INTERIM GUIDELINES FOR ASSESSMENT
AND GRADING IN LIGHT OF THE BASIC
EDUCATION LEARNING CONTINUITY
PLAN
This policy is grounded on the following
principles.
a. Assessment should be holistic and
authentic in capturing the attainment of the
most essential learning competencies;
b. Assessment is integral for understanding
student learning and development;
A variety of assessment strategies is
necessary, with formative assessment
taking priority to inform teaching and
promote growth and mastery;
d. Assessment and feedback should be a
shared responsibility among teachers,
learners, and their families; and
e. Assessment and grading should have a
positive impact on learning.

PER QUARTER EXCLUDING FORMATIVE

  • 1. INTERIM GUIDELINES FOR ASSESSMENT AND GRADING IN LIGHT OF THE BASIC EDUCATION LEARNING CONTINUITY PLAN
  • 2. This policy is grounded on the following principles. a. Assessment should be holistic and authentic in capturing the attainment of the most essential learning competencies; b. Assessment is integral for understanding student learning and development;
  • 3. A variety of assessment strategies is necessary, with formative assessment taking priority to inform teaching and promote growth and mastery; d. Assessment and feedback should be a shared responsibility among teachers, learners, and their families; and e. Assessment and grading should have a positive impact on learning.

  • 8. WRITTEN WORKS (40%) SUMMATIVE ASSESSMENT – MINIMUM OF 4 PER QUARTER EXCLUDING FORMATIVE ASSESSMENT IN BETWEEN. PREFERABLY 1 IN 2 WEEKS INTEGRATING 2 OR MORE COMPETENCIES
  • 9. PERFORMANCE TASK LANGUAGE/ AP/ESP/- 60% SCIENCE/MATH- 50% MAPEH/EPP/TLE-70% MINIMUM OF 4 PER QUARTER 2 TO 3 MINI-TASKS PRIOR TO 1 MAJOR TASK COULD BE PBL OR INTER- DISIPLINARY APPROACH AND WILL ADDRESS PERFORMANCE STANDARD
