7. Salesforce Einstein Analytics is a product of Salesforce and a cloud-based platform. It is a
rebranded analytics tool formerly known as Wave Analytics. Einstein Analytics is used for
data exploration, visualization, and getting insights for business.
Salesforce Einstein Analytics gives deeper insights from large and complex data than pre-built
reports and dashboards in Salesforce CRM.
Reports and dashboards have limitations but with EA, we can import data from external
sources and Salesforce into datasets where analytics stores data

9. In EA, apps are nothing but a folder. Apps contains datasets, lenses and dashboards.
There are two types of App –
My Private App (which is accessible by logged-in user)
and shared app (which is accessible to users based on
the sharing applied).
Three ways to share the app:
• User
• Role
• Public Group

10. Einstein Analytics stores the data within the platform itself, where the dataflow can be flowed
from multiple sources, including local Salesforce platform, external Salesforce environment,
and other external data sources.
Ways to bring data in EA:
• .CSV File
• SF Objects (Dataflow or Recipe)
• External System via connector

11. When we explored the dataset and played around without our awareness, we open the dataset
as a new lens.
A lens is a view of a dataset, we can use it to explore the data and to get data insight.
We have options to explore the data in a lens as a chart or table, including using a special
query language called SAQL.

Dashboard designer provides different widgets and chart types to create user - interactive and
easy to understand dashboard.
