Slide 3: Born in 1566 as James Charles Stuart. - His mother was - Mary Queen of Scotland and his father was Henry Stuart Duke of Albany. - Descendant of Henry VII, great-grandchild of Margaret Tudor. - His father was murdered when James was, he became king.

The Printed press was invented in 1440 by the German man Johannes Gutenberg.
By 1500 there were printing presses all over Western Europe which had already produced over 20 million volumes.
During the 16th century their output rose tenfold to around 200 million copies.
