As a first step, the solvent is filtered with a 1.2 Micron patch before use.
All tools (such as pans, funnels, forceps, wash bottles, flasks, etc.)
are also cleaned thoroughly to prevent contamination.
The part is flushed with the filtered solvent, which is then collected for analysis.

The patch is dried before and after rinse to
determine the total weight of contaminants.

Solvent is pulled through the patch with a vacuum pump.

The contaminant particles on the patch are examined, identified, and
measured in microns with Olympus microscope software.
Measurements, including distances, angles, areas, and diameters, can be
taken using the microscope software.

The microscope and software are calibrated before each use to accurately
measure distances, angles, areas, and diameters.

All patch data is saved and recorded, along with the patch,
and reported back to the customer.
