Fly Delta iPad App Experience
Delta

An example of a very well designed, innovative and
highly useful app.

Delta Airlines has launched an entirely new iPad
experience this week called „Fly Delta‟. With everything
from the latest deals, a completely socially connected
experience, intelligent recommendations, localised
entertainment, flight check-ins, boarding passes and a
pretty cool „Glass Bottomed Jet‟ feature that shows your
exact position over a map.

It‟s all part of the plan to further improve the digital
experience that customers have with Delta, making it
easy and intuitive.
Superhero kids will fly on Virgin Atlantic
Virgin Atlantic
Virgin Atlantic launches global marketing campaign that
turns staff into superheroes with the slogan „Flying in
the Face of Ordinary‟.

It is not an ordinary airline ad with a deliberate dash of
X-Men in the commercial as it reveals the „secret powers‟
of children around the world who go on to harness those
unique talents in the service of Virgin Atlantic.
Skibrogues
Hertz
The season's most amazing new winter accessory has
turned out—for better or worse—to be a deviously clever
ad campaign in disguise.

The video below pitches SkiBrogues, a fascinating new ski
boot with an ingenious retractable ski. Once you‟re
directed to the website however, you‟ll see that the boots
are completely out of stock, and cannot be purchased at
all!

To your right then, you‟ll notice a skyscraper ad unit,
advertising ski packages from rental-car company Hertz.
This is all just a carefully orchestrated campaign to
promote the car rental company‟s winter rates for top ski
destinations.

This is likely to annoy some people, but the video is very
believable and the ad unit is relatively unassuming, that it
should make you smile! Very clever indeed.

Grandma
ZonaJobs

ZonaJobs, an online job search company in Argentina,
has launched “Abuela”, a television advertising campaign
featuring a grandma who returns from the dead, time
and time again, only to die another spectacular death
each time.

It's about finally putting that tired excuse about your
poor grandmother away because you can find a job you
actually want to go to.

A funny ad for job hunting website.
TrackMyMacca‟s
McDonalds

Given the recent horse meat controversy, this is a fitting
campaign idea, albeit in a different country.
McDonald's have launched a new app called
„TrackMyMacca's‟. The world first for McDonald's takes
Australians 'behind the scenes' while they're in the
McDonald‟s restaurant, showing them where their food
has come from, and informing them about the local
suppliers used.

This app uses technology that accesses McDonald‟s
supply-chain and augmented reality to deliver interactive
information about McDonald‟s food. It‟s a nice way to get
customers to interact with the brand and to let them find
out more about the produce used in their meals.
