Tomohiro Fujisaki (NTT)
• Introduce NTT IPv6 Services, including IPv6
Internet Access Platform, IPoE, PPPoE, and IPTV.
• Introduce IPv6 deployment issues in NTT,
including Last mile implementation, transition of
existing IPv4 users, and applications related
issues.
• In summary, NTT Group has been implementing
IPv6 widely.

6. Current Chunghwa Telecom Status
presented by Chia-Wei Tseng (CHT)
• Introduce the current status of CHT IPv6
deployment.
• Introduce IPv6 Testing Service in CHT-TL.
• Introduce CHT IPv6 Milestones, in which
PWLAN and LTE IPv6 trial run in 2017, and 4G
LTE plans to IPv6 commercial service in 2018.

7. Current Vietnam Status presented by
Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy (VNNIC)
• Introduce Vietnam national IPv6 action plan, in
which 2016 to 2019 is in the accomplishment
phase.
• Introduce IPv6 promotion activities, for
example VNNIC IP Member Meeting, VNIX-NOG,
press and training.
• IPv6 traffic and users are rapidly growing as
long as ISPs provide IPv6 services to customers.
• Vietnam has IPv6 promotion policies on Legal
document.

8. Current India Status presented by
Ajai Kumar (Mumbai IX)
• The IPv6 capable of the user availability is around
50%.
• Reliance Jio is running on IPv6 from its first day
and 100 million plus LTE customers are on IPv6.
• Internet Exchange Points, NIXI and Mumbai IX,
running on Dual Stack.
• There are many IPv6 awareness programme, for
example Hands-on training and seminar.

Geng-Da Tsai (TWNIC)
• Updated the status of the IPv6 upgrade in
Taiwan’s government, Academia, and ISPs.
• Updated the status of 3 common
measurement criteria: IPv6 allocation and BGP
advertisement , User Availability, Service
Availability.

12. Observation of Service Availability
• The average of IPv6 service availability in August, 2017 has
arrived at 13.28%, the annual growth rate is 0.34%. Japan
and South Korea have the larger growth rates.

13. Observation of User Availability
• The average of IPv6 user availability in the end of August,
2017 has arrived at 10.98%, growth of 4% in 2017. India
jumped to 50.46%.

14. Conclusion

• The growth rate in the criteria of the user
availability shows that most Asia Pacific
countries made big progress in the IPv6
deployment.
• More than 30 organizations have given
presentation in previous meetings. We will
continually invite more ccTLD registries to
participate in the future BoF meetings.
• Different methodologies and criteria of
readiness measurement are very welcome.
