Electric circuit
“An electric circuit is formed when a conductive path is created to
allow free electrons to continuously move. This continuous
movement of free electrons through the conductors of a circuit is
called a current, and it is often referred to in terms of "flow," just
like the flow of a liquid through a hollow pipe.
The force motivating electrons to "flow" in a circuit is
called voltage. “

Resistance is the hindrance to the flow of charge.
Voltage
Voltage is the force or pressure that excites the electrons to flow.
Current
Current is the rate of the electrical charge passing through a point on
a circuit, measured as a quantity over time.

  • #13 Talk about voltage as the temperature of the water, and current the pressure pushing the water through the hose.Direct current as having polarity; that is from one pole (positive) to the opposite pole (negative). While AC fluctuates from positive to negative to positive. Perhaps think of DC as being like a magnet; while AC is a bit like a wave travelling through the water.DC: Batteries (like remote batteries, mobile phone’s, laptops, car batteries); AC: Home electronics (lights, refridgerator, oven, power transmission).Interesting info about the current wars ..
