My visit in Greece on Comenius project
Hello! My name is Nelita and I am from Bulgaria. I live in the town of Kaspichan which is located near
the first Bulgarian capital – Pliska. I study in Panayot Volov School. It’s not a very big school but there are
a lot of activities to do. One of them is to participate in the Comenius project “History of our cuisine” in
which The United Kingdom, Croatia, Turkey, Spain, Italy, The Czech
Republic, Romania, Hungary and Greece are also involved. It gives me
the chance to meet different
people and cultures as well as to
practice my English.
On this project mobility that
lasted from 22nd
to 26th
April I
visited the school in the town of
Xanthi, Greece together with
three of my mates and three of my teachers. The Axion school
welcomed us with bread, olive oil and wine as is the custom and a
performance from their students. They showed us around the school and their classrooms and it was
very interesting to me to learn about their school life and learning process.
On the first day of our meeting every partner–country had their presentation in the beautiful school
library. After that there was an exhibition of
Lego robots
personally made
by the students.
Then a pleasant
surprise followed - we visited the archaeological museum in the city of
Avdera. Various artefacts were displayed there which brought us back to
ancient history. We learned a lot of interesting facts about them. Next we
visited the ancient Greek amphitheatre Fillipoi near the town of Kavala.
We were very excited to sit on the same
seats where ancient Greeks sat centuries
ago. In the evening we had dinner in “To
dromaki” restaurant where we had the
opportunity to taste Greek cuisine and try
delicious traditional dishes.
