In many American middle and high schools, there are rules on how you must dress.
The most known of these are that boys must wear shirts and must not show their
underwear, and girls must have shorts or skirts be fingertip length, not show

but most of these rules are geared towards young women. College and real life do
not have dress codes. Employers have dress codes so that their employees can convey

Collins and Once More to the Lake by E.B. White both have a theme of memories,
and how the past affects the future or present. Both authors use syntax and diction to
show the themes. Everybody has memories, like their first birthday party, learning
how to ride a bike, or even going to a lake with their family when they were younger.

of sessions delivered by those in the field of Therapeutic Recreation and related areas
in Newfoundland and Labrador. I was able to attend many sessions involving topics
like inclusion, mental health and empowerment, and through which, attained many
new skills and perspectives for my future in therapeutic recreation. Before this
conference, I did not have a solid idea as to what therapeutic recreation truly looked
like in Newfoundland. However, through involvement in sessions, and interaction
with other delegates and therapeutic recreation professionals, I was able to broaden

One of the sessions I was lucky enough to attend was Chelsea Hicks opening
keynote: Growing Through Stigma . I found this session very empowering and I
found myself connecting to Chelsea and becoming emotionally involved with her
story within the first few minutes of her session. It was this presentation that
defined was this conference meant to me, and what I was going to try and get
from it. On March 7 of this year, at 9 o clock in the night, I received a call from my
mother, telling me that my own childhood friend, Chelsea, had committed suicide.
Since that day, I have found myself in the same foxhole that Chelsea Hicks
described that she found herself in after her mother s passing. I am still learning
how to cope with what happened in March, and the sessions throughout this
conference have provided me with the skills to not only cope with my own trauma
and depression, but also, how to support those who may be suffering currently. Due
to my own experiences with struggling with learning how to manage and
communicate my struggle confidently with others, I found myself wanting to ask
Chelsea Hicks if she could go back in time and give advice to her own father on how

stimulating factors to overcome the challenges by using entrepreneurial energy and
positive factors that encourage entrepreneurship (Bruno and Tyebjee 1982). However,
the first entrepreneurship education at college level course was offered by Harvard
University in 1947; gathered momentum in business schools in the early 1970s and
according to the Kauffman Centre for Entrepreneurial Leadership, it begun as a force
in 2001 in the US. Entrepreneurship education in colleges and universities has
expended over the last twenty years at undergraduate and graduate levels in Canada,
Europe (Kuratko 2003) and in Australia (Peterman and Kennedy 2003; Jones and

article it s the general audience, which explains the difference in length, tone and
jargon of each piece. For example, the exigence of the CNN article is to present the
discovery found in the research paper to the public in ways they would understand.
So the article changed the terminology of the piece, shortened its length so people
would be more like to read it and focused on the aspect that will most likely grab

focused on that aspect much more than the methods the scientists used. Thus, to get
the audience engaged in the discourse the rhetor needed to inform the audience and
