Game Title Bulletstorm 00:00-01:50 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MsI9xSgkjLY
Provide detailed descriptions from chosen examples that establish… Clearly state what production technique(s) you think have
been used to create specific soundtrack elements
Setting At the beginning there sounds like there is a ship and then a man panicking there is
also a man talking and another one sounding drunk. After that a gun click and
menacing music, a burp, a door opening, a shot and a bottle breaking, someone
being hit and a scream.
To make the gun sound they could have used a
real gun. The actors used a door for the smashing
bottle they could have used the computer or
smashed a bottle
Mood Frightening for the man who sounds distressed and evil for the people tormenting
him.
The music is telling us this and the way the people
are speaking. They could have done this by using
a studio to record the voices of the actors and a
small orchestra for the music
Game genre Action you can tell that it is an action as you can hire sounds of a rocket and a man
panicking. We can also tell that the man panicking is about to be shot but does not
They could have made this effect by making hard
strokes on the violin that is being played or the
fact that there is a panicking man and another
man threatening him
Narrative The game is telling something wicked is about to happen as the sound gets more
and more tens as the seen goes on.
To do this they could have had a small orchestra
or they could have their own sounds and put
them together using something like rapier
