• Information and Communication tools are
those equipment that make it possible for us
to process data into information.
• Eg.. Radio , television, video system , fax
machines, mobile phones, printers, scanners
and camcorders.
• Television sets connected to internet
equipment are called WebTV. – They allow
us access the internet and get our education
information.
• Mobile phones called smart phones allow us
to send and receive messages on the
internet.

PROJECT WORK 1
Use any ICT tools available to you, to research on a topic in any
of the following areas :
• Science
• History
• Games
• Sports
• Animals
• Social Studies
• Arts
• In your ICT Exercise books
• Not more than 300 words
• Diagrams and schematic drawings will attract more marks.
• Submission date: 13th October 2017
[30 marks]
SHARING INFORMATION USING ICT TOOLS.
COMPUTER – When the computer is connected to the
internet, information can be accessed and shared via E-mail,
WhatsApp or printed out using an address on a website.
Mobile Phone – Information can be shared through calling,
sending text messages, using internet facilities on the
mobile phone to download or send information.
A Smart Phone is simply a mobile phone with internet
capability.
The television and the radio are also used to share ideas. A
digital TV can record an educational programme such as
quizzes, news and drama for future viewing.
