• This was introduced in 12.1
• Alternative to the original type of material status where a
status was stored on the subinventory, and the locator,
and the lot
• Onhand Material Status is stored with the onhand record
in MTL_ONHAND_QUANTITIES_DETAIL (MOQD)
• Similar to OPM 11i Lot Status, and so this is enabled by
default when an OPM customer migrates from 11i to R12
• Common source of confusion – users look at the status on
the Lot record instead of the Onhand status

Secondary Quantity Related Sales Order Messages
• Sometimes when performing Ship Confirmation or Interface Trip Stop (ITS)
or Pick Releasing a sales order, an error related to secondary quantities
may be encountered. Two sample messages are:
– Error: For a Fixed Conversion the secondary quantity cannot deviate.
– Error: The quantity entered is higher than the allowed deviation for the item. Please
re-enter
• If encountering one of these messages or a similar message, it is helpful
when logging a Service Request to provide specific information. This
information will help in debugging the issue. The next slides discuss this.

Secondary Quantity Related Sales Order Issues
• To confirm the error, set the debug profiles as described in note “How to
Create a Debug File in Shipping Execution (Doc ID 290432.1)”. Run the
process where the error is occurring with the appropriate debugging set.
Provide the log file in the Service Request (SR).
• For the order with the error, run the “HTMOMSE Sales Order Diagnostic
Script (Doc ID 133464.1)” and provide the output.
• For the same order, run the ord12.sql script from note “Diagnostic Script
For Order management-OPM Issues in Release 12 : ord12.sql (Doc ID
845112.1)” and provide the output.
