TrainSafety
Introduction of new technology such as OMRS.
Installing CCTV cameras at most of the station & inside
the coaches also.
Real time railway mapping using advance GPS
technology.
Anti-collision devices.
New&AdvanceCoaches
Double-decker coaches for distances taking 6-7 hours
and longer trains.
Redesigning of coaches for passengers’ comfort.
Design of high-capacity wagons.
Environment friendly Green Toilets on Indian Railways
passenger coaches.
Introduction of light-weight stainless steel coaches with
enhanced passenger carrying capacity.
Efficiency…
Introduction of new trains with regenerative braking
features saving up to 35-40% of the energy.
Use of Solar Energy.
Developing technique to produce energy from pressure
exerted on rails.
 Less time ticketing by introducing e-ticketing.
 Advertising on its websites, trains and at stations for collecting
more revenue n decreasing cost of travelling.
 Waste management, with the aim of achieving "near-zero
waste", by adopting the principle of 3-R’s - Reduction,
Recycle and Reuse.
 Mechanical cleaning of trains, stations and platforms with
requisite training to railway employees to use technology for
maximum recycling of water.
Ticketing n costing
Future
Increasing the speed of current trains upto 150-160 kmph.
Taking all new projects considering the future.
Modernizing the stations.
Producing most of the modern train parts in India.
