The marketing objective of Singham Returns was to build a franchise around the film, for which an animated caricature of Singham was created that would appeal to kids.
The film had tied up with Aaj Tak to come up with a special Singham video for their popular animation series ‘SO SORRY!’
With very limited time available for marketing the film, Singham Returns’ Facebook page managed to get more than half a million followers, by mere organic promotions.
The film was also trending on Twitter with hashtags like #SinghamReturns, #AataMajhiSatakli and #BajiraoSingham.
For the first time, a Hindi film had launched an AUGMENTED REALITY app for Android and iOS users. The campaign was also complemented by 2 mobile games: Singham Returns-The Game and Singham Returns- Takedown.
The film had also come up with a range of merchandise that became hugely successful.
A co branded merchandise deal was also signed with Bewakoof.com, in order to widen the film’s reach.

Hashtags are the SEO of Instagram.
As any marketer does, I spend a lot of time thinking about keywords for mine and my clients websites, trying to get that 1st position.
But for ages, I haven't done the same thing for Instagram hashtags. I put relevant hashtags, I used the 30 your allowed and my clients saw decent growth.
Then the realisation came across me. Those hashtags are like my SEO keywords, and if I use the right ones I can get much better growth.
The recipe for this is to use a mixture of low competition and high competition hashtags, and I have layed out my strategy in this here document.
Also... I can do these sliders now thanks to my lovely LinkedIn community!

Now that Google is strong-arming all of us into using Google+ by forcing Google+ results into the SERPs, social networking has definitely become part of SEO, and vice versa.
Jerod Morris of Copyblogger gives reasons why brands should be utilizing podcasting in a big way at the 2015 SEJ Summit Dallas, sponsored by Searchmetrics.
Summary:
Copyblogger knows all too well the power of text content, yet recently they’ve shifted a significant portion of its media strategy to podcasting. Jerod will demonstrate why on-demand audio content is the present and the future of content marketing, and how this represents a land grab opportunity for big brands who in general have been slow to capitalize on this trend. He'll explain how brands can participate by either jumping into audio content creation or leveraging the best of what's already out there.

Semantic Core Research Will Help Your Site Get FoundDavid Black
This slideshare is about Semantic Core Research. Semantic Core is defined as the textual foundation your website is built upon. It's how search engines, like Google, understand what your landing pages and entire website are truly about.
One of the biggest challenges in market research is to motivate participants for research. Studies have confirmed that the often used Matrix questions seem to demotivate participants. I think that play can be the key to a better participant experience, which will result into a higher respond rate and high quality data. During the webinar I’d like to explain the magical power of game mechanics from a psychological perspective. I also would like to share some best practices I learned during the development of my own research game The Association Game.

8 core areas of SMER Planning
These are the slides of a keynote I gave at Emerce Eday on 25 October 2012 in Rotterdam.
The short description of my talk was as follows: With the ongoing rise of third party applications like Klout, tools for measuring Twitter influence are important to understand. This presentation takes a look at the different ways in which influence measures have been developed for Twitter. In particular it will use the case study of the UK riots of 2011 for which a database of 2.6 million tweets was collected in collaboration with Twitter and The Guardian newspaper. By examining the top 1000 most tweeted accounts, it will give further insight in how influence worked during this crisis event, specifically highlighting the emergence of the ‘ordinary influential’ during 2011 as well as how large organisations have incorporated social media practices.
Sharing Childrens Hospital Los Angeles' journey from zero social media involvement to full social media immersion in under one year using no new staff members.
Overview of integration and alignment with existing web practices for the organization. Channels used include:
• Facebook (Facebook.com/ChildrensLA)
• Blog (WeAreCHLA.org)
• Twitter (Twitter.com/ChildrensLA)
• YouTube (YouTube.com/ChildrensLA)
Conclusion is that the hospital began with a platform of what is "Our Story" and social media allows Childrens Hospital Los Angeles to have others answer the question "What is YOUR STORY about the hospital?"

Neuro-symbolic is not enough, we need neuro-*semantic*Frank van Harmelen
Neuro-symbolic (NeSy) AI is on the rise. However, simply machine learning on just any symbolic structure is not sufficient to really harvest the gains of NeSy. These will only be gained when the symbolic structures have an actual semantics. I give an operational definition of semantics as “predictable inference”.
All of this illustrated with link prediction over knowledge graphs, but the argument is general.

Epistemic Interaction - tuning interfaces to provide information for AI supportAlan Dix
Paper presented at SYNERGY workshop at AVI 2024, Genoa, Italy. 3rd June 2024
https://alandix.com/academic/papers/synergy2024-epistemic/
As machine learning integrates deeper into human-computer interactions, the concept of epistemic interaction emerges, aiming to refine these interactions to enhance system adaptability. This approach encourages minor, intentional adjustments in user behaviour to enrich the data available for system learning. This paper introduces epistemic interaction within the context of human-system communication, illustrating how deliberate interaction design can improve system understanding and adaptation. Through concrete examples, we demonstrate the potential of epistemic interaction to significantly advance human-computer interaction by leveraging intuitive human communication strategies to inform system design and functionality, offering a novel pathway for enriching user-system engagements.

Elevating Tactical DDD Patterns Through Object CalisthenicsDorra BARTAGUIZ
After immersing yourself in the blue book and its red counterpart, attending DDD-focused conferences, and applying tactical patterns, you're left with a crucial question: How do I ensure my design is effective? Tactical patterns within Domain-Driven Design (DDD) serve as guiding principles for creating clear and manageable domain models. However, achieving success with these patterns requires additional guidance. Interestingly, we've observed that a set of constraints initially designed for training purposes remarkably aligns with effective pattern implementation, offering a more ‘mechanical’ approach. Let's explore together how Object Calisthenics can elevate the design of your tactical DDD patterns, offering concrete help for those venturing into DDD for the first time!

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
Speakers:

Here is something new! In our next Connector Corner webinar, we will demonstrate how you can use a single workflow to:
Create a campaign using Mailchimp with merge tags/fields
Send an interactive Slack channel message (using buttons)
Have the message received by managers and peers along with a test email for review
But there’s more:
In a second workflow supporting the same use case, you’ll see:
Your campaign sent to target colleagues for approval
If the “Approve” button is clicked, a Jira/Zendesk ticket is created for the marketing design team
But—if the “Reject” button is pushed, colleagues will be alerted via Slack message
