With a team of 11 people we achieved a goal of 22.5 million pesos in gross utility
for 2014. Designed and implemented commercial strategies for corporate accounts,
associations and government events.
Developing new business income streams through innovating MICE services.
Enhancing the added values by creating synergies with local CVB’s and a variety
of other suppliers.
Develop international allies to extend the net and capabilities of the agency in all

Los Cabos, Mexico 02/12 - 06/13
With a budget of 10 million USD and 15 different suppliers, I composed and leaded
a team of more than 120 people in order to produce and co-organize the G20 event
celebrated in Los Cabos, Mexico. I was in charge of coordinating and integrating
the services of audio & video, furniture, scenography, construction and
conditioning of special areas and delegate accreditation, for the host hotels and
convention centre for the G20.
Selected achievements
• Built and leaded a team (on record time) of specialists in architecture,
engineering, audio  video, event organizers and logistics, in order to satisfy the
necessities of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Executive Director / Monterrey, Mexico Convention  Visitors Bureau
06/10 – 01/12
Leaded and assembled a team of 19 people with the main purpose of attracting
more and new touristic events to the city. With a budget of $ 3.4 millions, I
implemented the projects and action plans proposed from the trust committee.
Developed and implemented the annual plan for the CVB with the main objective
of attracting events with a potential generation of 175,000 room nights.
Collaborated in conjunction with meetings planners, PCO’s, Convention Centres,
Airlines, Hotels, Mexico Tourism Board (MTB) and /or DMC’s on the design and
integration of bids for national and international events.

MICE exhibition called “Expo Meetings Mexico 2010”.

• Created an strategy for positioning emerging destinations with various services

October 2005 – February 2009
With a budget of $1.2 millions I leaded the federal strategies to work in conjunction
with the 32 state ministries of tourism and 56 Convention and Visitors Bureau in
Mexico, in order to attend and improve the MICE industry and to develop the
competitiveness of their touristic offer. Developed professionalization programs
according to the precise necessities of certain destinations. Advise the IRS and
regulatory instances in ways to promote the opening of small businesses and
touristic enterprises.
Selected achievements
• Published four specialized and valid up to now, of the four solely publications
related to this industry.
• Organized 8 national congresses reaching a record assistance of 450 meetings
industry professionals.
Sales Director / Corporate Travel Services
Mexico, City 10/98 – 10/05
Started the sales department on the second biggest business travel agency in
Mexico. Developed the economic model based in value added services and wined
top accounts such as: UL, Dupont, Televisa, etcetera.

• Leaded the evolution from the conventional airline commissions’ economic
model, to transactional and administrative fees.
• Implemented the SABRE web based online corporate booking engine, called
