stop consuming a chemical.
• Substance that causes a change in an
organism's physiology or psychology.

• Mental confusion, memory and brain damage
• Lung disease
• Kidney damage
• heart disease
• high blood pressure
• Epilepsy
• diabetes

• Drugs can have short-term and long-term effects

Medical drugs
• Prescribed: Antibiotics, Strong painkillers.
• Non-Prescribed: Aspirin, Paracetamol, Cough medicine.
Recreational drugs
• Legal: Caffeine, Nicotine.
• Illegal: Ice drug, Cannabis, Heroin.
Performance enhancing
Anabolic steroids, androstenedione, human growth hormone,
erythropoietin, diuretics, creatine and.
Medical drugs
• Mild and sever problems
• Doze
• Resistance(antibiotics)

Insomnia, Anxiety, Weight Loss, Dependence and addiction,
Dehydration, Tremors, Increased heart rate and blood pressure,
Increased risk of stroke, heart attack, and cardiac arrhythmia.

• Males: Breast tissue development, Shrinking of the testiest,
Reduction in sperm production.
• Females: Deepening of the voice, Cessation of breast

neurotransmitters
• Increases the level of dopamine

• Heroin activates specific receptors in the brain called
mu-opioid
• They stimulate the release of the neurotransmitter
dopamine

Cocaine
• Cocaine blocks receptors for dopamine and serotonin,
effectively shutting off this normal cycling process.

Ice drug
• Methamphetamine dramatically increases the levels of
the hormone dopamine - by up to 1,000 times the
normal level

• Inhalation & exhalation of fumes
• Cigarette, shisha, ice, rizla weed etc.
• Each cigarette reduces 11min of life.
• Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in tobacco smoke are believed
to be responsible for the induction of cytochrome P450 (CYP)
1A1, CYP1A2 and possibly CYP2E1.
• Death of 7 million people / year .
• More than 70% of deaths from lung.
• Tobacco contains 4000 - 7,000chemicals (200 compounds)

Smoking is injurious to health Strict laws should be legislated to curb the drug trafficking into and across the country. Steps should take to reduce the easy access to drugs or, to say, drugs should not be accessible and easily available without a proper legal process and procedure.
