SLIDING CONTROLLER DESIGN FOR THE GLOBAL CHAOS SYNCHRONIZATION OF IDENTICAL H...ijait
This paper establishes new results for the sliding controller design for the global chaos synchronization of identical hyperchaotic Yujun systems (2010). Hyperchaotic systems are chaotic nonlinear systems having more than one positive Lyapunov exponent. Because of the complex dynamics properties of hyperchaotic system such as high capacity, high security and high efficiency, they are very useful in secure
communication devices and data encryption. Using sliding mode control theory and Lyapunov stability theory, a general result has been obtained for the global chaos synchronization of identical chaotic nonlinear systems. As an application of this general result, this paper designs a sliding controller for the
global chaos synchronization of hyperchaotic Yujun systems. Numerical results and simulations are shown to validate the proposed sliding controller design and demonstrate its effectiveness in achieving global chaos synchronization of hyperchaotic Yujun systems.
Simultaneous State and Actuator Fault Estimation With Fuzzy Descriptor PMID a...Waqas Tariq
In this paper, Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy descriptor proportional multiple-integral derivative (PMID) and Proportional-Derivative (PD) observer methods that can estimate the system states and actuator faults simultaneously are proposed. T-S fuzzy model is obtained by linearsing satellite/spacecraft attitude dynamics at suitable operating points. For fault estimation, actuator fault is introduced as state vector to develop augmented descriptor system and robust fuzzy PMID and PD observers are developed. Stability analysis is performed using Lyapunov direct method. The convergence conditions of state estimation error are formulated in the form of LMI (linear matrix inequality). Derivative gain, obtained using singular value decomposition of descriptor state matrix (E), gives more design degrees of freedom together with proportional and integral gains obtained from LMI. Simulation study is performed for our proposed methods.
Sliding mode control-based system for the two-link robot armIJECEIAES
In this research, the author presents the model of the two-link robot arm and its dynamic equations. Based on these dynamic equations, the author builds the sliding mode controller for each joint of the robot. The tasks of the controllers are controlling the Torque in each Joint of the robot in order that the angle coordinates of each link coincide with the desired values. The proposed algorithm and robot model are built on Matlab-Simulink to investigate the system quality. The results show that the quality of the control system is very high: the response angles of each link quickly reach the desired values, and the static error equal to zero.

Modified Projective Synchronization of Chaotic Systems with Noise Disturbance,...IJECEIAES
The synchronization problem of chaotic systems using active modified projective non- linear control method is rarely addressed. Thus the concentration of this study is to derive a modified projective controller to synchronize the two chaotic systems. Since, the parameter of the master and follower systems are considered known, so active methods are employed instead of adaptive methods. The validity of the proposed controller is studied by means of the Lyapunov stability theorem. Furthermore, some numerical simulations are shown to verify the validity of the theoretical discussions. The results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method in both speed and accuracy points of views.
HYBRID CHAOS SYNCHRONIZATION OF UNCERTAIN LORENZ-STENFLO AND QI 4-D CHAOTIC S...IJITCA Journal
This paper investigates the hybrid chaos synchronization of uncertain 4-D chaotic systems, viz. identical Lorenz-Stenflo (LS) systems (Stenflo, 2001), identical Qi systems (Qi, Chen and Du, 2005) and nonidentical
LS and Qi systems. In hybrid chaos synchronization of master and slave systems, the odd states of the two systems are completely synchronized, while the even states of the two systems are antisynchronized so that complete synchronization (CS) and anti-synchronization (AS) co-exist in the
synchronization of the two systems. In this paper, we shall assume that the parameters of both master and slave systems are unknown and we devise adaptive control schemes for the hybrid chaos synchronization using the estimates of parameters for both master and slave systems. Our adaptive synchronization schemes derived in this paper are established using Lyapunov stability theory. Since the Lyapunov exponents are not required for these calculations, the adaptive control method is very effective and convenient to achieve hybrid synchronization of identical and non-identical LS and Qi systems. Numerical simulations are shown to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed adaptivesynchronization schemes for the identical and non-identical uncertain LS and Qi 4-D chaotic systems.
ENHANCEMENT OF STATIC & DYNAMIC RESPONSE OF THE THREE PHASE INDUCTION MOTOR U...IAEME Publication
Agriculture, which used to be the mainstay of the economy of the Niger Delta region of Nigeria, was abandoned because of the discovery of oil in the 1950s. Oil exploration has, however, left a trail of sorrow as a result of environmental pollution. There is now a new awakening in the realization that oil is not a renewable resource an d, hence, effort needs to be diverted to revitalize the agricultural sector. Farmers in this region rely entirely on rain-fed cropping. Since this area is characterized by distinct dry and wet seasons, cropping activities are scewed towards the wet season, thus resulting in subsistence level of production. Supplemental irrigation has been advocated as a way forward, but the soil moisture status dictates when to irrigate, and how much irrigation water to apply. This study therefore investigated the mathematical relationship between soil moisture and groundwater level in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria. Soil moisture contents and groundwater levels from shallow wells were measured on a bi-monthly basis in 2013. The data were then subjected to regression analysis. The result showed a simple linear relationship between soil moisture and groundwater level. With this regression equation, it is now possible for farmers in this region to determine the moisture status of the soil just by measuring the level of water in their shallow wells. This is an invaluable tool in irrigation scheduling.

This paper deals with a new research problem in the chaos literature, viz. hybrid synchronization of a
pair of chaotic systems called the master and slave systems. In the hybrid synchronization design of
master and slave systems, one part of the systems, viz. their odd states, are completely synchronized (CS),

hyperchaotic Zheng systems (2010) and hyperchaotic Yu systems (2012). The main results of this hybrid
synchronization research work have been proved using Lyapunov stability theory. Numerical examples of
the hybrid synchronization results are shown along with MATLAB simulations for the hyperchaotic

LMI based antiswing adaptive controller for uncertain overhead cranes IJECEIAES
This paper proposes an adaptive anti-sway controller for uncertain overhead cranes. The state-space model of the 2D overhead crane with the system parameter uncertainties is shown firstly. Next, the adaptive controller which can adapt with the system uncertainties and input disturbances is established. The proposed controller has ability to move the trolley to the destination in short time and with small oscillation of the load despite the effect of the uncertainties and disturbances. Moreover, the controller has simple structure so it is easy to execute. Also, the stability of the closed-loop system is analytically proven. The proposed algorithm is verified by using Matlab/ Simulink simulation tool. The simulation results show that the presented controller gives better performances (i.e., fast transient response, no ripple, and low swing angle) than the state feedback controller when there exist system parameter variations as well as input disturbances.

This paper deals with a comparative study of circle criterion based nonlinear observer and H∞ observer for induction motor (IM) drive. The advantage of the circle criterion approach for nonlinear observer design is that it directly handles the nonlinearities of the system with less restriction conditions in contrast of the other methods which attempt to eliminate them. However the H∞ observer guaranteed the stability taking into account disturbance and noise attenuation. Linear matrix inequality (LMI) optimization approach is used to compute the gains matrices for the two observers. The simulation results show the superiority of H∞ observer in the sense that it can achieve convergence to the true state, despite the nonlinearity of model and the presence of disturbance.
On tracking control problem for polysolenoid motor model predictive approach IJECEIAES
The Polysolenoid Linear Motor (PLM) have been playing a crucial role in many industrial aspects due to its functions, in which a straight motion is provided directly without mediate mechanical actuators. Recently, with several commons on mathematic model, some control methods for PLM based on Rotational Motor have been applied, but position, velocity and current constraints which are important in real systems have been ignored. In this paper, position tracking control problem for PLM was considered under state-independent disturbances via min-max model predictive control. The proposed controller forces tracking position errors converge to small region of origin and satisfies state including position, velocity and currents constraints. Further, a numerical simulation was implemented to validate the performance of the proposed controller.
Hierarchical robust fuzzy sliding mode control for a class of simo under-actu...TELKOMNIKA JOURNAL
The development of the algorithms for single input multi output (SIMO) under-actuated systems with mismatched uncertainties is important. Hierarchical sliding-mode controller (HSMC) has been successfully employed to control SIMO under-actuated systems with mismatched uncertainties in a hierarchical manner with the use of sliding mode control. However, in such a control scheme, the chattering phenomenon is its main disadvantage. To overcome the above disadvantage, in this paper, a new compound control scheme is proposed for SIMO under-actuated based on HSMC and fuzzy logic control (FLC). By using the HSMC approach, a sliding control law is derived so as to guarantee the stability and robustness under various environments. The FLC as the second controller completely removes the chattering signal caused by the sign function in the sliding control law. The results are verified through theoretical proof and simulation software of MATLAB through two systems Pendubot and series double inverted pendulum.
A hybrid bacterial foraging and modified particle swarm optimization for mode...IJECEIAES
This paper study the model reduction procedures used for the reduction of large-scale dynamic models into a smaller one through some sort of differential and algebraic equations. A confirmed relevance between these two models exists, and it shows same characteristics under study. These reduction procedures are generally utilized for mitigating computational complexity, facilitating system analysis, and thence reducing time and costs. This paper comes out with a study showing the impact of the consolidation between the Bacterial-Foraging (BF) and Modified particle swarm optimization (MPSO) for the reduced order model (ROM). The proposed hybrid algorithm (BF-MPSO) is comprehensively compared with the BF and MPSO algorithms; a comparison is also made with selected existing techniques.
This paper presents synchronization of a new autonomous hyperchaotic system. The generalized
backstepping technique is applied to achieve hyperchaos synchronization for the two new hyperchaotic
systems. Generalized backstepping method is similarity to backstepping. Backstepping method is used only
to strictly feedback systems but generalized backstepping method expands this class. Numerical simulations
are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the synchronization schemes.

Chaos synchronization in a 6-D hyperchaotic system with self-excited attractorTELKOMNIKA JOURNAL
This paper presented stability application for chaos synchronization using a 6-D hyperchaotic system of different controllers and two tools: Lyapunov stability theory and Linearization methods. Synchronization methods based on nonlinear control strategy is used. The selecting controller's methods have been modified by applying complete synchronization. The Linearization methods can achieve convergence according to the of complete synchronization. Numerical simulations are carried out by using MATLAB to validate the effectiveness of the analytical technique.
Stability by assigning structures by applying the multivariable subspace iden...TELKOMNIKA JOURNAL
In this paper, a controller for a doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) connected to a wind system is proposed. This control assigning its own structures as an optimal control method, the electric model in the DFIG state space is also shown, for which it is expected to estimate a linear model through the subspace technique and thus to design the controller. It will be possible to show that a structure assignment controller is undoubtedly a good option for the control of multivariable systems. The results of the output signals will be analyzed when applying the controller, assigning their own structures, which will allow us to observe that the response and disturbance times are below two tenths of a second.
The Polysolenoid Linear Motor (PLM) have been playing a crucial role in many industrial aspects because it provides a straight motion directly without mediate mechanical actuators. Some control methods for PLM based on Rotational Motor are applied to obtain several good performances, but position and velocity constraints which are important in real systems are ignored. In this paper, we analysis control problem of tracking position in PLM under state-independent disturbances via min-max model predictive control. The proposed controller brings tracking position error converge to zero and satisfies state including position and velocity and input constraints. The simulation results validity a good efficiency of the proposed controller.
In this paper, the tracking control scheme is presented using the framework of finite-time sliding mode control (SMC) law and high-gain observer for disturbed/uncertain multi-motor driving systems under the consideration multi-output systems. The convergence time of sliding mode control is estimated in connection with linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). The input state stability (ISS) of proposed controller was analyzed by Lyapunov stability theory. Finally, the extensive simulation results are given to validate the advantages of proposed control design.
Design of State Estimator for a Class of Generalized Chaotic Systemsijtsrd
In this paper, a class of generalized chaotic systems is considered and the state observation problem of such a system is investigated. Based on the time domain approach with differential inequality, a simple state estimator for such generalized chaotic systems is developed to guarantee the global exponential stability of the resulting error system. Besides, the guaranteed exponential decay rate can be correctly estimated. Finally, several numerical simulations are given to show the effectiveness of the obtained result. Hardware-in-the-loop based comparative analysis of speed controllers for a tw...journalBEEI
A comparative study of speed control performance of an induction motor drive system connecting to a load via a non-rigid shaft. The nonrigidity of the coupling is represented by stiffness and damping coefficients deteriorating speed regulating operations of the system and can be regarded as a two-mass system. In the paper, the ability of flatness based and backstepping controls in control the two-mass system is verified through comprehensive hardware-in-the-loop experiments and with the assumption of ideal stator current loop performance. Step-by-step control design procedures are given, in addition, system responses with classical PID control are also provided for parallel comparisons.
Feedback linearization and Backstepping controllers for Coupled Tanksieijjournal
This paper investigates the usage of some sophisticated and advanced nonlinear control algorithms inorder
to control a nonlinear Coupled Tanks System. The first control procedure is called the
Feedbacklinearisation control (FLC), this type of control has been found a successful in achieving a global
exponentialasymptotic stability, with very short time response, no significant overshooting is recordedand with a negligible norm of the error. The second control procedure is the approaches of Backsteppingcontrol (BC) which is a recursive procedure that interlaces the choice of a Lyapunov functionwith the design of feedback control, from simulation results it shown that this method preserves tracking, robust control and it can often solve stabilization problems with less restrictive conditions may beencountered in other methods. Finally both of the proposed control schemes guarantee theasymptoticstability of the closed loop system meeting trajectory tracking objectives
