2. What is IC ?
 Stands For : Integrated Circuit
 Integrated means to unify , to arrange
the whole in a compact size.
 Integrated Circuit is also called Chip.

3. TYPES OF ICs
 Basically ICs are of three types. They
are Digital IC , Analog IC and Mixed IC.
 ICs , where both digital and analog
systems are active are called mixed
types of Ics.

4. IC Fabrication
 Fabrication means manufacturing an IC.
 According to the fabrication techniques,
ICs can be parted in two types..
 Monolithic IC and DIP

5. Moore`s Law
 In the fabrication of ICs , a law called
Moore`s law is followed.
 According to Moore`s law, silicon
wafers get increased twice after two
years in the same area.

6. WHAT IS SENSOR
 Sensor is an electronic system that
senses.
 If we have to read any parameter , we
use sensors.

7. TYPES OF SENSORS
 Sensors are of various types..
 They are , touch sensor, heat sensor, IR
sensor, Bio Sensor, Sound Sensor , Gas
sensor etc.

8. SENSOR MAKING
 Sensors can be made in various ways.
 We can make different sensors for our
purposes.

9. Sensors using ICs
 We can make sensors with the help of
different ICs.
 Various microcontrollers (AVR, PIC etc.) ,
and timer ICs are used to make various
sensors.

10. Applications In Daily Life
 ICs are widely used in various circuits.
Like, 555 timer is used in a huge field. In
any complicated circuit, controllers are
must.
 In our daily life, sensors also have a
great deal. Like gas sensors, water level
sensors etc.
