I chose to use this image which is a mid shot
because I hadn’t included any like this so far. I asked
my models to pose back to back and have their angle
of gaze not directly into the camera as it gives them
a mysterious element. This photo is different to my
front cover image and all the images of my main artist
I am going to use. They’re mainly in black and have a
black background which fits well with my genre as
dark colours are often used and one of the main
conventions. Their outfits relate to Alternative Rock
fashion because it’s all dark but on one artist there is
a small amount of plaid which is a common style.

I decided to include a small image of the
main artist featured included in my magazine
because I want my readers to know she’s
important. However I chose not to make her
the main image because I do want to focus
on other features of my magazine, such as
the other artists. I chose to use this image as
it is different to the front cover image
because she’s sat down and is wearing a
slightly different outfit too.

3. IMAGE 3
This is an image I took at an All Time Low
concert and I’ve chose to include it on my
contents page because it relates well to my
magazine. I chose to use this specific image
because there aren’t many bright colours which
means it fits better with my genre as well as
colour scheme, also I’m including an article on
my contents page about All Time Low so this
works really well. The main reason it fits well is
because this is a music magazine and a concert
directly links to this.

because I’ve got a feature
where there’s a competition to
win headphones so I took a
picture of these ones to use
for that.
