Vector quantization (VQ) is a powerful technique in the field of digital image compression. The generalized
residual codebook is used to remove the distortion in the reconstructed image for further enhancing the quality of the
image. Already, Generalized Residual Vector Quantization (GRVQ) was optimized by Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO)
and Honey Bee Mating Optimization (HBMO). The performance of GRVQ was degraded due to instability in convergence
of the PSO algorithm when particle velocity is high and the performance of HBMO algorithm is depended on many
parameters which are required to tune for reducing size of codebook. So, in this paper the Artificial Plant Optimization
Algorithm (APOA) is used to optimize the parameters used in GRVQ. The Extensive experiment demonstrates that
proposed APOA-GRVQ algorithm outperforms than existing algorithm in terms of quantization accuracy and computation
accuracy.
ROLE OF HYBRID LEVEL SET IN FETAL CONTOUR EXTRACTIONsipij
Image processing technologies may be employed for quicker and accurate diagnosis in analysis and
feature extraction of medical images. Here, existing level set algorithm is modified and it is employed for
extracting contour of fetus in an image. In traditional approach, fetal parameters are extracted manually
from ultrasound images. An automatic technique is highly desirable to obtain fetal biometric measurements
due to some problems in traditional approach such as lack of consistency and accuracy. The proposed
approach utilizes global & local region information for fetal contour extraction from ultrasonic images.
The main goal of this research is to develop a new methodology to aid the analysis and feature extraction.
A Hybrid Chebyshev-ICA Image Fusion Method Based on Regional SaliencyTELKOMNIKA JOURNAL
An image fusion method that performs robustly for image sets heavily corrupted by noise is
presented in this paper. The approach combines the advantages of two state-of-the-art fusion techniques,
namely Independent Component Analysis (ICA) and Chebyshev Poly-nomial Analysis (CPA) fusion.
Fusion using ICA performs well in transferring the salient features of the input images into the composite
output, but its performance deteriorates severely under mild to moderate noise conditions. CPA fusion is
robust under severe noise conditions, but eliminates the high frequency information of the images
involved. We pro-pose to use ICA fusion within high activity image areas, identified by edges and strong
textured surfaces and CPA fusion in low activity areas identified by uniform background regions and weak
texture. A binary image map is used for selecting the appropriate method, which is constructed by a
standard edge detector followed by morphological operators. The results of the proposed approach are
very encouraging as far as joint fusion and denoising is concerned. The works presented may prove
beneficial for future image fusion tasks in real world applications such as surveillance, where noise is
heavily present.
Image Enhancement and Restoration by Image InpaintingIJERA Editor
Inpainting is the process of reconstructing lost or deteriorated part of images based on the background information. i. e .it fills the missing or damaged region in an image utilizing spatial information of its neighboring region. Inpainting algorithm have numerous applications. It is helpfully used for restoration of old films and object removal in digital photographs. The main goal of the algorithm is to modify the damaged region in an image in such a way that the inpainted region is undetectable to the ordinary observers who are not familiar with the original image. This proposed work presents image inpainting process for image enhancement and restoration by using structural, texture and exemplar techniques. This paper presents efficient algorithm that combines the advantages of these two approaches. We first note that exemplar-based texture synthesis contains the essential process required to replicate both texture and structure; the success of structure propagation, however, is highly dependent on the order in which the filling proceeds. We propose a best-first algorithm in which the confidence in the synthesized pixel values is propagated in a manner similar to the propagation of information in inpainting. The actual color values are computed using exemplar-based synthesis. Computational efficiency is achieved by a blockbased sampling process.
Performance analysis of contourlet based hyperspectral image fusion methodijitjournal
Recently, contourlet transform has been widely used in hyperspectral image fusion due to its advantages,
such as high directionality and anisotropy; and studies show that the contourlet-based fusion methods
perform better than the existing conventional methods including wavelet-based fusion methods. Few studies
have been done to comparatively analyze the performance of contourlet-based fusion methods;
furthermore, no research has been done to analyze the contourlet-based fusion methods by focusing on
their unique transform mechanisms. In addition, no research has focused on the original contourlet
transform and its upgraded versions. In this paper, we investigate three different kinds of contourlet
transform: i) original contourlet transform, ii) nonsubsampled contourlet transform, iii) contourlet
transform with sharp frequency localization. The latter two transforms were developed to overcome the
major drawbacks of the original contourlet transform; so it is necessary and beneficial to see how they
perform in the context of hyperspectral image fusion. The results of our comparative analysis show that the
latter two transforms perform better than the original contourlet transform in terms of increasing spatial
resolution and preserving spectral information.
Image segmentation is useful in many applications. It can identify the regions of interest in a scene or annotate
the data. It categorizes the existing segmentation algorithm into region-based segmentation, data clustering, and
edge-base segmentation. Region-based segmentation includes the seeded and unseeded region growing
algorithms, the JSEG, and the fast scanning algorithm. Due to the presence of speckle noise, segmentation of
Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) images is still a challenging problem. We proposed a fast SAR image
segmentation method based on Particle Swarm Optimization-Gravitational Search Algorithm (PSO-GSA). In
this method, threshold estimation is regarded as a search procedure that examinations for an appropriate value in
a continuous grayscale interval. Hence, PSO-GSA algorithm is familiarized to search for the optimal threshold.
Experimental results indicate that our method is superior to GA based, AFS based and ABC based methods in
terms of segmentation accuracy, segmentation time, and Thresholding.

Data Hiding Using Reversibly Designed Difference-Pair MethodIJERA Editor
There is no question that data hiding has increasingly drawn extensive attention recently. This report presents a data hiding technique based on the modification of image histogram. It is fully reversible, that means, the original cover image can be recovered from the marked image, after the hidden data has been extracted. In this work, a data hiding scheme using reversibly designed difference-pair method is presented. In comparison to the previous work, since only one pixel of a pixel-pair was allowed to be modified by 1 bit in value, their embedding capacity was low. The embedding algorithm should have higher embedding capacity as this was the major drawback. Therefore it was decided to work on an algorithm which can increase embedding capacity in reversible domain. Results achieved after the execution of algorithms were compared with the existed work to draw result oriented conclusion.

Abstract: Many applications such as robot navigation, defense, medical and remote sensing performvarious processing tasks, which can be performed more easily when all objects in different images of the same scene are combined into a single fused image. In this paper, we propose a fast and effective method for image fusion. The proposed method derives the intensity based variations that is large and small scale, from the source images. In this approach, guided filtering is employed for this extraction. Gaussian and Laplacian pyramidal approach is then used to fuse the different layers obtained. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method can obtain better performance for fusion of
all sets of images. The results clearly indicate the feasibility of the proposed approach.
Histogram Gabor Phase Pattern and Adaptive Binning Technique in Feature Selec...CSCJournals
The aim of this paper is to develop a robust system for face recognition by using Histogram Gabor Phase Pattern (HGPP) and adaptive binning technique. Gabor wavelet function is used for representing the features of the image both in frequency and orientation level. The huge feature space created by Gabor wavelet is classified by using adaptive binning technique. The unused bin spaces are used. As a result of which, the size of the space is drastically reduced and high quality HGPP created. It is due to this approach, the computation complexity and the time taken for the process is reduced and the recognition rate of the face improved. The significance of this system is its compatibility in yielding best results in the face recognition with major factors of a face image. The system is verified with FERET database and the results are compared with those of the existing methods.

MotionEstimation Technique forReal Time Compressed Video TransmissionIJERA Editor
Motion Estimation is one of the most critical modules in a typical digital video encoder. many implementation
tradeoffs should be considered while designing such a module. It candefine ME as a part of inter coding
technique.Inter coding refers to a mechanism of finding co-relation between two frames (stillimages), which are
not far away from each other as far as the order of occurrence is concerned, one frame is called the reference
frameand the other frame called the current frame, and then encoding the information which is a function of this
co-relation‟ instead of the frame itself. This paper focuses more on block matching algorithms which comes
under feature/region matching. Block motion estimation algorithms are widely adopted by video coding
standards, mainly due to their simplicity and good distortion performance In FS every candidate points will be
evaluated and more time will be taken for predicting the suitable motion vectors. based on the above noted
drawback, the above said adaptive pattern is proposed
Optimization is proposed at algorithm/code-level for both encoder and decoder to make it feasible to perform
real-time H.264/AVC video encoding/decoding on mobile device for mobile multimedia applications. For
encoder an improved motion estimation algorithm based on hexagonal pattern search is proposed exploiting the
temporal redundancy of a video sequence. For decoder, at code level memory access minimization scheme is
proposed and at algorithm level a fast interpolation scheme is proposed.
Defended Data Embedding For Chiseler Avoidance in Visible Cryptography by Usi...IOSR Journals
Abstract :This paper proposes a data-veiling technique for binate images in morphological transform domain
for authen- tication purpose. To attain blind watermark drawing, it is difficult to use the detail coordinate
precisely as location map to regulate the data-veiling locations. Thus, we look flipping an edge pixel in binate
images as deviating the edge location one pixel horizontally ,one vertically. Positioned on this conclusion, we
propose an interlaced morphological binate wavelet transform to path the alter edges, which thus ease blind
watermark drawing and fusion of cryptographic indication.Unlike current block-based approach, in that the
block size is given as 3 x 3 pixels and larger, we establish the image in 2 x 2 pixel blocks. It allows resilience in
discovering the edges and also gets the low computational complication. There are two case that twisting the
candidates of one do not change the flippability circumstances of other are engaged for orthogonal embedding,
that deliver more relevant candidates can be determined so that a larger quqntity can be accomplished.A
contemporary effective Backward-Forward Minimization method is suggested, which acknowledge the backward
i.e enclose candidates and forward those twisted candidates that may be concerned by spining the present
pixel. By this way, the complete visual bias can be minimized. Experimental results determine the validity of our
arguments.

Image hashing is an efficient way to handle digital data authentication problem. Image hashing represents quality summarization of image features in compact manner. In this paper, the modified center symmetric local binary pattern (CSLBP) image hashing algorithm is proposed. Unlike CSLBP 16 bin histogram, Modified CSLBP generates 8 bin histogram without compromise on quality to generate compact hash. It has been found that, uniform quantization on a histogram with more bin results in more precision loss. To overcome quantization loss, modified CSLBP generates the two histogram of a four bin. Uniform quantization on a 4 bin histogram results in less precision loss than a 16 bin histogram. The first generated histogram represents the nearest neighbours and second one is for the diagonal neighbours. To enhance quality in terms of discrimination power, different weight factor are used during histogram generation. For the nearest and the diagonal neighbours, two local weight factors are used. One is the Standard Deviation (SD) and other is the Laplacian of Gaussian (LoG). Standard deviation represents a spread of data which captures local variation from mean. LoG is a second order derivative edge detection operator which detects edges well in presence of noise. The proposed algorithm is resilient to the various kinds of attacks. The proposed method is tested on database having malicious and non-malicious images using benchmark like NHD and ROC which confirms theoretical analysis. The experimental results shows good performance of the proposed method for various attacks despite the short hash length.

A principal component analysis-based feature dimensionality reduction scheme ...TELKOMNIKA JOURNAL
In content-based image retrieval (CBIR) system, one approach of image representation is to employ combination of low-level visual features cascaded together into a flat vector. While this presents more descriptive information, it however poses serious challenges in terms of high dimensionality and high computational cost of feature extraction algorithms to deployment of CBIR on platforms (devices) with limited computational and storage resources. Hence, in this work a feature dimensionality reduction technique based on principal component analysis (PCA) is implemented. Each image in a database is indexed using 174-dimensional feature vector comprising of 54-dimensional colour moments (CM54), 32-bin HSV-histogram (HIST32), 48-dimensional gabor wavelet (GW48) and 40-dimensional wavelet moments (MW40). The PCA scheme was incorporated into a CBIR system that utilized the entire feature vector space. The k-largest eigenvalues that yielded a not more than 5% degradation in mean precision were retained for dimensionality reduction. Three image databases (DB10, DB20 and DB100) were used for testing. The result obtained showed that with 80% reduction in feature dimensions, tolerable loss of 3.45, 4.39 and 7.40% in mean precision value were achieved on DB10, DB20 and DB100.

CFD Simulation of By-pass Flow in a HRSG module by R&R Consult.pptxR&R Consult
CFD analysis is incredibly effective at solving mysteries and improving the performance of complex systems!
Here's a great example: At a large natural gas-fired power plant, where they use waste heat to generate steam and energy, they were puzzled that their boiler wasn't producing as much steam as expected.
R&R and Tetra Engineering Group Inc. were asked to solve the issue with reduced steam production.
An inspection had shown that a significant amount of hot flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes, where the heat was supposed to be transferred.
R&R Consult conducted a CFD analysis, which revealed that 6.3% of the flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes without transferring heat. The analysis also showed that the flue gas was instead being directed along the sides of the boiler and between the modules that were supposed to capture the heat. This was the cause of the reduced performance.
Based on our results, Tetra Engineering installed covering plates to reduce the bypass flow. This improved the boiler's performance and increased electricity production.
It is always satisfying when we can help solve complex challenges like this. Do your systems also need a check-up or optimization? Give us a call!
Work done in cooperation with James Malloy and David Moelling from Tetra Engineering.

The system will give an effective output for the VB.Net and SQL Server given as input to the system. The compiled java program given as input to the system, after scanning the program will generate different reports. The application generates the report for users. The admin can view and download the report of the data. The application deliver the excel format reports. Because, excel formatted reports is very easy to understand the income and expense of the college bus. This application is mainly develop for windows operating system users. In 2017, 73% of people enterprises are using windows operating system. So the application will easily install for all the windows operating system users. The application-developed size is very low. The application consumes very low space in disk. Therefore, the user can allocate very minimum local disk space for this application.
Cosmetic shop management system project report.pdfKamal Acharya
Buying new cosmetic products is difficult. It can even be scary for those who have sensitive skin and are prone to skin trouble. The information needed to alleviate this problem is on the back of each product, but it's thought to interpret those ingredient lists unless you have a background in chemistry.
Instead of buying and hoping for the best, we can use data science to help us predict which products may be good fits for us. It includes various function programs to do the above mentioned tasks.
Data file handling has been effectively used in the program.
The automated cosmetic shop management system should deal with the automation of general workflow and administration process of the shop. The main processes of the system focus on customer's request where the system is able to search the most appropriate products and deliver it to the customers. It should help the employees to quickly identify the list of cosmetic product that have reached the minimum quantity and also keep a track of expired date for each cosmetic product. It should help the employees to find the rack number in which the product is placed. It is also Faster and more efficient way.
Courier management system project report.pdfKamal Acharya
It is now-a-days very important for the people to send or receive articles like imported furniture, electronic items, gifts, business goods and the like. People depend vastly on different transport systems which mostly use the manual way of receiving and delivering the articles. There is no way to track the articles till they are received and there is no way to let the customer know what happened in transit, once he booked some articles. In such a situation, we need a system which completely computerizes the cargo activities including time to time tracking of the articles sent. This need is fulfilled by Courier Management System software which is online software for the cargo management people that enables them to receive the goods from a source and send them to a required destination and track their status from time to time.

Title: Improving Pixel-Based Change Detection
Accuracy Using an Object-Based Approach in
Multitemporal SAR Flood Images
Abstract—Most of existing change detection methods could be classified into three
groups, the traditional pixel-based changedetection (PBCD), the object-based
change detection (OBCD), and the hybrid change detection (HCD). Nevertheless,
both PBCD and OBCD have disadvantages, and classical HCD methods belong to
intuitive decision-level fusion schemes of PBCD and OBCD. There is no optimum
HCD method as of yet. Analyzing the complementarities of PBCD and OBCD
method, we propose a new unsupervised algorithm-level fusion scheme (UAFS-
HCD) in this paper to improve the accuracy of PBCD using spatial context
information through: 1) getting the preliminary change mask with PBCD at first to
estimate some parameters for OBCD; 2) deriving the unchanged area mask to
eliminate the areas without changes, reducing error amplification phenomenon of
OBCD; and 3) obtaining the final change mask by means of OBCD method.
Taking flood detection with multitemporal SAR data as an example, we compared
the new scheme with some classical methods, including PBCD, OBCD, and HCD
method and supervised manual trial-and-error procedure (MTEP). The
experimental results of flood detection showed that the new scheme was efficient
and robust, and its accuracy sometimes can even exceed MTEP.
