2. What is vector?
A vector is a quantity that has
both a magnitude and a
direction. Vector quantities are
important in the study of
motion. Some examples of
vector quantities include force,
velocity, acceleration,
displacement, and momentum.

Vectors are used in many branches of physics whenever there are quantities which have to
be described by both direction and magnitude .
4. As an example of the usage of vectors , the temperature of a certain medium is figure as
a scalar quantity , but when there is a decrease or an increase in the temperature of the
medium , this temperature is figure as a vector quantity .
For another example, consider the forces acting on a boat crossing a river. The boat’s
motor generates a force in one direction, and the current of the river generates a force
in another direction. Both forces are vectors. We must take both the magnitude and
direction of each force into account if we want to know where the boat will go.
5. The divergence theorem is know as Gauss’s theorem.
Gauss’s theorem is a theorem which relates the flux of
a vector field through a surface to the divergence of
the field in the volume enclosed.
6. This theorem is used in fields like mathematics in engineering and physics.
Inverse - Square Laws:
Any inverse-square law can be written in the form of differential form and an integral
form. Just like Gauss's law. For example, Gauss's law for gravity. It follows the inverse-
square Newton's law of universal gravitation.
