The document discusses plans for a music video that will focus on the singer through close-up shots from different angles as they sing and dance down the street. Choreography will be included in the background without detracting from the singer. Effects used in other music videos, like slow motion shots of the singer's lips syncing to the music in Coldplay's "Yellow" video, will also be experimented with to add depth and focus on the meaning of the song lyrics.

1. One of my favourite music videos is Conor Maynard's
"Can't Say No". This video focuses on the singer, using
close up shots from various angles to show him singing
and dancing as he walks around. By including these
shots we can see how much the lyrics of the song mean
to him, as if he is just thinking out loud and that the song
is his thoughts. I want the same feeling throughout my
video. I am going to use the same idea of following the
singer down the street as they sing, cutting to different
angles, different types of shot, full shots to get their
actions/dance moves in. I think this makes the audience
focus on the words of the song as they can see the
singer saying them and how the singer wants the song to
be reacted to by the way they dance to it.
2. As well as the small movements and actions that the
singer makes as they walk along singing, I would like to
include some choreography but without detracting away
from the singer so I have decided to do something
similar to that in "Chris Brown - Excuse Me Miss" where
the dancers follow the girl, dancing in the background
behind her, using dance moves that move forwards as
she walks. This way I can include the fun, dance
element, showing her passion for the song and enjoying
it, without making it into a dance video.
3. I definitely want to include and effect that is used in another of Coldplay's videos to "Yellow" in which the singer
moves in slow motion but his lips still move in time with the music. There are various other videos that include this
effect but yellow uses it continuously through out and is the most famous for it. This is something I think I know how
to do but I will need to experiment with the camera and with the movie software we will be using to put it together. I
think that this effect will make the singer look more into the song, as they take their time to think about what they're
saying, like they are deeper in thought.
