Ten tips for children staying safe online.

1. Always ask an adult to use the computer.

2. Make sure that your Mom or your Dad are
with you when you use the computer.

3. Do not give out any information to strangers online.
This includes:
-your name
-your address
-your phone number
-your school name
-your parent’s names
-your picture

4. Only give your email address to family and friends
that your Mom or Dad approve of.

5. If you aren’t sure what something is, ask your
Mom or Dad before clicking on it.

6. Do not give out your password to anyone online.

7. Don’t answer messages that make you feel
uncomfortable.

8. Never arrange to meet another computer user face to
face or even speak on the phone without permission
from your parents first.

9. Talk with your parents to set up rules for going online.
