This document discusses internet-based testing (IBT) and computer-based testing (CBT) as forms of assessment. 2. IBT or Internet Based Testing is a form of competence, skill or knowledge
assessment through computer or internet. Another form of IBT is Web Based
Testing. It assesses one’s competence skill or knowledge trough website.

3. CBT (Computer Based Testing)  a form of assessment or test which is
carried out through electronic devices.
Other experts prefer using the term CALT (Computer Assisted Language
Testing).

4. ICT in Language testing has a number of positive characteristics :
1. More frequent use formative and summative test or assessment
2. Test/assessment result is more quickly distributed to teachers
3. It provides opportunities for students to test personally by the time they
ready
4. It is able to increase students’ self esteem
5. The result is known faster

Drupal 6 is a PHP-based Content Management System (CMS). It can also be
downloaded freely because it is open source. Drupal has a vast potential in
various field. Here are some Drupal’s usability:

8. Drupal can be developed for education with varios features. However, at this
early stage we limit the field of study by trying out Drupal for IBT. Generally,
Drupal based IBT offers functionality.
The outline of IBT application is stated as follow:
1. Administrator provided IBT, students’ username and password, and polls.
2. Students visited “hartoyomedia.000space.com”
3. Students logged in to the website using username and password given.
4. Students did the quiz.
5. Students filled out on-line polls after they have finished doing the quiz.
6. Students updated students account and change students password for
security reason.
7. Administrator managed IBT result and polls.
