IPv6 adoption has not taken off as quickly as expected, with only minimal IPv6 traffic currently, but Tata Communications believes early IPv6 support provides them an advantage over competitors. 3. Further catalysts are still needed for widespread IPv6 adoption, such as improved DNS and network management support, as well as more IPv6-enabled applications and content. The growth of mobile internet may be the trigger that drives more rapid IPv6 deployment.
