The document describes a project to design a system for finger writing in air using an Open CV library on an ARM platform. The proposed system uses a webcam, ARM microcontroller and display unit to capture finger movements or handwriting in front of the camera and display it on the screen in real-time. It analyzes the finger trajectories using Open CV and recognizes the patterns for display. The system is aimed at providing a more accessible way of digital writing compared to conventional methods.

An OCR (Optical Character Recognition) system which is a branch of computer vision and in turn a sub-class of Artificial Intelligence. Optical character recognition is the translation of optically scanned bitmaps of printed or hand-written text into audio output by using of Raspberry pi. OCRs developed for many world languages are already under efficient use. This method extracts moving object region by a mixture-of-Gaussians-based background subtraction method. A text localization and recognition are conducted to acquire text information. To automatically localize the text regions from the object, a text localization and Tesseract algorithm by learning gradient features of stroke orientations and distributions of edge pixels in an Adaboost model. Text characters in the localized text regions are then binaries and recognized by off-the-shelf optical character recognition software. The recognized text codes are output to blind users in speech. Performance of the proposed text localization algorithm. As the recognition process is completed, the character codes in the text file are processed using Raspberry pi device on which recognize character using Tesseract algorithm and python programming, the audio output is listed. At Present, theapplicationoftheIoT develops rapidly, but due to the special requirements of some applications, the existing technology cannot meet them very good. Much research work is doing to build IoT. Wi-Fi basedWirelessremote control has the features of high bandwidth and rate, non-line-transmission ability, large-scale data collection and high cost-effective, and it has the capability of video monitoring, which cannot be realized with RF. The research on Wi-Fi based remote control car has high practical significance to the development oftheInternetof Things. Based on the current research work ofapplicationsthe characteristics of Wi-Fi, this paper discusses controlling the car by using Wi-Fi module along with the conditions can be monitored through remote PC or Lap top which supports Wi-Fi technology. In PC or Lap top two tabs are present. In the first tab we can monitor the conditions and in the second tab four buttons are present to control the car in forward, back ward, left side and right side directions. This paper proposes an Embedded Ethernet which is nothing but a processor that is capable to communicate with the network. This helps in data acquisition and status monitoring with the help of standard LAN. Currently device with processor is widely used in industrial field. The Embedded Ethernet provides web access to distributed measurement/control systems and provides optimization for instrumentation, educational laboratories and home automation. However, a large number of devices don't have the network interface and the data from them cannot be transmitted in network. A design of ARM Processor based Embedded Ethernet interface is presented. In this design, data can be transmitted transparently through Ethernet interface unit to remote end desktop computer. By typing the IP address of LAN on the ARM9 board, the user gets sensor values on the PC screen at remote station. This provides the status of the devices at remote field. The user can also control the devices interfaced to the ARM9 Board by pressing the button displayed on the GUI of the remote Desktop PC.
Hierarchical Digital Twin of a Naval Power SystemKerry Sado
A hierarchical digital twin of a Naval DC power system has been developed and experimentally verified. Similar to other state-of-the-art digital twins, this technology creates a digital replica of the physical system executed in real-time or faster, which can modify hardware controls. However, its advantage stems from distributing computational efforts by utilizing a hierarchical structure composed of lower-level digital twin blocks and a higher-level system digital twin. Each digital twin block is associated with a physical subsystem of the hardware and communicates with a singular system digital twin, which creates a system-level response. By extracting information from each level of the hierarchy, power system controls of the hardware were reconfigured autonomously. This hierarchical digital twin development offers several advantages over other digital twins, particularly in the field of naval power systems. The hierarchical structure allows for greater computational efficiency and scalability while the ability to autonomously reconfigure hardware controls offers increased flexibility and responsiveness. The hierarchical decomposition and models utilized were well aligned with the physical twin, as indicated by the maximum deviations between the developed digital twin hierarchy and the hardware.
