The Itik-Itik is a folk dance from the Visayan region that originated from a dance called the Sibay which imitates bird movements. The dance traces its origins to Carmen, Lanuza, Surigao where a woman named Kanang was asked to perform the Sibay at a baptismal party. Typical costumes for the dance involve the girls wearing patadyong or balintawak dresses with bell-shaped sleeves and short skirts while boys wear barong Tagalog or camisa de chino with white trousers.
