The author looked through film magazine Empire to find reviews of films similar to their project genre of crime/action thriller in order to learn what to include and avoid. They reviewed Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows and The Dark Knight Rises, both crime genre direct sequels that had to live up to the original films. The reviews discussed how the sequels made their films bigger and better, providing advice the author could apply to their own project.

I looked through.
I did this to look at filmreviews of the same genre as my
project to find out what I should avoid and what I should try
to include in my project. In the first magazine on the left I
looked at a review of the film; Sherlock Holmes: A game of
Shadows. This filmis a crime genre film which is the same
genre that I want to achieve.
The magazine on the right I looked at a film review of; The Dark
Knight Rises. This is a /Action/thriller/crime film. A similarity
between these two articles is they are both on films that are a
direct sequel to their predecessor. They both had the challenge of
coming after an already well received film. So the majority of the
