MACMILLANAnecdotesMaking Things Better for You!What is an anecdote?Anecdotes are tasks that prepare students for extended speaking and cover topics that all students will be able to relate to through personal experience. Students are first given a model and a series of questions to get them thinking about the topic. They are then given the opportunity to talk at length about the topic with a partner. At a later date the same anecdote is repeated normally with noticeable improvements in the level and fluency of the language used.
