Julia taught a wide range of students ranging from accelerated learning to maintstream including
integration students. Her lesson plans although based around the same content were targeted to
the abilities of the students and then when working individually with students she was able to
communicate at the appropriate level.

lessons.

Julia's planning incorporated safety concerns (very relevant to science teaching)and instructions to
students were given clearly at the beginning of each activity. These instructions were supported
with individual feedback where necessary. All practical work was researched and practiced before
class further ensuring student safety.

Julia collected a lot of material from students and was very quick in assessing and writing
appropriate comments on the work. This was then given back to the students where further
feedback was given if necessary. Record keeping was exceptional and Julia attended a full parent
teacher interview session and gave good feedback to both parents and students.

Mentor Teacher Comments
Julia has excellent organisational skills, prepares magnificently and prepares excellent lessons. She
uses a range of teaching techniques and communicates clearly with students. She has a pleasant, yet
professional approach with students and developed a good rapport with most students.
Julia developed a great relationship with many staff at our school, getting involved in many activities
that supported both students and staff. She was always looking for feedback but also was self-critical.
Julia kept great records and was able to give feedback to students quickly and accurately.
Julia is clearly ready to teach and will be a real asset to any school when she selects a position.
My students have benefited from Julia's teaching and I have really enjoyed working with her. Good
luck for your future and hopefully we will see you do some teaching at Reservoir High in the future.
