2. 1) Institution to formulate a clear policy on OER
creation, use, re-use, remix and re-purpose
2) Identify OER champions and create enthusiasm and
build competitive spirit between departments
3) Creating institution wide awareness on OER
4) OER Capacity Building: A detailed Plan for OER
capacity building to be endorsed by the top
management. The training areas will include:
i. Knowledge and understanding about concept of OER and its
development in the last decade
ii. Learn on the relevant tools for searching and identifying OER
materials including Learning Objects (LOs) to suit different
programme and course areas

3. iii. Knowledge about different open licences and
understanding and skills for using and remixing
OER/LOs
iv. Skills required for creating/adopting appropriate
learning designs in an OER based e-learning
environment.
5) To reward academics for creating and using OER in their
T&L
6) The Institution will provide appropriate ICT
infrastructure to enable staff and students to use OER in
its teaching and learning
7) Institutions shall adopt the CC license by Attribution,
Non-Commercial and Share Alike

4. 8) To develop an OER repository for the institution
to serve as excellent resource for academics as
well as students and the public
9) To collaborate with OER GLOBAL NETWORKS
in OER research
10) To source appropriate funding for OER, via
various models such as: (i) endowment; (ii)
membership; (iii) donation; (iv) conversion
model and (v) partnership and exchanges
