The document discusses integrating information and communication technology (ICT) into the new mathematics syllabus for years 7 to 10. It emphasizes that ICT should be embedded across all areas of the syllabus rather than taught as a separate subject. It also discusses several frameworks for transforming teaching and learning through digital pedagogy, including Bloom's Digital Taxonomy, TPCK, and the SAMR model. The SAMR model is presented as a way to illustrate how ICT can be integrated in mathematics at different levels, from substitution to modification to redefinition. General capabilities that students develop through ICT include investigating, creating, communicating, operating technology, and applying social and ethical protocols.
A Hidden Markov Model Approach to Predict Students' Actions in an Adaptive an...Simon Bolivar University
This paper demonstrates how Hidden Markov Model
(HMM) approach is used potentially as a tool for predicting the
next concepts visited by students in an Adaptive and Intelligent
Web-Based Educational System (AIWBES) for teaching English
as Foreign Language (EFL). This tool helps teachers to provide
their students with appropriate assistance during the learning
process in a timely manner. The prediction process is achieved
by following three phases, Initialization phase, adjustment phase
and prediction phase. The experiment results are encouraging
and serve to show the promise of HMM in AIWBESs and they
show accuracy in the next action prediction reaching up to 92%.

Y3 ICT and the Foundation Subjects - Lecture 1Miles Berry
How should teachers best develop ICT knowledge and understanding of ‘digital natives’?
Lecture: Intro to the module. What is ICT Capability? Current national curriculum developments. The relationship between computing, ICT and digital literacy. The myth(?) of the digital native. Embedded approaches – developing ICT capability through other subjects
Task: Plan a lesson within your foundation subject that demonstrably would develop pupils’ ICT capability.

Discover the Simplified Electron and Muon Model: A New Wave-Based Approach to Understanding Particles delves into a groundbreaking theory that presents electrons and muons as rotating soliton waves within oscillating spacetime. Geared towards students, researchers, and science buffs, this book breaks down complex ideas into simple explanations. It covers topics such as electron waves, temporal dynamics, and the implications of this model on particle physics. With clear illustrations and easy-to-follow explanations, readers will gain a new outlook on the universe's fundamental nature.
Acetabularia Information For Class 9 .docxvaibhavrinwa19
Acetabularia acetabulum is a single-celled green alga that in its vegetative state is morphologically differentiated into a basal rhizoid and an axially elongated stalk, which bears whorls of branching hairs. The single diploid nucleus resides in the rhizoid.
it describes the bony anatomy including the femoral head , acetabulum, labrum . also discusses the capsule , ligaments . muscle that act on the hip joint and the range of motion are outlined. factors affecting hip joint stability and weight transmission through the joint are summarized.
2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin

Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.
A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

MATATAG CURRICULUM: ASSESSING THE READINESS OF ELEM. PUBLIC SCHOOL TEACHERS I...NelTorrente
In this research, it concludes that while the readiness of teachers in Caloocan City to implement the MATATAG Curriculum is generally positive, targeted efforts in professional development, resource distribution, support networks, and comprehensive preparation can address the existing gaps and ensure successful curriculum implementation.

when they learn to:
• Investigate with ICT
• Create with ICT
• Communicate with ICT
• Operate ICT
• Apply appropriate social and ethical
protocols and practices to operate
and manage ICT.

23. PROGRAMMING FOR ICT INTEGRATION
• Select the best ICT “tool” to enable students to
demonstrate their understanding of the outcome
• There are thousands of ICT applications – you do not
need to be an expert in all of them! Learn and teach
the skills required for the programmed task.
• Facilitate students use of ICT and learning… then get
out of their creative way or better still, YOU might
learn something from them.
JenICT is one of the general capabilities in the Learning across the Curriculum content in the new syllabuses. It is hoped that by more closely embedding ICT in these new syllabuses, it will more closely align to meeting the learning needs and enhance the learning outcomes of 21st students today. The 19th Century assessment statement, for me, stands as is! Now all we need to do is work on assessment…

BelindaLove this – printed in the classroom for inspiration for myself and the students – reminder about the value of the tool the students are using -
BelindaIntroduction of ipads – is it all about the apps – what is it you actually want to do?Example: SlideShark – needed an app for presentingInstead of looking at the apps in front of you – what do you actually want to do?
BelindaTPACK – Technology Pedagogy Content and Knowledge.Need all of the together for effectively with technology.
Belinda:I use this to remind me whether the ICT activity I am doing with the students is the best activity – or is it worth doing at all.Substitution: Word processor replacing the typewriter – no cut and paste, no spell checker – just substitutionAugmentation: cut and paste, add images, spell checkModification: Instead of the word doc – excel doc- formulas and graphs – even email it instead of printing – increases productivityRedefinition: The technology completely redesigns the task. Before the document was created by one person – now it can be worked on collaboratively by others. Google Docs – add photos, videos – on multiple devices. Total redefinition.Other examples of Redefinition are creating videos, podcasts, video conferencing.
Belinda – ICT is EVERYWHERE – don’t limit – teach year 5 movies? Really?Don’t just pick the ICT tool that you are familiar with.Professional Development Is KeyProfessional development is perhaps the single largest factor in the success or failure of the digital school. To be effective, professional development needs to include administrators and take different forms depending on the needs of the school. The focus needs to be on curriculum integration, data-driven decision making, and capacity building.
