Story idea – what are you going to be telling?
1. Story idea - Someone is being followed by their own thoughts. Every time the person turns around some new emotion
appears, as the person walks faster and looks behind another emotion appears, until its get to much they are walking faster
than the person, they are getting closer there is more of them, they are outnumbered, until it is too much the fear is too
strong and their hearts beating too fast, until it gets too much and they scream. It’s over everything has gone. until next time.
Location – a field, it will be set in present time
Character ideas – there will be one main person who will be the main focus of the short film, while there will also be other
characters, however their identity is irrelevant and is a metaphorical importance rather than a importance of who they are.
Effect ideas – effects will be left little and only having a key focus on lighting, of the dark light and using the street lights
present at the location, for effect.
Sound ideas – sound will be key to help build the tension of the scene, and represent the equilibrium of the short film, as
they person walks its quite apart from their own music which is played from their ear phones, until they begin to hear
footsteps, they pause their music and turn around and the back-ground music, which will be non-diegetic, and purely to
create an affect.
Tension ideas –
Time
Suspense
The tension I want to create is, an Idea In which everything is okay, and suddenly things
began to go wrong, everything’s not right until it’s too much and the tension drops
leaving viewers feeling breathless.
