Information technology professionals (IT professionals) are professional organizations providing
technology, systems and Internet services. These organizations include a wide range of

 Programmer:-
IT programmers design applications by writing the code that instructs computers to perform
specific functions. Programmers may work for a software development company or within a

 Web Developer:-
Web developers are responsible for the creation of company websites, layout design, writing
code, and usability testing. Many work closely with graphic designers. Web developers typically
work for web design firms or as independent contractors. Some businesses hire their own
webmasters to maintain company websites and manage site content.
 Associate Developer:-
Coordinate with clients and analyze all business requirements and develop information systems
to ensure smooth transition to all business systems.
Associate developer responsibilities are to follow the instructions of the senior developer or
development manager and coordinate the staff activities. The development process may be aimed
in the development of projects and processes for internal or external requirements.
 Project and Technical Services Management:-
Many IT professionals advance their careers as project or technical services managers. A project
manager is responsible for overseeing individual projects, from communicating with clients to
coordinating designers and programmers. Technical services managers direct the computing
resources for their company. They coordinate employees and manage user services.
 Data Administrators:-
Data administration or data resource management is an organizational function working in the
areas of information systems and computer science that plans, organizes, describes and controls
data resources.
 Chief Technology Officer:-
In partnership with the company’s founders, identify opportunities and risks for delivering the
company’s services as a web-based business, including identification of competitive services,
opportunities for innovation, and assessment of marketplace obstacles and technical hurdles to
the business success.
 Systems Administration:-
Systems administrators install and repair an organization's computer systems. They are
responsible for maintaining communications, such as Internet and intranet systems, local area
networks (LAN), and wide area networks (WAN).
 Technical Supporter:-
Computer support specialists provide technical assistance to their clients, from troubleshooting e-
mail to training individuals in new software applications. Many tech support professionals work
at a help desk within an organization, while others work for companies that offer outsourced
technical services
 Data Quality Manager:-
The work of the quality manager will be affected by the nature of the employing organization but
is likely to include some or all of the following activities:-
 Devising and establishing a company's quality procedures, standards and specifications
 Reviewing customer requirements and ensuring that they are met
 Working with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers
 Making sure that manufacturing or production processes meet international and national
standards
 Setting up and maintaining controls and documentation procedures

 Software Engineer:-
A software engineer is a licensed professional engineer who is schooled and skilled in the
application of engineering discipline to the creation of software.
 Software Designers:-

requirements and specifications and business processes, create architectures, design the
look, write clean code, solve both engineering and domain problems, package and market
their applications.
 Systems Architect:-
Systems Architect is a person who defines the overall structure of an application and
breaks it down into component parts to be developed.
 System Analyst:-
A systems analyst is an IT professional who specializes in analyzing, designing and
implementing information systems. System analysts assess the suitability of information
systems in terms of their intended outcomes and liaise with end users, software vendors and
programmers in order to achieve these outcomes.
 Programmer Analyst:-
