his rhetorical ability to create, not only through speech, but also through his actions, an insightful philosophy that has moved thousands of people into action against the United States. He was able to achieve this because he chose a religious path that people supported; he took influential persons in his life and his familial background into his radical stance on Islamic government and created an historical movement that has affected thousands of people. He found that the bond held between the civilians of the U.S. was equivalent to fellowship found in the Islamic religion, but the bond between the Muslim Brotherhood was something that was more meaningful to him because of his devotion to his religion. (http://www.ummah.org.uk/ikhwan/) In order to do this they reject any other religious affiliations that do not focus on the Quran or Sunna (http://www.ummah.org.uk/ikhwan/). Because of his connection with the Muslim Brotherhood, many went on to categorize him as an "Islamist." "An 'Islamist' is one who views Islam as the total way of life and desires to have Islamic law implemented in every aspect of life." Taqi al–Din Ibn Tammiyah is, in essence, the provoker of intolerance amongst Islamists against any differing displays of Islamic religion. He is also a supporter of the Muslim Brotherhood, "which support violence "under the guise of Islamic revivalism and fundamentalism." (http://ddc.aub.edu.lb/projects/pspa/al–ahbash.html). • 12. Japanese Presidential Campaign First of all, Mrs. Candidate it is my honor to advice you for this years' presidential campaign. In order to succeed in this campaign, it is important that you get familiar with Japan and also how their local and international politics are structured. Before we start, let me please briefly introduce you the structure of the Japanese government. After the World II Japan replaced their Meiji constitution to its current Constitution in 1946. According to Maki the reason why Meiji constitution is because as he stated "The national tragedy of a physically and spiritually devastating lost wars brought the old constitutional order to an end." (Maki, 1990). In the new Constitution, it states that Japan shall have a constitutional monarchy, in which the Emperor is the head of the state but serves only as the symbol of the state with no power. (NYU, 2006). Moreover, the Japanese Government consists of three branches including, the Executive branch, the legislative branch and the Judicial branch. Executive power consists of the Prime Minister and other ministers who complete the Cabinet. On the other hand, the Japanese national parliament "Diet" has the legislative power. Dole's Presidential Campaign Essay When one reflects upon the various characteristics of all the previous presidents in the history of America, one trait has remained unchanged: they have all been male. In well over 200 years and 57 presidential elections, the United States has never elected a woman as president. Still more telling, a woman has never even been nominated to run for president at the top of the ticket of a major national political party in the U.S., and only two, Geraldine Ferraro and Sarah Palin, have been selected for the number two slot. Nevertheless, women have been running for the nation's highest office even before they earned the right to vote in 1920 with the passage of the 19th Amendment. Following the completion of her education, Dole began working for the White House Office of Consumer Affairs in both the Johnson and Nixon Administrations (Gutgold 109). Other notable positions she held during her career include serving for a time as the U.S. Secretary of Transportation under President Ronald Reagan, as the U.S. Secretary of Labor under President George H. W. Bush, and as the President of the American Red Cross (Gutgold 109–110). When considering the period in which she grew up, she truly was an accomplished woman. Research shows that women candidates are "assumed to be less qualified than men to hold public office, even when they have more experience and stronger credentials" (Carroll and Fox 55). With this in mind, it is most likely one of the main reasons why Dole strongly stressed her personal and career experiences during the campaign. Jeb Bush started his presidential campaign August 25th and seems to be falling fast just two months later. Suffering Donald Trump 's reality show style insults and the problems his family 's dynasty created Jeb has been steadily falling in the polls. He first came out running with many people behind him seeing him as genuine, but now he is beginning to fall prey to Trump 's demonization. Bush is losing funding fast and unfortunately for him some are calling him the next Scott Walker. Jeb Bush is a real contender for primary. It would not be fair to call him a pretender, but he is losing support fast. Bush has even publicly shown indication of his loss of faith. "If this election is about how we're going to fight to get nothing done," Mr. Bush said, then "I don't want any part of it. I don't want to be elected president to sit around and see gridlock just become so dominant that people literally are in decline in their lives. That is not my motivation." He added, "I've got a lot of really cool things I could do other than sit around, being miserable, listening to people demonize me and me feeling compelled to demonize them. That is a joke. Instead of blindly searching for the black or white answers, we must defeat the enemy by moving toward common ground. Currently in politics, we see the negative effect of polarization as the presidential campaign has become candidate centered rather than issue centered. We see the candidates resort to bully–like tactics where they attack each other personally, rather than focusing on the issues at hand. While it is said that polarity is an integral part of nature, we need our differences to bring us together as a whole, rather than drive us apart. Polarization is inevitable due to the unique design of every individual, but issues are seen as either black or white, when really ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

For example, the world has been introduced to social movements such as the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, in which people are challenged to dump a bucket of ice on their heads in support of an ALS charity. Another example includes the shooting in Ferguson, Missouri, to which an African American man by the name of Michael Brown was shot by a Caucasian police officer; this sparked Americans to use various support methods to generate awareness to racism and policy brutality. • 20. Presidential Election : The Presidential Electoral... After research–filled, highly targeted, and negative campaigns, the results of the 2016 Presidential Election stunned the world. But were these results really all that surprising? America was prepared for a change in policy and election projections were incorrect due to the fact that there existed many "under cover Trumpers", whom voted their conscience but were not willing to openly admit their political beliefs for fear of condemnation. The 2016 Presidential Election results open many areas for research into the legitimacy of the Electoral College, civic engagement, and campaign strategies as well as raises concerns over the fear American people possessed in defending their political values. Amidst the past eight years of lackluster economic advancement, America's prowess and respect declining worldwide, increasing government involvement in daily lives, and a President seemingly unwilling to take a solid stance on a the global threat of terrorism, the transfer of power between political parties in the White House is not so stunning. Due to the two–party system, this is not an unprecedented phenomenon. The American people are constantly seeking a political party to garner their attention and adapt to changing times, opinions, demographics, and attitudes (Cohen) and this results in the alternation of power between the two key political parties. The Presidential Campaign Levy (2016) states that "Struggling to make ends meet, Ben Carson's 2016 Republican presidential campaign woes continued Thursday with the announcement of a "reorganization" that cost dozens of paid staffers their jobs." This statement shows the impact that finances have on the US presidential campaigns. It follows that the fate of the presidential candidates' fate relies on organization and by extension, their pockets. Private financing forms the biggest percentage of political parties funding and their candidates which comes with both dangers and virtues. While enabling political parties or candidates to engage the electorate better stands as a virtue, the financing also poses considerable risk to democracy. The main concern is the source of money which could be from illegal or criminal activities aimed at curtailing the course of justice. The main concern among the electorate is the upholding of impunity and buying influence by the campaign financiers. Obama had to deal with interest groups all throughout his presidency, whether it was dealing with Congress or his interaction with committees. Over time interest groups have taken on a larger and more important role in government. The interaction between interest groups and Obama played an influential role in shaping his presidency. Special interest groups are a group of people, usually formally organized that share a common concern and wish to influence public policy in some way. The goal of all interest groups is to affect government policy for themselves or to further their causes. A goal they have could be an exclusive policy that benefits group members or one segment of society or a policy that affects a larger group such as the public as a whole. An example of an exclusive policy is government subsidies for farmers and an example of a larger effecting policy is improving air quality. At the end of the day all that matters is winning. That is the goal of political campaigns in a nutshell. There have been many tactics implemented when trying to run a campaign. Of the tactics implemented there are those that are believed to work better than others. Of those that work better than others are, mobilizing base voters by properly identifying who they are, having a clear message and spreading that message to voters, debate performances and fundraising efforts. In this paper the 2008 presidential campaign of current president Barack Obama will be measured along with the 2004 presidential campaign of John F. Kerry. In this paper both campaigns will be analyzed on what tactics they used properly, where they were not as effective and what could have been differently. One of the most important factors when trying to run a successful political campaign is properly identifying and mobilizing base voters. In all, 17 presidents –– nearly 40 percent of the total –– have first served as governor. From 1901 (Theodore Roosevelt) through 2009 (George W. Bush), governors held the White House for 62 years, nearly three–fifths of the time. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
