1. IN WHAT WAYS DOES YOUR MEDIA PRODUCT
USE, DEVELOP OR CHALLENGE FORMS AND
CONVENTIONS OF REAL MEDIA PRODUCTS?

2.  Throughout the production of my front cover, contents page
and double page spread I have used a continuous colour
scheme of pink. I have used this throughout all of my products
so that you can really tell that they belong to the same
magazine, so that my magazine maintains continuity and is
brought all together. I have used pink because my target
audience is mostly girls; also the artist that features in my
magazine is female too, so the pink reflects both of these. I
have chosen to put a picture of my artist on all three of my
products. This is so that you can clearly see that she is the
main feature of the magazine and this reinforces her
dominance and importance within the magazine spread. I
have done this because through research I have found out
that in is conventional to have your artist feature on all three of
the pages mentioned otherwise the article on the double page
spread wouldn’t make any sense in conjunction with the artist
on the front cover.

3.  I modeled my magazine products on billboard’s issue
featuring Miley Cyrus. I have used the conventions and
different aspects of that magazine to influence my
magazine designs.
 I like how there is a little boarder around some of the
information in this double page spread. It tells you who
the article is about, what it features and how has written
it. It is positioned in the top right hand corner of the
magazine spread so that it doesn’t distract from the rest
of the magazine too much. I have taken this under my
wing and used it in my double page spread. I again used
it in the top right hand corner of my magazine but I
edited so that on my double page spread the writing is
advertising a song that my artist has just brought out. I
did this so that my artist gets recognition for her
music, as she is new to the business.

4.  Also in my double page spread I have used the idea of
having a little pun, which is the first thing that you will
look at on the page. Billboard use the quote “Girl, you’ll
be a woman soon” this is telling you that the article will
be about how Miley is growing into a woman and gives a
little insight onto what the article will entail. I have also
used this idea. I have used the pun, “PRAISE, from
critics worldwide”. I have used this pun because
PRAISE is the name of my artist and by putting this pun
onto my magazine, I have shown the audience and
reader that this article will give a little insight onto the
new artists way of life now she is famous and shows
them that she is getting recognition.

5.  I have used the same style of photograph as
Billboard too. They have shot Miley sat lent against
a wall. They have done this to show the reader that
her attitude is changing and she is getting more
feisty and rebellious. I have used the same type of
shot for my magazine. I used it to show how my
artist is new and she has got the attitude of a
female singer. It shows that she is dominant and
even though she is new to the game, she is on top
of it and she is going to take over.

6.  I have used a similar design as
Billboard for my cover lines on
my front cover. Billboard use a
different colour headline above
the actual story that they're
advertising. This makes sure
that the cover lines catch
people's eyes when they look at
the magazine front cover. I have
also done this with my cover
lines. I have made it so that the
headline of each of my cover
lines is in a different colour and
different box. I have done this
because it makes them stand
out a lot more and catches the
readers eye. Also with the
research I have taken it is
conventional to do this.

7.  Billboard have used Miley's name in
big letters across the front cover.
They have done this so that you
know who is on the front of the
magazine and you can clearly tell
who the feature artist is. I have also
done this on my magazine. I have
used my artist's name and created a
fun and funky font that spans across
the main image of my front cover. I
have made the text a colour so that it
stands out against the background
and made it textured and embossed
so that it stands out even more. I
have done this so that people
walking by my magazine know who
my artist is and it may draw them in
to read it.
