Expanding your Data Center with Hybrid Cloud InfrastructureAmazon Web Services
Cloud is a new common for the Hybrid IT strategies. In this session, we will explain what’s different between cloud and your datacenter as well as how to make your Hybrid Cloud strategies
ABSTRACT
Software industry is heading towards centralized computing. Due to this trend data and programs are being taken away from traditional desktop PCs and placed in Compute clouds instead. Compute clouds are enormous server farms packed with computing power and storage space accessible through the Internet.
Instead of having to manage one’s own infrastructure to run applications, server time and storage space can be bought from an external service provider. From the customers point of view the benefit behind this idea is to be able to dynamically adjust computing power up or down to meet the demand for that power at a particular moment. This kind of flexibility not only ensures that no costs are incurred by excess processing capacity, but also enables hardware infrastructure to scale up with business growth. Because of growing interest in taking advantage of cloud computing a number of service providers are working on providing cloud services. Amazon, Salerforce.com and Google are examples of firms that already have working solutions on the market. Recently also Microsoft released a preview version of its cloud platform called the Azure. Early adopters can test the platform and development tools free of charge.
The main purpose of this paper is to shed light on the internals of Microsoft’s Azure platform. In addition to examining how Azure platform works.
The benefits of Azure platform are explored. The most important benefit in
Microsoft’s solution is that it resembles existing Windows environment a lot. Developers can use the same application programming interfaces (APIs) and development tools they are already used to. The second benefit is that migrating applications to cloud is easy. This partially stems from the fact that Azure’s services can be exploited by an application whether it is run locally or in the cloud.
Aventior offers Cloud strategy that includes design & development of cloud platforms on top providers; Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud & Microsoft Azure.
To unlock the fastest path to value from the cloud, enterprises must consider how to industrialize the application delivery process across each layer of the cloud environment, namely
- Provisioning
- Security
- Networking
- Deployment

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).

Tactical patterns within Domain-Driven Design (DDD) serve as guiding principles for creating clear and manageable domain models. However, achieving success with these patterns requires additional guidance. Interestingly, we've observed that a set of constraints initially designed for training purposes remarkably aligns with effective pattern implementation, offering a more ‘mechanical’ approach. Let's explore together how Object Calisthenics can elevate the design of your tactical DDD patterns, offering concrete help for those venturing into DDD for the first time!

Without a doubt, the adoption of the cloud is here and getting momentum by day
We know that the organization slowly moving from Traditional IT to Virtuallized environment to private cloud to managed clouds and public cloud
As the organization taking this journey, the workload are move from on-premises to off-premises. It change from Build to Consume Model
IDC latest survey reflecting this trend!
There is two signficant trends : Growth in Cloud Applications & Growth in Off-Premises Application
Globally customers are moving their IT workload to Off-Premises and adopting Cloud infrastructures
The trends are happening in almost every sector across the industry
Let’s discuss the Hybrid Cloud in little bit detail and understand Why Hybrid Cloud is Important and What benefit it will provide to us.
By simple definition, Hybrid cloud is allows client to use combination of multiple type of cloud setup : Private Cloud, Managed Private Cloud & Public Cloud
The benefit of this Hybrid Cloud is as following:
- Accelerate the organizational cloud adoption
- Provide full control of organization IT environment
- Seamless flexibility in moving back and fourth of the computing workloads
- Relatively Higher Cyber Security
This a typical Challenges of Major Enterprise Organization within their Cloud Journey
Let’s double click on what it means to helping a customer transform to hybrid infrastructure.
One common problem (though not the only one) we hear from customers is like this:
Customer has 10K or more apps existing in their CMDB, running on over 10K servers.
This is poorly utilized, high cost, not agile at all.
They want something cheaper, more responsive to their business needs, while still maintaining the controls that they need.
What they want is a partner who can come in and evaluate and recommend next steps—
What apps can be scrapped or taken to SaaS?
Which traditional apps shouldn’t be moved at all but should be industrialized onto newer converged infra to lower costs
Which apps should move to the cloud but need to stay on prem
And for those apps that can get to the public cloud where security isn’t a big concern, then please help me do this.
And give me common managed services—integrated chargeback and billing, security auditing, and so on.
**These numbers are representative of what one customer might achieve, but this isn’t necessarily what all customers will have. **
This is a fair representation of a type of customer problem that customers have when they talk about transforming to hybrid infrastructure.
To effectively match applications and workloads to the best infrastructure that fits their requirements, customers need a hybrid infrastructure.
The potential of Hybrid Infrastructure
Deliver “always on” services
Auto-scale to maximize your businesses growth potential
Empower developers to build apps and microservices fast
Move from large, monolithic applications
Reduce operational cost with automation
Reduce CapEx with the appropriate resource utilization
Transform Culture: More Dev, less Ops
