Rationale:
Through the year that I’ve studied creative media I have learned to use different editing
software in different categories. All the projects I have done has helped me learn to what ill
put into my final project this year. The main parts of what I have learned will be used
between photoshop frame animation and premiere. My previous game animation will be my
main steppingstone to make my animated film short, this steppingstone will help me refine
not only my drawing techniques but also my animation techniques which hopefully ill be
able to produce a nice choppy and smooth animation.
Project Concept:
I’m going to make an animated short film about love. My ideas around love will be a couple
that has faced hardship and barriers through a long period of time, yet they still found ways
to show love through the little things. The animation will hopefully be somewhere between
2-5 minutes depending on the time I have. I’m going to have to research different styles for
animation and different ways that animators animate on things like love. Animation is not
easy so I will also research different ways to learn animation techniques especially on
software such as photoshop. I think the research will help my project because I can learn
how to produce a animation in my own style and hopefully it is good enough for this FMP
Project.
How will the project be evaluated and reviewed:
How I would evaluate my work would probably be by doing self-evaluations in diaries and
producing feedback for myself each week to work on for the next. This will help me to learn
on myself and to produce better work each time I reflect on my work.
