1. Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product? Looking back at my preliminary task, I feel I have learnt that the layout & colour scheme will differ depending on who the target audience is. To take the audience into consideration when writing up the content for a magazine. For the school magazine I had to write formally as my target audience included the parents as well as the students. This differs from my main task because the final product was less formal due to my chosen target audience.
2. Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product? In the preliminary task, for the contents page I didn't take much consideration to the layout and i found myself a bit stuck not knowing how to lay the information out; whereas for my final contents page I researched existing music magazine contents pages. To make it easier for myself I followed the layout of the Vibe magazine contents page. The end result was more professional and aesthetically pleasing compared to the preliminary task contents page.
3. Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product? Since my preliminary task I have learned how to edit images better rather than just sticking to a simple black and white effect i can change the contrast or sharpen the image or even use the history brush to add colour to parts of the image. I learnt about positioning aspects of the magazine such as the magazine title and the cover stories, barcode, and the plus feature to make the magazine cover look less tacky and more professional and to look more like an actual existing magazine.
