Setting

Small interrogation room. The sounds are quite confined meaning the scene is set in
a small room where there is not much room for the sound waves to bounce around.
The confined and tight nature of the dialogue shown in the scene makes it clear it is
set in a small room.

Mood

Dark, sad, tragic. Different type of music is used for example in the beginning the
music is slow and calm with a sadness to it. As the scene plays the music changes to
thrilling, loud and action like.

Game genre

been used to create specific soundtrack elements

Recording equipment was set to directional while
recording.
The voices were recorded in a small room to
create the realistic effect.

The music is soundtracks and songs pre rendered
and not an orchestra performing to a mic. This
makes the music very clear. The volume has been
altered to go from nothing, to fading in on a very
low volume to louder which creates the mood of
panic.

Sci-Fi, super heroes
The dialogue makes it very clear that the game is about DC superheroes. Dialogue
like Batman saying ‘’Superman, no!’’ and super man saying ‘’you made me, Lois, my
son’’ make it obvious the game is a DC comic game set in Metropolis.

The sounds used are farely realistic and do not
make it sound like a science fiction scene however
references made to character names make it
obvious that the scene is set in a science fiction
world with superheroes in the scene.

The story (using only sound) is told by the use of different types of music and
dialogues. The scene is set in a small room and there seems to be an interrogation
going on. The names used by the characters themselves in the dialogue indicate the
interrogation is between Batman and the Joker about a nuke and where the Joker
got it from. Until, there is a sound of a brick wall being shattered and a new
character enters the scene. The identity of this character is not revealed until Joker
uses his name while in dialogue. This character seems to be very angry with the
