Ordinary Angler is a retail software package to be sold at Wal-Mart and Bass Pros beginning 2nd
quarter 2004. Ordinary angler is a fishing tool that utilizes 2.5 million scenarios to suggest lure,
color, presentation, and fishing depth. I was responsible for writing all the back end processes to
access the database, web services to retrieve current weather, as well as the decision support
engine to query the database and rank the results. These tasks were accomplished by utilizing
VB.net and C# .net. The database platform utilized in this project was SQL 2000 desktop version
(MSDE).
Spam Stiffer
Designed and wrote an Anti-Spam SMTP and Pop3 server utilizing VB.net and SQL 2000.
System is based on black list concept. Unacceptable email is either automatically sent follow up
information to the sender or dropped from server completely. Users of the software are
guaranteed to receive email from acceptable senders only. I was responsible for design,

Skate Canada Voting system
Skate Canada is Canada’s largest skating association with 350,000 members. I was responsible
for writing the user interface and database routines to interface with custom hardware created by
Daktronics Inc. The hardware was used to display logins and the vote agenda. The system had to
display French as well as English. The database platform utilized in this project was SQL7
California Assembly Voting system
California is 5th largest economic power in the world with over a trillion-dollar economy.
Government provides services to over 35 million people spread out over 2,000 square miles. The
California state budget for over 130 departments and 200,000 employees is approaching $97
billion dollars. Passing laws, creating rules, and regulations to run such an empire is time
consuming and often cumbersome, As an employee of Omnitech, Inc., a subcontractor for
Daktronics Inc., along with a few other individuals, I was responsible for designing, developing,
and implementing a system to automate and expedite the procedures in place to pass legislation.
I was solely responsible for the design of the distributed systems, data replication, backup,
recovery systems, as well as reporting systems. Application was written in VB, ASP, C utilizing
MSMQ and COM, SQL 7 was the database backend.
Break Even
Breakeven is a commercial financial analytical program that takes all aspects of a farming
operation and calculates the “Break Even” price for a farming entity such as a bushel of corn or
wheat. This program is sold to crop insurance agencies to determine the level of coverage. I was
solely responsible for the design, development, testing and installation of the software. Breakeven
was written using visual basic utilizing MSDE as the data store.
Credit Soup
Credit Soup is a nationally known free service designed to connect an individual with a lender that
best fits their credit needs. Whether you have no credit, bad credit, or excellent credit, Credit
Soup makes finding your funding very simple and easy. I was responsible for site flow, all ASP
pages, database layout and design, as well as the decision engine to recommend loans, cards,
and other financial opportunities people qualified to receive. Most of the site was written in ASP
with a SQL server backend.
Express Communication Intranet
Express Communications is a wholly owned subsidiary of SDN Communications. Express
communications manages phone cards for 27 independent telephone companies. I wrote an
application that helps Express Communication mange those cards. The application is completely
web based. Any user from the 27 local phone companies can put in requests to reprint cards,
5. disconnect phone numbers, as well as change address and contact information. The application
was written in ASP utilizing SQL 7 as the backend.
Hagedorn Chiropractic
Hagedorn Chiropractic is a small chiropractic clinic in Sioux Falls, SD. I wrote a small accounting
program to schedule appointments, and run accounts receivable, and accounts payable. Program
was written in Microsoft Visual Basic.
Level(3)
Level (3) is an international communications and information service company and is
headquartered in Broomfield, Colorado. The company operates one of the largest
communications and Internet backbones in the world. Level (3) has numerous “lights out”
facilities. I wrote an application that would read the event log of the PC’s in these facilities,
prioritize the events, and queue them to a specialist to deal with the event. The program was
written in C.
MCS
MCS is the card service business that processes merchant transactions and issues credit cards
to consumers. I wrote an application utilizing SQL server and MSMQ to accept on-line credit card
applications and send them to a scoring engine for approval. Once the application was processed
the system would direct the user’s browser to a page displaying acceptance or denial. If they
were accepted it would also display what credit cards they were qualified to receive.
Sencore
Sencore is a leading manufacturer of electronic test equipment. I was responsible for designing
and writing an application to run on an Embedded Windows NT device. The device was used to
monitor real time monitoring for DVB and ATSC streams. The Application was written in C.
Carrier Finance
Carrier Finance, LLC was founded in February 1999 to factor receivables for trucking companies.
Carrier's sister company, Process Agent Service Company, Inc. (Pasco) is the nation's largest
provider of process agents for transportation companies with over 30,000 companies using its
services. Carrier was founded initially to provide factoring for these Pasco clients and have since
expanded our client base to include an array of different types of companies including; security
services, auto interior fabricators, lumber mills, commercial painting companies, janitorial
companies, and employment agencies.
I wrote a document imaging system to manage all the documents associated with the process of
“Factoring receivables”. The application was written in VB and Utilized SQL 7 as the data store.

IBP has $13 Billion dollars in sales per year, one thing that is very important is its order entry
system. My responsibility at IBP was to design and develop the windows based order entry
system. The user interface was written in PowerBuilder. I also wrote many of the interface
modules that retrieved the data from DB2 on the mainframe. Another responsibility I took on at
IBP was the design and development of the programming framework which other IBP application
were written from.

Multi Bank Conversion
In its conception the First Data Resources Office in Sioux Falls was opened by First Premier bank
to process merchant credit card accounts, shortly after I started with First Premier Bank, it was
sold to First Data Resources. In doing so the software written for First Premier bank needed to be
rewritten to support multiple banks. It was my responsibility to convert current charge back
systems to support multiple banks. It was also my responsibility to design and develop the
settlements and collection system used to track settlement and collection issues with merchants.
