This year the narrator had Christmas dinner at their granny's house with their parents instead of the whole lively family getting together due to difficulties. The granny is a lovely cook who uses a coal stove and clay pots to make traditional dishes like roast beef, cod, ham, cheese, and smoked meat for Christmas Eve dinner. The next day, the narrator and their parents went to their grandpa's house where they ate paella made by Uncle Alberto, who loves cooking, for Christmas lunch along with other relatives.

2. My family is very lively but it is too difficult
to stay together at Christmas. Because of
that, most of them were travelling
on Xmas Eve.

3. This year I had
dinner in my
granny's house
with my parents.
Granny is very
lovely and she
cooks very well.
She uses to cook
at Christmas roast
beef with
potatoes and cod
with sauce in her
clay pots.
She thought

better tan

4. This is my granny's kitchen. It is a coal stove
which nowadays are old fashioned. She makes
her delicatessens in this kitchen.

5. At Christmas Eve we ate ham, cheese and smoked meat, and
Granny cooked pate. After that we had many sweets (they
were cooked by Granny too, of course)

6. At Xmas morning my parents and me had our breakfast
and then we went to my grandpa's house. I met my
aunts and uncles there too.

7. Uncle Alberto loves
cooking and his
speciality is paella
so we ate paella and
shellfish on 25th
Dec. After that we
had sweets and
coffee.
