Muhammad spread the beliefs and practices of Islam through conquest. His successors built an empire stretching from Spain to India. In the 7th century, a split created the Sunni and Shiite sects of Islam. The nomadic Arabs originated from the Arabian Peninsula and organized into tribes. Muhammad received revelations from God through the angel Gabriel and founded Islam, with beliefs including monotheism, following the Five Pillars of Islam, and adhering to Sharia law.

Think atheist population is skyrocketing and Christianity is dying? You're wrong! The percentage of population who do not identify with any religion (unaffiliated or atheist) has been growing steadily in the past few years. But in coming decades, religiously unaffiliated people are expected to make up a declining share of the world’s population, according to a recent study by the Pew Research Center. The world is projected to become more religious — not less.
How religious diversity will prevail in the time to come? What will be the future of world’s major religious group? How we will cope with atheism and continuous decline in Christian population? Who’ll take the crown in 2050? Pew Research attempts to answer these questions by projecting the changing size and movement of different religious and non-religious groups through the year 2050 based on a variety of demographic factors.
The document summarizes the early leadership and division of Islam after the death of Muhammad. It discusses the first four caliphs - Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, and the dispute between Ali and Mu'awiya over the fourth caliph. The division resulted in the two main sects of Shi'ites, who believe only descendants of Muhammad should lead, and Sunnis, who accept the election of the first four caliphs and believe each individual has a direct relationship with God. Both sects revere the Quran and Muhammad but differ in their views of religious authority.

This document seeks to dispel common myths about Islam and Muslims. It notes that while many assume most Muslims are Arab and live in the Middle East, in reality only 20% are Arab and the country with the largest Muslim population is Indonesia. It also clarifies that Muslims worship the same God as Christians and Jews, called Allah in Arabic. Further, it notes that while some Muslim women wear veils, dress styles vary significantly in different cultures and countries. The document aims to provide factual information about key beliefs and practices in Islam.

The document discusses the role and responsibilities of a caliph in Islam. It explains that a caliph acts as a successor or vicegerent to the Prophet Muhammad and is elected democratically by the people. The caliph's role is to judiciously rule over people according to Islamic law and serve the interests of the community. The four caliphs that succeeded the Prophet - Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, and Ali - are held up as exemplary models. The caliph is meant to uphold justice, avoid oppression, and can be removed if failing to perform duties competently and justly.
Islam was founded by Mohammed in Mecca in 632 AD and spread rapidly after his death. It expanded from Palestine, Egypt, and Persia to North and West Africa, and into Europe through Sicily and Spain. Muslim ideas and culture also spread to South and Southeast Asia through extensive trade networks. Key contributions included advances in math, science, and architecture through beautiful structures like the Alhambra palace which featured Islamic geometric designs.
Islam (/ˈɪslɑːm/;[note 1] Arabic: الإسلام, al-ʾIslām IPA: [alʔisˈlaːm] ( listen);[note 2] historically called Muhammadanism in non-Islamic Anglophone societies)[note 3] is a monotheistic and Abrahamic religion articulated by the Qur'an, a religious text considered by its adherents to be the verbatim word of God (Allāh), and, for the vast majority of adherents, by the teachings and normative example (called the sunnah, composed of accounts called hadith) of Muhammad (c. 570–8 June 632 CE). An adherent of Islam is called a Muslim (sometimes spelled "Moslem").[2] Muslims believe that God is one and incomparable[3] and that the purpose of existence is to worship God.[4] Nearly all Muslims consider Muhammad to be the last prophet of God.
Muslims also believe that Islam is the complete and universal version of a primordial faith that was revealed many times before through prophets including Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, and Jesus.[5] As for the Qur'an, Muslims consider it to be both the unaltered and the final revelation of God.[6] Religious concepts and practices include the five pillars of Islam, which are obligatory acts of worship, and following Islamic law, which touches on virtually every aspect of life and society, from banking and welfare to the status of women and the environment.[7][8]
Islam began in the early-7th century. Originating in Mecca, it quickly spread in the Arabian peninsula and by the 8th century the Islamic empire was extended from Iberia in the west to the Indus river in the east. The Islamic Golden Age refers to the period traditionally dated from the 8th century to the 13th century when much of the historically Islamic world was experiencing a scientific, economic and cultural flourishing.[9][10][11] The expansion of the Muslim world involved various caliphates and empires, traders and conversion to Islam by missionary activities.

This document discusses various poetic devices that are commonly used in song lyrics, including rhyme, metaphors, imagery, personification, point-of-view, hyperbole, repetition, and symbols. Rhyme, metaphors, and repetition are used to make songs more memorable. Imagery and personification are techniques that use vivid descriptions or animate objects to create vivid images. Lyrics can be written from different points-of-view. Hyperbole exaggerates for dramatic effect. Symbols are used to evoke larger emotional responses. These poetic devices give lyrics deeper meaning and make the songs more impactful and catchy.
1. Islam – den yngsta monoteistiska
världsreligionen
Har många historiska likheter med judendomen och
kristendomen.
3. Koranen
Koranen innehåller många berättelser. Bibliska personer
hur Muhammed levde sitt liv. Berättelserna kallas
hadither.
Sharia – är lagar angående bl. a. arvrätt, äktenskap,
(shia). De som stödde Ali och partiet kallas
shiamuslimer.
14. Islams olika riktningar
Wahhabism – fundamentalistisk gren av sunnimuslimer.
Förkastar all utveckling som skett efter 600-talet. Starkt
extremister.
15. Islams högtider
Ramadan – firas den nionde månaden i den muslimska
kalendern
Id al-Fitr – är festen som avslutar Ramadan. I tre dagar
Men såklart
har synen på detta förändrats med tiden.
Mannen bestämmer om familjen ska tillhöra islam. Men
Begravning
Ansiktet mot Mecka.
Begravas inom 24 timmar.
Ej kremera kroppen.
